Have you set the 'Water' setting to High in the graphics setting? If so, change it to Medium. Some of the missions will crash at a high water setting.

Around '94/'95ish - the first component upgrade I ever purchased - Adrenaline Voodoo Rush 8MB video card. AUS$450 of pure crud. 3. TrackIR. I couldn't believe that such a thing had been made when I first saw it. I bought it feeling sceptical about its effectiveness. I was pleasantly surprised!!

I think the question is: what are the other specifications of your PC. It's not good getting a 8800GTX while still running an AMD 64 3500 :) The other point is, I'm not really sure you're going to notice a huge performance difference between the R600s and the 8800s. It might really come down to the cost factor. I think while shopping for any component, the best thing to do is do your research, make your choice, and don't worry too much about not getting the best component out there. It's too stressful doing that!

You can order a disc from MS that contains updates up to service pack 2. It's free of charge. That will save you a lot of downloading each time you reinstall

I dream for a day when we will be able to add a touch screen overlay to our existing monitors, look around the cockpit with the TrackIR and flick switches and press buttons in the pit. Ooooh yeeeahhh....

I think this might be the case. I see no reason why the monitor should need a VGA AND DVI cable plugged into the video card. It's one or the other! Give it a shot - the worst thing that could happen is that your PC explodes! :P

What resolution are you running Lock On at? That might have something to do with it.

That's not a problem. Your router is probably set up to give each computer a random internal IP, and just chose those numbers.

I believe you can buy those Thermaltake side panels with the large fan seperately. All you would need to to do is make sure it will fit the case of your choice!! Dang, can't find a link to an example, but I have seen it!
