  1. OP didn't ask abount Cougar or CH. Please keep to the topic. I vote for Saitek Cyborg.
  2. X52 Pro here and happy with it. I think is the best value/cost and will be interesting to see the LEDs and MFD working when PCIP is avaliable.
  3. ¡Qué guapo te está quedando! Plz keep working on this, it will be a must-have mod when it's finished. Somebody should mod some taliban :D
  4. I was trying to make a real spanish skin, so I decided to paint the Shark like the most feared copter here in Spain: the Ministry of Interior traffic control copter that belongs to "Guardia Civil": Some real models: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Trafico---Ministerio/Aerospatiale-AS-355N-Ecureuil/1463356/M/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Trafico---Ministerio/Eurocopter-EC-120B-Colibri/1357840/M/ Download [Megaupload] Install with ModMan 7.1.0.7. Use with traffic enabled :D "We can't drive for you, we are counting the money"
  5. How this "new" trim works? I use to activate Flight Director to change altitud/direction avoiding FCS to be disabled, then, with a stabilized course, I press trim button, disable flight director, release trim button et voilà... in course and stabilized.
  6. DCS: BS is the best simulator since Falcon 4.0 so it's obvious it has to be the best 2008 sim
  7. Great! Thanks Miguez! @Alex O'kean: Is it possible to add switch status to the tooltips? Is that info stored as "public" and readable by .lua scripts?
  8. Un gran simulador para una gran distribuidora. Es una noticia fantástica para el mercado español. Ójala se forren vendiéndolo ;) Great simulator for a great publisher. Fantastic news for the spanish market. I wish they get rich selling it ;)
  9. I would love it! In fact, I asked for it at DCS Wish List thread! :smilewink: For those who say your mouse is over the switch, yes, it's obvious, but next time you want to use it you could remember the shortcut. I remember the Ctrl+Z shortcut because I've seen it many times next to "Undo", that's the way it works. Perhaps next time you want to turn a switch on you cannot move your POV to the cockpit or your right hand to the mouse. If you add keyboard shortcuts to the tooltips, could you enclose them in brackets? Battery 2 [LCtrl+LAlt+LShift+W]
  10. It's an old technology, I have a pair of ELSA 3D Revelator since 1999 and was not a good investment: · You need twice the framerate. With 30 fps you only feel 15 fps. · You need high refresh rate monitor, most LCD pannels doesn't give more than 60hz and at 60fps v-synced they still shows a trail (that ruins the 3D experience when it mix both eyes' picture). With CRT works really nice but I haven't one to test BS. · You need to set low resolution in order to get better refresh rates therefore lower image quality. · You need twice the power to show the same image quality (but in 3D) and a really expensive monitor with low latency. · Set up them for each game is hard, sometimes developers uses tricks that are not supposed to be seen but nvidia 3D stereo shows ruining the experience. Not all games can be played. · My ELSA 3D Revelator uses small expensive batteries with 4 hours of life. · Mine doesn't work with digital connections like DVI or HDMI, you need classic VGA port.
  11. Just trying to give you some rep+ but can't do it twice :smilewink:
  12. I'm trying "Alarm!" mission just now, could you add a checklist for night procedures? I vote for sticky too  EDIT: "You must spread some reputation around before giving it so SDeath again" :(
  13. My Wish List: · Show key command and status on tooltips. · Better support for multi-monitor. · Better and deeper training tracks, instead of a list of key command / actions.
  14. I solved it uninstalling Gametap.
  15. I really love it :notworthy:
  16. Zembla, he didn't ask for a hard-core gamer PC, I can give him the Alienware link. I'm offering a solution to get great performace with 250€. Perhaps he can move on to 4GB 800Mhz + Vista 64bit in the future, and get great performace with FSX but he asked for play DCS:BS, and 4GB will NOT give him framerate on DCS:BS. EDIT: Tomsardware CPU benchmark. Performace increases 20%-25% in games with high CPU reqs like Supreme Commander or Deep Fritz between E6400 and 6400+, is d0ppler decission anyway.
  17. Yep 240€ the CPU only. And about the RAM:
  18. Nvidia 9800GT 512MB: ~119€ GygaByte GA-M56S-S3: ~53€ Athlon X2 +6400 2x3200Mhz 2x1MB L2: ~84€* *(Boxed, CPU fan included) ----- 256€ That's here in Spain, with a 16% taxes included. All retail prices, not OEM. I have an AMD X2 5600+, Nvidia 8800GT 256MB and same nForce 560 chipset (but Asus MB) and I get +30 fps @ 1680x1050, anisotropic 8x and Freetrack running on background. No Overclocking. EDIT: With a 32bit system you can adress 4GB of RAM, but you should also count with Graphic RAM and more components so most 32bit systems with 4GB only adress a few hundreds more than 3GB of RAM (3,2GB-3,3GB). 4GB is "waste" money and 3GB is lost the dual RAM channel benefits. DCS must work fine with 2GB RAM under WinXP 32 bit. EDIT 2: I play on MAX settings. That's my advice.
  19. Did somebody notice it's 2009? C'mon, F-16 should be at the Smithsonian next to the Tomcat (I know I'll die for this but I'm drunk :P). I would like to see modern warfare, not 35 years old aircrafts from the cold war. I vote for Eurofighter, Su-35 or F-22.
  20. If a pilot doesn't trust his crew chiefs I would ask him to mantain, repair and refuel the aircraft himself. Perhaps even design and built it, in order to avoid evil engineers :P
  21. Freetrack works nice for me. I'm sure webcams are cheaper in Korea.
  22. Can the real Ka-50 perform a barrel roll? Any youtube link?
  23. Your Controls Display Window is probably hidden out of the limits of your screens. If you try arcade mode you can see the arcade radar and "hud" stretched to the virtual resolution, the one you set at options.lua: you probably cannot see what happens on the lower left corner of that big window.
  24. My config: 1st monitor: 1680x1050 2nd monitor: 1440x900 (left) I have a DualView config, but if I follow the BlackSharkAce config (thanks anyway for show me the path) I must set a ~4500x1200 res so my system's performace drops, I just need a few pixels from my second monitor in order to get the Shkval & ABRIS information. Black Shark centers the whole window and doesn't allow us to move it, but you can use a program like Win-X-Move (free) to move it (by alt-dragging): You can configure a smaller window that allows better framerate and get some space from 2nd monitor to use it with TeamSpeak or a PDF-reader. Thats my options.lua: (2nd monitor is 144 pixels higher than the main one) ["graphics"] = { ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "2monitor", ["color"] = "32", ... ... ... ["haze"] = 1, ["terrPrld"] = "20", ["height"] = 1194, ["resolution"] = "2080x1194", ["civTraffic"] = 1, ["width"] = 2080, }, -- end of ["graphics"] } -- end of options 1680px + 400px width 1050px + 144px height I get only 400 pixels width from my 2nd monitor, I can read the info and I don't lose performace. And my 2monitor.lua: Description = '2Monitor' Viewports = { Center = { x = 400; y = 144; width = 1680; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16/10; } } Shkval = { x = 0; y = 600; width = 400; height = 300; aspect = 4 / 3; } ABRIS = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 400; height = 600; aspect = 2/3; }The only problem is you need to dragg the window when you start a mission (like FSX :smilewink:). Sorry my poor english, and sorry if somebody said it before, I didn't found this info.
  25. Sorry if Grodin blow up at water but it's still a simulator, keep it real.
