Update: nevermind, I think I fixed it, I don't know how, but it looks fixed..

Russian Language in English forum. There is a lot of Russian language showing up in the English foru, not from users (not in the posts by users), but official parts of the forums... I can't read it, so when for instance I got to hit reply the button says it in Russian, at least I think it does,,,
This seemed to have started in the last few days..
hans't anyone else noticed? I was looking to see if anyone else reported it...
I have both MSIE and Google Chrome browsers..
I see the problem in the MSIE browser, but not in the Google Chrome browser..... weird...
Anyone have an idea what is happening? I don't remember changing anything to change languages... :huh:

it just seems when i get a pause.. it's just about in the middle of a take-off.... or landing,,,, and I think, why now!! why now!! nooooooooooooo :doh:

Steam uses the auto-patcher concept, for all games... and if you don't want to over-write any mods you can turn off 'Cloud' feature in your options...
and of course keep backups..
note: I am not endorsing Steam, I am just sayin'

I am Curious about PC performance with P-51D Beta, and if other had the same performance, better worse??
first of all, my computer is not new and fast, but i fly IL-2 1946, IL-2 COD, Black Shark 2, Warthog, P-51 Beta, etc..etc..

Online play: i Have a new 'N' series cable modem/router with RoadRunner cable ISP with Turbo speed..
etc.. so it's just ok...
in P-51D beta, it seems to run smooth if it's only a couple planes and a few ground objects.. but if I add logic, more planes, ai, etc.. I start getting lots of pauses.
Are others having lots of pauses with missions when there are lots of ai, ground objects, etc.. ??

I’ve been checking out the P-51 for a week or so now. Lotsa fun ya know! I have noticed that when doing an external view on bomb impact’s I was getting no explosion graphics. I just wrote this off as a Beta issue and was going to just be silent about it! However; tonight 3 of us hooked up online together to test a new mission I’m working on. While in comms I asked my squad buddy Hollywood if he was able to see bomb graphics when the bomb hit the earth. He said yes he gets the explosions! However I still only get a tiny puff of brown dusty smoke when mine are hitting the ground. Yes I have setting to High and visa versa while testing this issue! Has anyone else had this experience? Any Ideas out here?

I have the same problem, my bombs don't go off,, and if I return a few minutes later, maybe in another aircraft, or not, I then see that a bomb had gone off, but not until a few minutes had passed.. has this been reported as a known bug with the Beta ??
btw, I have done a lot of testing, and read materials, watched moves, etc,etc,, I am convinced my methods are not the problem..

What?? Someone managed to kill the Superhuman AI? Impossible....(for me)
While I am not a dogfighter, more of a bomber type.. when I fight the ai , I try to get them down on the deck, which helps even out the fight,, they have less room to pull AI stuff down on the deck..

The radio on the P-51D is also giving me problems,, some airbases seem to answer my calls, others do not.. in the mission builder, I see where the aircraft has the place where you can assign a different frequency...
I have made sure the airbases I want to communicate with have the proper equipment for refueling, arms, etc.. but some still no communication..
Is there a manual (yet) that explains the P-51D Radio options better?

I made some missions with weather.... and found several things out,,, the first one is funny... when it rains it rains everywhere, in the hangers it rains too... lolol :doh:
In wind it basically impossible to fly the P-51D, well at least landing it is... in one piece.. Well maybe with a slight breeze,,, but any more and forget it..

