So very true. How I miss those days and that sim. Just think about that sim today with today's technology and graphics capabilities: I'd never go to work. :)

ED any hope of getting a new hardcore jet aircraft simulated like the what you did with A-10C? For me it was the level of systems simulated in a jet sim that drew me to DCS. I feel like those days are over and I was hoping you could let's us know if that is the case.

He's already replicated the problem in an instant action mission, then created a simple mission, and now you want him to create the track without TrackIR just to reduce the file size. Flying without TrackIR is hard enough. Please try to remember that he is debugging your software for free. You might want to meet us halfway considering that most of us are not developers and were doing the best we know how.

Do you think SLI and multicore development will ever become transparent to developers so they don't have to code proprietary software to take advantage of it?

I'm not comparing anything. I just want to know if we will ever see another aircraft from ED with the same level of sophistication and realistic modeling that went into A-10C in another jet, or is it time to move on. The kind of work that went into A-10C requires a whole development team, it is not something a third party developer can realistic do.

Occam's razor summarized: all things being equal, the simplist explanation must be the truth. If ED were developing another hardcore jet similar to the level of functionality of the A-10C, then why wouldn't they want us know to keep us interested. The only possible conclusion is that they are not working on a new Jet Aircraft and they are developing DCS World to continue residual sales through the use of third party developers. There is a big difference between 3rd party mods and a 600 page manual and a highly functionally modeled aircraft with complex systems.

I would like to believe your right, but with almost six years of waiting and every flight sim company eventually coming to end, it's hard to remain optimistic.

From what I have read, I get the impression that I should stop waiting for ED to release another American jet with the same hardcore development that went in to A-10C. I guess unless the US military is going to pay ED to develope another aircraft like what went into DCS A-10C, then I guess ED will not be releasing anything as exciting as we saw with the A-10C.

Multiplayer Crash with 1.2.2.7122 I tried several times to startup and taxi on the 104th server last night. My screen always froze before I ever completed my startup. I am not looking for a mod, but a hardcore fully developed F/A-18. With flight dynamics and avionics modeling similar to what was put into the A-10C. I have waited a long time for this aircraft and I believe many other have as well.

I think it would be great if ED could give us a hardcore jet like the F/A-18 with advance flight dynamics and avionics modelled like the A-10C, and a carrier that we could practice realistic carrier landings. Please ED, give it some thought since so many people have been asking you to develop this for some time now. I know this venture would be an expensive undertaking, and I willing to pay more for this effort.

+2. Nice video Demongornot. If ED would build it I know I would pay for it. With ED's research and attention to detail, I believe this sim would rock more than ever. I know we still need a Navy Jet to land on it, but I believe that this would really help sales if ED would consider it. :)

There are a lot of us that would like to have a Naval Wing like we use to have with Janes F-18. I wonder if it is possible to use any of the code from Janes F/A-18 in DCS.

I get the impression that FC3 makes some improvements to the DCS World like improvements in the areas of the mission editor, special effects, new models, improved terrain detail, expanded theatre of operations map into eastern Georgia, and added logistics control to missions. I do not own FC1 or FC2 and I would prefer not to have to install some legacy software on my computer to be able to take advantage of what sounds more like advances that should be contained in DCS World. Its not that I am apposed to buying FC3 it's just that many years of trying to install legacy software has shown me that it can cause software installation problems, lockups and problems in the registry, which no matter how you slice it, always leads to eventually having to spend two days reinstalling all my soaftware and the OS from scratch. Maybe ED can provide some of these updates another way through the purchase of an update module for those of us who are not planning on buying FC3.

JG14 is D3D Overrider a setting in the NVidia control panel?

I just updated my Nvidia driver 301.42 to 304.79 beta in order to determine if the driver was responsible for causing the micro stutters and loss in performance after updating to DCS World. First impressions seem favorable. Stutters have decreased and frame rate is back up. I will not give numbers since all rigs are different, but I will say that performance seems significant on my rig running two GTX 590 in SLI mode. I never approve of running beta drivers, but the micro stutters and performance degradation I experienced in the sim made it un-flyable. The driver does not fix all the problems in the latest version of DCS World, but it does draw attention to the problem caused by updating our drivers while installing a new version of software in hope to give us the most reliable and stable platform as possible. Since the NVidia's 301.42 driver was released about the same time as DCS World's 1.2.0, I thought some of you might be experiencing added problems caused by this poorly tested NVIDIA's driver. There are still many problems within DCS World, but I thought some of you still running 301.42 might benefit from this information.
