It's a bit of a pain to become a direct credit card payment processor. The rules are strange and rather arbitrary (e.g. offering the site in a set of languages, etc.) - so we're avoiding it for now. Sorry!

We don't have the countries line in our desc's at all.

article in this months PC pilot is concerning
Cobra847 replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
The article was written a while ago (can't recall exactly when, january-ish?) Not sure why it states MC won't be available though, that's odd. That has never been the plan or intent. :) So, just to clarify: Multicrew will be available and working on Day 1 of Early Access and that has always been the plan. :) -
Hi Everyone, End of winter is rapidly approaching - and we’re proud to say that we’re now feature complete and in RC-type build status. What that means is that we’ve completed implementation of everything that we consider necessary for early access release, and are now focused on ironing out any remaining major or game breaking issues. We’ve launched the manual to great feedback (thanks to everyone who helped out and who has reported issues since!) and the only remaining step for us now is to get the aircraft in your hands. Over the past two weekends, we’ve ran two large stress tests with 30+ Tomcats on a single server. These have allowed us to debug various issues across a more dense multiplayer environment. The expansion of the testing team to include many more people has also been very helpful in establishing what needs revision and work. We’re eager to share with you the launch day of the F-14, pending ED’s final approval. We hope this will happen within the next few days. Also in the coming days, we’ll be going through what to expect from the F-14 Early Access, what our roadmap is for it’s final release (-A, Campaigns, other missing features, etc.) and projected timescales. Hopefully these will give you a good idea of what you’ll be flying on day one, as well as what the future holds for our F-14 project. The F-14 won’t be perfect when we launch, but we intend to show you just how committed we are to quality and our product in the days following release. Expect to be impressed. More than anything, thank you for your support. It’s what keeps us going on long, dark, coffee-fueled nights. We’re looking forward to breathing a little post launch and as we settle into our Tomcat journey together. Sincerely, Team Heatblur

We're planning to touch on this topic shortly as we ramp up production and ship things out :)
-
In all seriousness, it's now a maximum of 29 days away. We're close. :) Try not to rip us apart until it's - March 21st and it sucks or - March 21st and no Tomcat. :)

We did not have a script for this one, sorry (just saw your PM)

Our latest stress test was 30 people, with some multicrewing, some not. It was fine. Multicrew should not stress servers more than an aircraft. Perhaps even less. It remains to be seen what performance is like on a 60 person server.

Anyone than me that misses the "old" anti collision light?

Hope so! :D

We'll discuss our post-release plan before launch. :) As for people having access-- yes. That's sort of what needs to happen if something is to be tested. You don't balk at "ED Testers" having access to ED betas ahead of time, this is no different. We work with people close to us who we trust. The more eyes (at this point) the more we fix, the better things are on D-Day.

The content is split. You'll find a lot of detail on weapons / radar in the systems overview sections, for example: http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/general.html#an-awg-9-weapon-control-system-wcs

Hi Everyone, It's time to get your reading glasses on! Today, we're launching the early access version of our F-14 manual. This is a living document, that will change with fixes, improvements and expansion as we go along. Enjoy! Feedback is welcome as always. DCS: F-14 Manual Special thank you to Dino Might, RaceFuel85, Mower, AvroLanc and Stache for the proof-reading help! <3 Thank you for everyone who offered their help! Sincerely, Team Heatblur PDF VERSION: http://media.heatblur.se/F-14B%20Manual%201.0.pdf

Enjoy your first proper look at the RIO's office!

Sorry, realized I sounded oddly miffed in my reply earlier, my apologies. I just meant to say that we mostly already rely on content creators where we can (all amazing people, honestly!). 7 Going to start showing new stuff from now on :)
-
To be fair, pretty sure we asked our content creators to help out.. and they did.. and produced over 3 hours of footage in January. Not sure how much more beyond that we can go.
-
We could actually use one or two more sets of eyes to help with the copy editing pass. Anyone interested and a quick reader? :)
-
Come on guys. There's no way this post of mine is ambiguous whether it's guaranteed to come out this week. :) We're working hard on finalizing the last elements, I promise.
-
We're looking into this.
-
We're getting very close to releasing it - target is this week but may at latest slip some days into next depending. Copy editing pass is underway and we are adding some last diagrams.

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to drop in very quickly and update you on the Viggen. Unfortunately we're so stressed with the F-14 rollout that we've done a very poor job of keeping you in the loop despite ongoing work. We're frustrated that we've missed our final RC patch projection window for the Viggen, but work continues and we hope to get there soonest. Once we nail down our exact list of new features & corrections for the RC1 patch, we'll let you know on exactly what we hope to achieve with this major patch. Some of the items include longstanding additions like the new soundset and in cockpit-pilot, and others focus more on correcting bugs and errors. Stay tuned for more info ASAP, and thank you for your patience, with a little more breathing room we'll deliver on the final missing pieces. HB

It resets when you hit the deck again. (IIRC). Take a screenshot if you want to keep a library! :)

One of several novel features that we haven't shown yet is the Trap Sheet. The F-14 is a module of many firsts (JESTER, jetwash & vortices, advanced multicrew, etc.) - and another new DCS feature that we've not shown yet is the Trap Sheet. This function tracks your progress in the groove and gives you quick feedback on your carrier landings once you've hit the deck. Grade function still WiP. :)
