  1. RIO switches wont be this loud later. We mix and tweak all of our sounds to work well without "Hear as in Helmet" - which is quite frankly a very poor design decision (it basically throws all of the audio engineering out the door). Your mileage may vary. :)
  2. No VF-84 for F-14B, but on the -A? Absolutely. -103 will bear the skull and bones on the -B. As for the idea in the OP; We're actually hoping to do this - but haven't approached any SMEs yet (IIRC). Ideally we'd like to put a former RIO in one VR rig side by side with a pilot. That would be super cool. :)
  3. Odd! We'll check.
  4. No, there was at one point. :) We stripped it out during development due to issues. I too think this is a great feature to backport!
  5. Nice! Also; trade you more 3D data for more pics of the Dog. :)
  6. We released an hour of F-14 footage through the content creators we've been supporting over the last week. :) That was our plan for the "development update" this week. To be completely fair; it's not a development update per se; but I figured it would be more enjoyable than anything I could drop in here. We're still hard at work on most of the items listed in the OP and moving rapidly towards RC1. I'll put together a meatier and more detailed status report for next week.
  7. No, but good idea!
  8.
  9. Regarding airframe buffet; this is a good read from Nick who is one of our testers/researchers/SME liasons/Tomcat experts. Was posted on Hoggit recently :)
  10. Drink copious amounts of champagne.
  11. Just to bookend this a little; Generally, once money has exchanged hands, things change. That turns anything we've announced or set as a pre-requisite into a guarantee. You can't hold us to what we hope in a development update or public plan some time down the line once you actually pre-order and we've made a determination as to when we can guarantee that you will hold the product in your hands. So to summarize, again, we guarantee that you will be flying the F-14 by March 20th - as promised on our pre-order page(s).
  12. Germany has not banned placeholder or wide release windows. We have, and continue to guarantee, delivery of pre-orders this Winter. This has not, nor will it change. We have never asked, nor acted as if we're a hobbyist group - stop acting as such.
  13. We know it's too short; but if we make it longer - it looks far too bright in daylight conditions. Emissive materials are not easy to get perfect in all conditions.
  14. If only we weren't overworked and understaffed to not miss any e-mails/PMs.. It's harder than you think. :(
  15. Guys - you both need to read the quote above. :)
  16. And to add to that answer; the ICS knob already controls jester volume.
  17. Honestly - we'd love to. It's just a matter of development resources presently. We'd need to make strings and associate each string with each statement (..ish). I think we'll get to this eventually. Sorry for it being an issue from the getgo :( I'll talk to the team and see how difficult this will be to implement and see if we can offer some ballpark implementation time estimate.
  18. It was an intentionally poor landing. The non consistent line widths are known..
  19. Bug in ralfi's build.
  20. The noise probably won't be removed- it serves as nice feedback. It's way too loud currently, however- it will be subtle and not annoying.
  21. Current preview copies are extremely limited. We want to ease into sharing more and help outside creators to understand the jet. These things will happen in waves. :)
  22. Hey Everyone. We're in a bit of quiet mode because of the holiday period - expect news on the Viggen and the plan for the final few patches before 1.0 release just after new years eve. Thanks for flying the Viggen in 2018! <3
  23. This is correct. Giving us a window until March 21st allows us to release when we feel it meets our desired quality level. We're our own publisher, afterall - and this is one of the biggest benefits of this. (Though, we do have financial and community pressure instead of publisher pressure!)
  24. Eventually, yes. Probably not at EA.