I added a bunch of other aircraft and when the spawn in and out.. my computer freezes for a few seconds, which makes terrifying takeoffs... hopefully, someday I can get a computer that can keep up with the flight sims...
it runs ok if there are not many objects spawning.... just can't have many thing happening at one time.. or have someone else host... graphics are very nice.
Very hard to see and line up on targets, as I also thought it is very twitchy, and others have also told me it is twitchy, I will have to look into tuning the axis ont he joystick. It is very fast.... :thumbup:

Thanks for your reply, I'll try reinstalling them again when I get home. Pretty sure I installed the right ones but I know what you're saying, I might not have been concentrating at the time :)
I don't know the history of your computer, if those were the very first joystick drivers, or if you need to clean out any old ones..,,, as long as there are not old one left in there, and they are the right ones, and you follow direction, all should be well...
after 12 years of Saitek, I have my share of screwed up installs,,, plenty.. :joystick:

it sounds like your Saitek drivers got messed up.. maybe you installed them wrong or the wrong ones? I don't mean to sound like I am saying you don't know how, but hey, everyone has a problem once in a while..

one time I was cruising in the back areas of Nevada and some low flying airraft blew by our car going so fast that the shock wave and sonic boom felt like it was doing mach 4...
it was pretty crazy...
my father loved to explore the old ghost towns, the mining towns from the gold rush in the 1800's... in California and Nevada...

my squad flies wwii with IL-2 1946, and COD.. and also has quite a few members who have interested in A10-C, Black Shark, and now P-51.. we have
been around for at least 12 year, plus before that.. inother squads..
IL-2 is Tuesday, Wed IL-2 COD, Wed COD, Thursday is DCS flight sims..
Weekends are whatever anyone likes to do... or nothing..
we look forward to having campaigns again,, we have run campaigns that go several per yer.. both writing campaigns, having our own servers. After a solid 10 years of IL-2 campaigns, with other squads attending, we have branched out with a few or more members flying the DCS series.
If you have an interest in all or some of these, let me know..
our members are from the USA, Canada, Australia, with more friends and members all the way into Europe,, and who knows where else..
Most of our Members are USA, then Canada, then a couple from other places..
I can't tell you about how much attention the P-51 will get once it and the DCS series focus adds more variety..
which means we are not a P-51 squad but fly most of what I Listed.. and more to follow...
note: we usually get to know people after years of casual online flying contact, but I think if we have some missions up, you can come fly for some fun, and see how it works for you...
btw, most of us are older,, ages, 30 + up.. to 85 years old,, not sure what ages you are most comfortable with..

I don't think a stall speed applies to that logic there.
just saying the oleg would not even listen to the real pilot over one example stall speed information was refusued on several aircraft the pilot used to fly..

ED is in a very comfortable position with DCS. With the modern planes, fans probably would find it hard to prove something is wrong due to problems with obtaining proper documentation. And as for the Mustang, ED can always say: "Unless you happen to own a P-51 and fly it, shut up!" :D
One of our squadmates, flew Hellcats off carriers and early jet's and worked as an engineer for Boeing.. he personally talked to Oleg, and, not just jabber, but he sent him a of of Aeronautical info on the planes he personally flew. Oleg just refused to listen...
that was maybe 6 years ago,,, 7, ?? I remember all the communication back and forth...
finally our squadmate just gave up,,, he did what he could in all the communication really specific highly complicated information,, He tried so damned hard to try to get the people in charge to fix blatant problems with the fm..... of the planes he actually flew, but similar planes that share the same characteristics.. all the way down to problem with stall speeds that are way wrong on some of the naval aircraft..
There are a lot of people we fly with who actually flew some of the aircraft.. I have talked to P-40 pilots personally... B-24 bomber, navigators, ... I talked a Corsair Pilot who flew Korea doing bombing runs...on Hitlers Oil fields,, and more...but they are getting pretty old now...
I chatted with them for many hours..in person... (I met them and ride to the Veterans hospital with them often..) I listen to them sometime talk in groups with other pilots... i hear about things that are not done int he game, some mods they did to aircraft int he field to get better performance and stuff. of course I would not expect the mods to get into the game,, I am just saying These guys were there, and still have great memory...
but when the actual pilot tries to directly communicate real experience data and gets nowhere... not much else can be done... any pilots who actually fly these planes now do not do combat at all, as they are too valuable to push to the limit and dangerous.. so you still can get dent fm/dm from anyone who flies any that still remain.... at least ballpark... but some are not even in the ballpark...
Of course I will sound mean if I don't credit where credit is due, and yes Oleg did get a combat flight sim to market that is one of the most successful ever.. but it still naws on people,, what might have been... :doh:

