  1. Hi, not sure if I'm hijacking the thread. I'm trying to program a unit to to switch from hold and start moving after another unit receive some damage. I've placed this Unit.getLife(truck1) < 2 Where "truck1" is the name of the unit to receive damage. Anyway, that crashes the engine, because there's something wrong with the grammar of it. Could you tell me how can I program this (if truck1's life less than 2) please?
  2. As far as I know the latest TARS works with the latest Teamspeak and the latest DCS. The feature with right, left, both headphones doesn't seem to work with me, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.
  3. Right, I get it. But thanks, I realized I can use it as JFO too.
  4. There is a JFO view (Ctrl+F7), is that what you mean? There is no binoculars, but you can zoom in and out and with a "piece of map" you could probably guide air strikes.
  5. Both. Also I tried a bunker as it looked promising when I saw "Player can drive" in options. But there is no icon to enter it from map, like with tanks and apc's. Is there a different way to access it ?
  6. The "Armed house" doesn't work in my editor. How do you do that?
  7. That sounds good, thanks.
  8. It is a solution. It obviously spoils the fun a bit (especially when rolling down the hill), but it is a substitute. Thanks, I'll try that. EDIT: The vehicle is still visible for other players, isn't it ?
  9. Exaclty, it depends on a mission. I'm editing a mission where I would like a group of A-10 sneak behind enemy lines and bomb a weapon depot. I wanted the strike to be guided from a hill top by a special forces team (player) JTAC. I can't place an vehicle that far into the enemy territory. For me it would be enough to have possibility to move the same way as an pilot after ejection, or perspective view over a soldier (s) + binoculars view. More or less the same as with vehicles. Both walking, or plotting path on the map would open possibilities for new types of missions.
  10. If you read the book "Danger Close: Tactical Air Controllers in Afghanistan and Iraq" by Steve Call, you will see that in Afghanistan the JTACs are never in a Vehicle (maybe on a pony sometimes), calling air strikes when hiding. Once from a roof top and the target is another house few houses away. How do you hide in a bush in a Humvee ...and why would you need protection from small arms fire if you are targeting a tank platoon ?
  11. I'm seriously hoping for an infantry JTAC. Just an unit with binoculars or SOFLAM, as it doesn't make much sense to sneak up to an enemy base behind enemy lines, in a Humvee or place the Humvee on a top of a tall hill...
  12. When you enter the mission editor and the triggers editor, you have an option in the middle column in the drop down list, something like: object object_name altitude is lower/higher then altitude_value .
  13. Do you switch HARS to EGI too ?
  14. Big thanks to the 74 Flying Tigers. Much appreciated the demonstration, narration by Tyger and all the useful hints. P.s Pity my Internet died during the flight and my plane went "Warp one, engage !" ;-)
  15. I thought you can drive the aircraft over the grass as long as you have a certain (lo) weight ?
  16. Fair enough.
  17. Your assumption on the other hand is not fully explained, how do we know if it's functional ?
  18. Agree. But when you look outside of the cockpit you will see the skin on your airplane and all other planes using the skin. That's what I wanted to say.
  19. The skin doesn't have to be on the server...and as far as I know, only you have to have the skin installed.
  20. Taking it a little bit further...Can you check if the player received the message (check what channel was the radio tuned to ?) Just like in the tutorials ?
  21. Thanks for the info.
  22. Hi. I have placed an A-10C with a "Client" as the skill. When I go to the failures tab it is clear. The systems appear when I switch the skill to "Player". Is this a normal behaviour, or there is something wrong with my installation?
  23. Got it! Thanks!
  24. The last time I have used it was for mission testing (when creating a mission). Also used it once to test JTAC capabilities and it was quite cool. Currently the steering with turret going all over the place is just a nightmare (or maybe it's specific for my game?). Fortunately when you switch to binocular view it's steady. We would use it more if we had volunteers to do the ground force job, but we are small A-10 squadron. Can't wait for the release !!
  25. Hi. I have exported my A-10 MFCD's to a second monitor. The second monitor is on my left side and I use it only for the MFCD's, so I get problem when I switch to CA. This is of course logical. I wonder if it's possible to set up a separate configuration in the DCS World, only to be used by CA, without modifying the A-10 one ? I would like to configure CA, to play on a single monitor. If it's possible, would much appreciate hints.
