  1. GAMA Will someone please inform them that putting portable SAMs on helicopters is unrealistic :megalol: PS. and here's the landing
  2. It has to do with expired ordinance that was used towords the end of the conflict (you could see that on the neatly printed labels :D). On Batajnica airfield alone something like 5 or 6 penetration bombs failed to detonate (along with a few dozen bomblets from cluster bombs, but that is "normal") and two guided missiles (one of them hit by AAA). One of the bombs was stuck about 2m under the taxiway just in front of an aircraft shelter. A volunteer pulled out the airplane (think it was a 21) with a tractor going over it. The airplane was later lost on ground, but the volunteer lived to tell the tail :)
  3. And the return flight on one engine :)
  4. You can't nuke what you can't see. (and I don't mean stealth)
  5. That's the thing I'm afraid of. The state of Russian army is now only going to get better with time, so if someone was to do it, they would do it pretty soon :noexpression:.
  6. Here's something to help you wait
  7. It is, but at the extremes it's only usable against stationary targets, or targets traveling at a constant speed. That might work in a desert, but elsewhere the terrain alone is going to make your movable target jolt enough for you to miss. What can only fire while sitting? T-34? KingTiger? Don't know about others, but in our army it's a normal thing for even T-55s to practise shooting on the move.
  8. ^^what he said :)
  9. Range? You have to be pretty damn stupid or careless not to MOVE at the M1's max range. At those ranges you need to have a weapon you can guide if you are to hit anything. It might work in an open desert but not a toy I would like to take cross country. And you better not laugh at someone else's fuel supply soulutions while talking about M1. And don't get me wrong, the T-72 isn't any better either. They're all tin cans basicly and in the end it would come down to numbers and strategy.
  10. Make that "ok" tanks.
  11. The forum has been there and done that. The second video has nothing to do with the first one. It's an age-old SAM against an age-old fighter
  12. No (at least so they claim) The show continues showing the rescue. Here's the entire show Situation Critical: Downed Pilot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtvi7OGp-Qw (5 parts)
  13. It simply isn't a documentary. It's a reenactment. A documantary is something that features original footage of an event. The SAM opperators even have wrong uniforms.
  14. It's shooting down of an F-16 doing air patrol by Serbian forces in Bosnia.
  15. And it looks like it's missing the left wing after takeoff... take that, F-15 :D
  16. You can buy most of the things from that list (nuts, bolts, optic cables... It would be nice to say to your neigbour -Hey, I've just repaired my old garage door, and now it has the same nuts and bolts as the F-22! -Yeah, how much did it cost? -Not much, 30k $ :D), but the one's you can't are kind of... essential :D
  17. It's an old video, and there's a better quality version around, but still a great one. I wish we atleast had a DCS quality player model of the 21 in DCS :)
  18. What do they say over radio at the end?
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kCpN4hntw8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyHXs-NoZg4&NR=1
  20. Who's talking about AMRAAM's and shooting down? I'm saying they would have no problem detecting an F-22 radar lock or search in an intercept. If it came to shooting anything the message from Russia would come from miles higher and 10 times faster...
  21. Those bombers are probably so stacked up with sensors that they would have no problems picking up radiation from a toster, let alone a F-22 lock ;)
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHa4WK9GytI
  23. Even if you don't, it's full of nean and rare footage :)