Just had a fly of IL2 4.11.1 and for me (in the feeling of what I believe to be the physics fidelity) it just doesn't cut the mustard anymore :(.
It can only be because I've tasted the richness that is DCS P51.
that's because Oleg was smoking mustard when he made western planes..

well, I got an e-mail from support, but that didn't help..., but the party who sent me the serial still hasn't gotten support,,,
so, it's in limbo for now..
The serial number error problem needs fixed, the party that sent me the gift copy, also sent in a seperate trouble ticket to help get the issue fixed..

well after installing it 10x... trying eveyrything and send reports for help and trouble ticket..
the CDS P-51 is back at:
C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World
with Win 7 X64
still telling me the same messages, 'you don't have a license for this product',, still no multiplayer..
it worked great for those 2 days,, before the patch... after the patch... for a few more hours, then boom! only single player works now..
it is registered at the same email address and same password as A-10C, FC2.0, BS1, and BS2... they work just fine I keep checking those...

is that part of my problem why I can no longer log onto the master server, and get the message that ' you don't have a license for this product' appears when I try to fly P-51 online?? Or is this exactly they way they are suppsoe to be...?
Which, as I stated in other posts, worked fine until 2 days ago..

yes, my other DCS installs work fine on and off line:
DCS FC2.0, BS1, BS2, A-10C.

btw, well at first I could log into the DCS World server, then a couple days after the new patch, I could not log into the server.., after re-installing DCS World online, it worked again, but then after re-install of the P-51, I again could not and get the damned message saying 'you don't have a license for this product'.
of course I have full access and own the computer, the administrator rights stuff just makes using your own computer a hassle,,,

You login using the account name you used to purchase the DCS-P-51D/DCS-World...
if you activate it with the same account you log in with... why not... like all my other posts say ,,, all my other dcs sims are happy and work..

If I understand correctly, Ramstein didn't buy his license himself, but got it from someone else as a gift.
As a result, he can't log in to the master server, since (according to the master database) he doesn't have a license (but his friend who gave it to him does).
I have the same problem.
Since I don't have a credit card, a friend of mine bought several licenses, and gave me one.
I can now play P-51 in single player, but I'm unable to play online, since this license isn't connected to my account, but to that of my friend instead.
Is there a way to solve this problem, i.e. transfer a license from one account to another?
what I totally don't understand is why it worked up until 2 days ago, then just cut me (us off) ??

well I can log into DCS world again, but can't launch the DCS P-51 log in Master server...
I thought it was fixed but only the dcs world works now...
I run everything with Win7 x64
so they are al now in the same directory

It appears that the path must be the x86 path,,,
I also placed the dcs world in the same directories as my other dcs flight sims...
So far, I can log in the Master Server with DCS world, I haven't got to putting P-51 back in yet... I wil do that in a few minutes..

I took off with full weapons and fuel fuel!, and was succesfull and went ona full mission, and learned a bit about switching fuel tanks as they drained..
it really takesa lot of skill to work trim and figure out what fuel tank to change and all that stuff in manul flight modes.
I of course bungled a few tak-offs.. I am learnign when to trim, what to trim, etc...
my limbs shake so it harder to adjust and hold controls... I don't like using trim wheehs unless necessary..
I found my in game trim re-rest ddin't change all trims back to neurtal. I had
to adjsut trim knobs and wheel while flying after takeoff...
I like flying this P-51D and learning how to make it work properly with my
own settings,, and what the training teaches me...
The sophisticated missions wiht logic really makes great fun challenging missions...
A Korea era mission or campaign witht he proper objects and aircraft might work and could be a real hoot...
