  1. progress is held between restarts. The restart is in there to allow the server to run smoothly, we are considering adjusting in case blue to 4-5 hours, it all depends on the testing and stability.
  2. Can you be more specific? What's the issue you saw in the mission?
  3. depends if you actually take off, basically how it works is if you leave the ground and trigger a takeoff event with DCS, we catch that and take down a life. About the lives, this is still in testing, as we need to balance it better for WWII style. I think generally because engine failure and getting shot by AAA is much more likely, the lives are harder to preserve. As of now, the lives limit is on 7.

  11. Love Falcon Online, go Battle For Sinai! :D We are doing anything we can to try and get the warping/lag to a minimum, but we believe the main issue is currently with 1.5.3. Ping limiting has been on for the past day or so, it does not seem to make it more stable unfortunately. There are other options we are going through to help with this issue. I hope ED gives a fix faster then we have to implement any workarounds.
  12. cannot be done unfortunately, moving ground units create lag. We really wish the net code could support moving units, they would allow us to do so much more.

  14. I ask a simple thing, give me proof that the warping is caused due to ping. You cannot show that this is the reason. There can be a million other reasons and from what we saw, pings are not the reason. As you said mav, we have a function that is now not operational, it is off because we saw it did not matter. I believe, and again this simply guessing on experience as I cannot prove it, that the warping issues are related to DCS Net code and it's inability to hold the many events occurring in blue flag. Because we want to give any chance to stabilize blue flag, we will put the ping limiting on to see the results again.

Hehe, funny vid :) When I say extreme cases, I mean with very large pings that are caused when someones connection is completely unstable or he is using his bandwidth to do other things like download/upload etc.. It could very well be the case here with Cancri_HUN. There is no direct proof this was caused due to ping, it's very well possible that it was due to server net issue, DCS net code, server resources and numerous other things.
  16. We have a 2nd server that on some occasions runs Blue Flag, It is based in a Data Center in Germany and we had same or even worse results at times. Having experience from hosting other Sims/Games does not mean you know how it works in DCS or on any other game for that matter, Each is different and each has it's own issues in the net code. From our experience in DCS, ping is not the main issue for lag, we have been running events for over 3 years now in DCS, it can be a factor in extreme cases but usually it does not do the effect that everyone believes it does. Until you have other data that spans over a few years of running DCS events for around 60 players, I think I'll stick to what we have accumulated over the years :)

  19. Guys, we can always ban afterwards. We just need the nicknames you see with proof like a screenshot or track. Same for TS, you see someone doing something wrong, take the nickname and report.
  20. Yesterday it was released for the open beta, not the stable release.
  21. A word about the people joining with either hurtful nicknames, intentional team killing or intentionally changing DCS for their benefit in anyway. We keep information about players joining our server, any player that violates these normal conduct rules intentionally, will be automatically banned.

  23. Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. This setup has undergone considerable amount of testing, therefore we will not be doing changes in this round, but will gather your feedback for next rounds. Have fun and remember, more players on the other side means more targets ;)
