It looks fairly safe to say that within the next two years, we could be seeing insanely modelled Ka-50, Apache and Hog. That seems to be a far better idea than waiting 2-3 years before seeing anything in Tank Killers. It's almost like the episodic content craze going on at the moment.

I hope I'm interpreting your question right: If ED are creating new aircraft from scratch for the DCS series, be it the Su-27, Su-25, etc, I don't see why it would have legal implications with UBI. UBI don't own the rights to the aircraft. *gasp* or do they? :D

Lock On came out at the end of 2003. You can't expect ED to be constantly updating it. I don't use many mods at the moment and there are times when Lock On looks absolutely breath taking. I will admit that a patch sounds like it would make most of the community happier (won't bother me, I don't need no steenking modelling defficiences to make me miss with an AMRAAM), but the patch still wouldn't include models, texture upgrades etc.

If it was still the intention to go with Tank Killers, we'd still be waiting for that for a long time. The way I see it, at least we get parts of that as they are finished. There is still Lock On, and with the excellent mods that grandsurf, rockwelder and Yeniceri are doing, it's going to be taken to a whole new level. But I will admit that a patch for 1.13 would be welcome!

Erm, I think it took a little more than just a 3d model of a cockpit. and it's not stand alone. You will be able to integrate it with other aircraft when they are released.

hahaha. I'm pretty impressed by this. I think it denotes progression with these simulators and to me it seems we will have the updated aircraft much sooner. Now hurry up and release the Shark! :D Huzzah! :thumbup:

There are a lot of complaints about the Evolution map, but I quite like it. Except when it gets down to the last two towns, all the vehicles are missing and it takes forever to get to the frontline.

Here Aeroscout: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=25279 Urze showed a way to start your PC with background processes on one core, and run other programs (like Lock On) on the other core. Just follow the instructions.

I had this exact problem. Copy the install file on the disk to the desktop (or somewhere else on your hardrive). Run the install file from there. It should run as normal.

I have the same processor, but overclocked to 3.1Ghz without any problems with Lock On. It could also be the 2900XT drivers? I hear lots of bad things with those at the moment, but a 'miracle' update due out soon...

Sounds possibly like a background process is causing Lock On to minimize briefly and on return to the game, there is a graphics corruption. Make sure your anti-virus or firewall aren't set to update automatically. That use to cause Lock On to do something similar on my PC.
