  1. Just like I feared, turning Vsync off did not fix my problem. So I took Sobek's advice on the resource monitorand that showed me my HDD was seeing a lot of activity (remember : SSD gas DCS, HDD has Win7) I googled for a little bit and decided to shut down the "Windows Search"-service. Stutters are almost gone now, down to 4 or 5 during 5 minutes of flying low level with the Shark. Still, not gonna shout : "It's fixed." Let's see what it does in the next few days.
  2. Thank you guys. I tried switching off vsync in game, and that made the fps go up into the 70s and the stutters seem to have disappeared too. Now, passed experience has tought me to keep my fingers crossed and keep an eye on this for the next few days.
  3. Hi, like the title says, still seeing a little stutter every 3 seconds, when flying low with the Shark. The upgrade did bring up my fps to about 50-60, but every 3 seconds I see it dip to somewhere between 10 and 20, and that momentarily freezes the screen. Quite annoying. Specs are in the sig. I've got win7-64bit on a HDD and DCS on an SSD. What can I do to find out what is causing that stutter/drop in fps ? B
  4. You made me spill my drink. :megalol::thumbup: Rep inbound.
  5. James, Post your request in the "Forum and site issues" forum : http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=63
  6. It's sad to see the 74th disband, but real-life sometimes cuts into the things we enjoy doing most. I'll never forget meeting up in Duxford, and my time as a member of the 74th. Thanks again for all your hard work and long hours behind the scenes (website, forum, mission creating...), the 74th couldn't have been what it is now, without it. Your level of commitment is unsurpassed. It was a blast for sure. Also want to thank you for creating a place where my path of life intersected with that of the other 74th members. It was enriching. B

  8. I had the honour and privilege to meet Doris and Jim on several occasions. Doris always a lovely lady, Jim always a friendly gentleman. Last time we met was at the 2011 Flying Legends. During the flying display Jim enriched us with a ton of background information on all the aircraft, so much it made my head spin. Was the passing of Doris announced on these boards ? They will be missed, but I'm glad to have met them. Rest in peace. B

  10. The problem is that Windows is a bit overprotective when it comes to the program-folder, and that can lead to all kinds of inconveniences. It is wise to install DCS-World outside of the program folder. 32-bit or 64-bit doesn't matter. the installer will sort that out for you.
  11. Verify that your TrackIr-unit is compatible with the Pro-Clip :
  12. Great, enjoyable and informative read, as always. Thanks.
  13. Here's the file you're looking for, DieHard. LOFC_trains_time-table.zip
  14. Hey Max, Remember that the generous guys of the 104th provide that server (hardware and mission) for free for your enjoyment. So maybe it would be better to politely convey your points of view to them instead of telling them how to run a server by swearing. Remember, you have all the tools to create missions and a server yourself. Why not prove the 104th wrong in the way they run their server by putting op your own server with the settings you like best. The 104th deserve better than that.
  15. Well Max, you've got all the tools to create a server yourself. As JFK said long ago : Ask not what the DCS-community can do for you, but what you can do for the DCS-community. B
  16. Salvager, is there any particular reason you need to run version 1.1.1.1 ? If not, download and install DCS-World and A10 version 1.2.2 from this site. Your Steam-key should be good for use with DCS-World with A10C. Also please post your system specs and what OS you are using.
  17. Hi, your win8 32 bit is causing that problem. There was a trick for partially fixing the problem in win7, but I don't know if that works in Win8. The best solution is to install a 64bit OS. Here's the fix for Win7 : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1084420&postcount=8 B
  18. David, sorry to see your problem didn't get fixed. Have you seen this : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95562&highlight=Application+unable+start+correctly%280xc000007b%29
  19. Hi David, just to be clear, here's how it works : -download and install DCS-World (this is the base for all add-ons) -download and install FC3-add-on (only install if you've got the original Lomac and/or FC2 installed) -download and install latest DCS-A10 add-on and install. Currently we are at version 1.2.2 for World, A10C and FC3. Hope this solves it for you. B
  20. David, have you seen this : Also, FC3 is an add-on to DCS-World. DCS-world is free. Also, post up your hardware specs and your OS-version.

  22. Hi, sounds like you are using TrackIR ? Remap the keys in the TrackIR-software. B
  23. Hey Speed, thanks for taking the time to respond. Forgive me, but English is not my native language, so I'm asking for a little clarification on your post. If the problem does not lie with the master server or the code to display the master-server-list, where does it originate from ? And secondly, would you know if the problem of active servers not being shown on the master-server-list is fixed in the upcoming patch as well ? B
