I can definitely recommend the e6600. I recently installed one and still running on stock speeds, with Lock On running with most settings on high and getting around 65 fps. Can't wait to overclock it! You can use the remaining cash to get better RAM and the 680i mobo :D But if you want to get the 8800GTX with a view to installing another at a later date, you will probably need a 750w-800/900w PSU!!
