  1. Hello everybody, i just viewed the Su25T tutorial on the Shkval. My problem is: I can't use its magnification. If i use "Display Zoom In" and "Display Zoom Out" the Shkval is able to Zoom in two steps. The tutorial clearly says there are three steps: 1x, 8x and 23x. The tutorial mentions also that the currently used magnification is displayed in the tv. However, if i zoom in using "Display Zoom In" i can't see this indication. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong? I bet i only use the wrong controls but i just can't find the correct ones.
  2. Ok i made a Track. The first connection was quite short but the following were a bit longer. You will notice the disconnects a few times. EDIT: Uploaded the mission file also. refueling bug.trk refuel training.miz
  3. Also i didnt really think it would work, i converted my mission into a MP mission and fired it up in a LAN server. Result: Exactly the same. First connection works fine. Every following connection leads to "disconnect" 1 second after "you're taking fuel". The boom stays connected until i maneouver out of the envelope. I tried saying the tanker "abort refuel" and doing a complete reapproach does not solve the problem. That means the all connections of the reapproach disconnect after 1 second too.
  4. I cant say because i never managed to refuel completely. LOL. However the operator says transfer complete if i hit the nosewheel steering button while being connected (which breaks the connection immediately)
  5. Yes i might fly too high. But the boom should disconnect from my plane instead of staying connected but stopping to refuel me.
  6. Hi everybody, i am trying to learn AAR. I have build a very simple SP mission to do that. The first connect to the tanker is just fine. But every following leads to the boom operator chatting "disconnect" but the boom is still connected to my plane. I think that after that "disconnect" the fuel stops flowing. Anyone knowing why this happens?

  8. A global map? It's taking ED forever to model only Nevada. Besides that, it needs much more than a global map. There are some other planets and moons out there. You also need something to lay your terrain around. I dont know whether the design of DCS would support a vehicle in orbit seeing the earth as a sphere. Currently the environment is pretty basic. Just think of the sea. It is just represented as a perfectly flat moving texture under the whole terrain. No difference between the sea and rivers or lakes. Next you need physics for more than just aerodynamic flight. Gravity affects many things. ED didn't model the wind creating waves on the water. What about the Moon's influence on the sea? Orbiter models not everything I have mentioned but Orbiter doesn't have the quality of DCS when regarding the targets of DCS. So if ED would decide to create a space sim they would have to start pretty much from scratch. Sry for bad english I am german.
  9. Hey guys did anyone ever checked out Orbiter ? Thats the best space simulator i have found yet. The atmospheric flight model is limited and so are the graphics and the capabilities of the included ships but is has realistic space physics. And it has 3D graphics. It has even support for TrackIR and FreeTrack (however, the good ships dont support it due to a 2D cockpit)! And don't forget to install very many addons because it simply doesn't make sense to play Orbiter without them.   10. I can imagine an advanced Debriefing page where you can analyse your damage and see what was damaged when and what caused it and what type of enemy damaged you most and so on.
  11. I installed DCS World 1.2.0.63205 and started it up. Ingame it showed Version 1.2.0.3205. Is that behaviour intended?

  13. Very nice idea! I think it would be very nice to see things that didn't lead to an failure but weren't that good for your equipment. Just think of the shutdown procedure: Why do you have to let the engines 5 minutes on idle before shutting them down? What happens if you ignore that and just turn them off directly?

I have T. flight HOTAS X and i have to say that the small number of Buttons is not the best, but if you use 5 Buttons as modificators for the Coolie Hat (like I do) you are ok with almost the complete hotas of the A-10. There only lacks a mic switch, a boat switch, pinky switch, and airbrakes. But these aren't that important so i have them on the keyboard. My hotas covers MMCB, looking around, CMS, DMS, TMS, SLEW, COOLIE, TRIM, CHINA and left throttle button. And of course weapon release and fire gun. Regarding TrackIR: Also i have mapped looking around to my stick, it is much better to have TrackIR. As i dont have enough money for a TrackIR i got a free one! FreeTrack allows you to have a HeadTracker almost for free. I am using an unmodified 10€ Webcam with my self-crafted 3-Point-Cap using white LEDs from Conrad. Make sure the LED emit their light in a wide angle so your can don't loose track if you don't look exactly at your camera. Oznerol
  15. I am disconnected before i can start up the A-10. This is not tolerable. I want to play online again! I am going to install old 1.1.1.1 to see if that works.
  16. It works thank you! I noticed the Blackhawk will hover very low if no structure or vehicle is around. If there is one, it will hover much higher (three to four times). Another thing is that the heli will not hover exactly at the waypoint. In my case the heli hovers always a few meters south of the WP. But the precision is high enough to simulate a heli picking up an enemy commander.
  17. Hello Community, I have an enemy command post. After neutralising the air defences i want a blackhawk to hover very low above the command post. After that the Blackhawk has picked up the important persons of the command post it would be nice if it returns to base. My problem is that i am not getting the Blackhawk hovering at low altitude at a certain point. Does anyone know how to do this?

  19. Hello! I have been trying this for hours now and wasn't able to find a solution. My mission includes an artillery site wich fires into a city. As the GRAD lauchers take some time it is possible to kill them before they launch any rockets. (they are activated if the player is close enough so the player is able to kill them in time) My problem is: How do i trigger the event which causes the player to loose score if the artillery has launched the rockets? (or the other way round, the group has been killed before they launched, doesn't matter) :helpsmilie: I hope you can help me.
