  1. click back out in to spectators and then back in to the aircraft slot. Hey presto!
  2. its cool I sorted it now. placed it In the C drive user saved games folder
  3. Hi, I downloaded the Tornado, extracted the file, and placed the VSN_Tornado in to the Mods-Aircraft folder in DCS open beta. I can add the plane as client to missions but I cannot fly it, only observe it in external player. On the installed aircraft list VSN_Tornado is listed, but I can even select it in the setting menu to bind controls. I am unsure how to resolve this? I do have FC3 installed, and I ran the su2t avionics cmd file in the folder.
  4. but they are CA units floating? It's a map/DCS in general issue? Cheers for clearing that up
  5. Thank you!!! Now I know which button to press :):megalol:
  6. That's where I am going wrong mate, I have the switch in the down position but when you say the NWS button on the hotas should be pressed I don't know what you mean. A button on the joytick in game?
  7. Hi guys, sorry in the options I think there only 3 options for NWS. off, on, on until off or something. I have it mapped where when off its in caster, and when on its NWS (and the anti-skid light is illuminated). The only NWS switch I can see is the one near the gear and flaps indicator. Its has two positions, which when flipped, alternates between caster and nws. I just don't get how you get high grain on. sorry to sound daft.
  8. Whilst bombing tanks, some enemy armour in the group dispersed off the pier in to the water and just drove on it like it was land. Is this a known issue? See attached image for lolz
  9. Just incase you hadn't seen my post about rippling GBU38s dude: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4191724#post4191724
  10. nice vid, and good choice of livery! How do you get the NWS on to super tight for on the carrier? I heard in a video you have to hold down the NWS button, but when i do nothing happens?
  11. Confirmed you get serviced! The farp did have a load of fuels trucks etc dotted around though. It was on a Nevada map. Trouble I had was taking off, I was quickly over the vertical take off weight limit, and struggled to complete a very short takeoff due to the Harrier bobbling over something on the ground and turning in to a firey burrito.
  12. … up to 10 targets in a single pass. Oh yes! :)
  13. Hi, I am interested in joining a UK group to play with casually. I can spare a few hours some evenings after work, or sometimes in the day before work depending what i'm doing. Do I just jump on the discord?
  14. Thanks for the video man, really interesting. Of notes he does mention the aim-120. However without a radar I'm not sure how that would work? Magic?
  15. I'm guessing this will be a way off, but I wold love that
  16. Dude ..... wikipedia fed me lies man
  17. I got it in the sale and i'm having a blast with it!
  18. I got the Harrier, it needs polish but I really want the Tornado to be totally happy. Finger crossed.
  19. Just a quick question in relation to the Harrier and its development. Will we be seeing implementation of the Harm and Harpoon? (or B61 :) lol ) The wiki page states they are weapons in its arsenal, I would enjoy using them i think! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_AV-8B_Harrier_II#Variants
  20. yeh im making sure tdc is selected so that solves the slewing problem. I don't alter or touch the laser code as I am practicing on my own mission at the moment. The mav still won't fly to target however. I have been watching this video for instruction, which is a bit old now: I'm doing what spudknocker is. Tpod slew over the target and turn the laser on it. I uncage the mav, and the white block normally isn't in view on the mav screen until I nose down on target. With the laser turned on I fire, and the mav leaves the rail but just goes straight. Am I missing certain target designation buttons for the tpod or something does anyone know?
  21. Hi Squirrel, Yes I'm definately using the laser mavs, I can use the ir mavs fine. I am sure I have engaged within 8nm, however I am not sure what the in range cue looks like. on the youtube videos they just seem to fire at the lased target and it works. So when I go back to wanting to slew on the tpod, I have to make sure that TDC is underlined? I haven't paid any attention to this so I don't know if it was or wasn't. I will play around with the TDC and wp increment etc. Thanks for the advice!
  22. Hello, Whilst learning how to implement laser guided bombs and mavs, I came across two issues. I can get LGBs to track the laser to a designated target and hit it fine, but not the mavs. I am doing the same thing in the tgp, slewing to a target and lasing it, uncaging the mav and seeing a white brick on the the mav screen. However the mav just seems to fire straight and not hit? Secondly once I have hit a target with an lgb on my tgp, I go to slew to another target and it will not move. I have to undesignated to center and re-slew to the area. Am I doing something wrong? Regards, Chris.
  23. Lenop dude that is slick!!
  24. Thanks Cornelius!!!! :)
  25. Hi, I'm getting to grips with the Harrier at the moment, and was wondering if anyone that uses the thursmaster t.1600 fcs with the twcs for the harrier had a profile they wouldn't mind sharing or could offer any recommendations on mapping. I have most of what I prefer mapped, and I have the hotas sensor switches and tdc slew (I think that's what its called) mapped to it at the moment I am just stuck on getting mavs to launch. Regards, Chris.
