Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 5

I second that. Please fix GCI slots, model enlargement and closed airfields. -

Oh yeah and the model visibility enhancement seems to be no longer forced off. Very annoying as sam systems can now be spotted from miles away. -

Yeah the forward observer slots seem to be gone. Why? -

I have noticed that after a while huey-dropped SA6 systems shut their radar off (it stops turning) and they stop shooting even though they still have ammo. Is this intended behaviour? -

Server is responding extremly slow. Everything that reqires server communication takes minutes. Select a slot? Well nothing happens and then 5 minutes later your name appears in the field. Want to pick up a crate? Minutes after selecting the crate it finally appears in front of me. -
Universal Model Visibility Setting Mod
Oznerol256 replied to Why485's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Very interesting and certainly a more elegant and better solution. This means all little details of the aircrafts, like angle and used skin, are retained, right? -

Universal Model Visibility Setting Mod
Oznerol256 replied to Why485's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
The scaling in DCS works by placing an image over the small target. So the actual 3d model is not rendered bigger, but instead a big image is placed over the target. The problem: That image always has the same amount of pixels (resolution). On a low res monitor the same amount of pixels make up a much bigger portion of the image than on a high res monitor. To answer your question: No, you dont see targets later. You only see them smaller. -

Server just went down. -
Is there a way to turn off 3D navigation? Maybe in the IFFCC test menu somewhere?

Please dont add the helo stuff back in unless you are sure it doesnt affect server performance. The fighter pilots keep complaining all the time. As a Huey pilot i like the hover feature, but i can live without if it makes for better gameplay for the fighters. Sparrows diving into the ground because of the enemy lagging into the ground should not be a deciding factor in air-air engagements.

Whenever i try to use the flexible sight using the mouse i find the vertical axis to react very spotty and nonlinear. The horizontal axis behaves much better. The problem get much worse while shooting (i.e. the framerate dropping down to 30 or less). In this state its almost impossible to hit something with the flexible sight. Tested on 1.5.2 Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Coalition?

What is the limit?
-
I second that. A single helicopter is capable of defending a FARP against several attacking aircraft. Shooting him down doesnt help and he can build SA-6s faster than they can be killed.
-
Its probably a lock file somewhere that was not deleted when you killed the updater in the past. Try finding and manually deleting it.
-
Well what are the error messages?
-
I personally never had a problem with it. The built-in torrent client gives me download speeds of 5MB/s or more (yes, megabytes not megabits). "nothing works" is not a very helpful statement.

If you can't see it anywhere then that means it is not available. The limitation is imposed by the mission creators. Note that every airfield can have its own limitations and they can even be restocked while the mission is running. I have never flown a mission that actually used that though. Usually the airfields that are used in the mission have the all weapons in stock unless the mission creators have removed a few (like the CBUs in this case). I think the A-10C cold start mission (you will find it under MISSIONS in the main menu) has all weapons available. Also most multiplayer servers give you the full arsenal.
-
Did you just select one of the pre-defined loadouts? Some missions don't allow the full weapon arsenal or limit the amount of a weapons that are available. If you manually select every weapon by (right?)-clicking on the stations in the rearming menu you will only be able to select available weapons. Edit: I also recommend not taking more than 50-60% fuel unless you know you need more. Most missions don't require more fuel and the saved weight makes a real difference in handling and available power. Unlike most other jets the A-10 is quite fuel efficient and has large fuel tanks.

N/L means that there are no chaff or flares left. You have two displays for chaff and flare so you know which one it is. This information is also easily found in the A-10C flight manual. The countermeasure loadout is part of your weapons loadout. As such it can be changed in ME or in the actual mission by rearming (call the ground crew using any radio while the canopy is not closed) The Jammer should not have an impact on the automatic modes. Maybe you didn't have any countermeasures left? I personally always use the manual mode. For more in-depth information take a look at this video by ralfidude: Make sure your RWR is actually on (it should have been with the switches on ON as you wrote). The RWR also has some dead angles, but they are pretty insiginificant. I guess we would need a track to find out why it didnt show anything.

Moving DCS World install to SSD
Oznerol256 replied to Flogger23m's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
DCS sometimes accesses the disk during flight. For example if you fly into a new section of the map DCS loads it from the disk. This can sometimes lead to stuttering while DCS is loading the map chunk. A ssd will help with that. TL;DR: A SSD shortens load times, even during flight. -
It is the one you use to log in when you start the multiplayer.

This one has been around since 1.5.0 but i couldn't find a thread for it, so i am making one. I apologize if this ends up being a duplicate. Anyway, on both sides of the A-10C cockpit there is a problem with the 3D model. It looks like the external model clips into the cockpit. The screenshot was made on DCS 1.5.1.46722.87
