  2. There You go!
  3. ty belsimtek!
  4. Guys what's the best way to record my flight so I can upload it to YT?
  5. I am going to record a short video of me flying after adjusting axis. My guess is Belsimtek did actually made controlls realistic to the point You need a proper realistic long cyclic dedicated to helicopters to fly it. I have a question to Furia- what kind of joystic/ axis combination did You use while recording Your videos?
  6. OK GUYS I GOT IT! Sorry for shouting, but I finally managed to make it work right:) I fly with a Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner II. I couldn't controll Huey at all before. Now I set up cyclic axis to 20 curvature (or whatever it's called- it's not linear anymore near the center anyways). Now I managed to do what I expected to do. I did a proper taxi, takeoff and landing, all done right:) Great feeling! Belsimtek- You nailed it! Awesome chopper, have so much fun flying it! So remember guys- most of You gonna need to play with axis settings. It's first sim I have to do that, but now it works just right!
  7. Damn. After many years of flying various sims I thought I am ready for Huey. Man I was wrong. It dances around, I am starting to suspect my joystick needs to get replacement. Moving it by few mm looks like a few cm in the game (looking at ingame cyclic visual movement, and helicopters behaviour).
  8. Bought it. Waiting to complete dl!
  9. Autoupdate means downloading smaller file that whole 124 installation, right? I know download time will be greater, but I am wondering about file size at this moment.
  10. Does auto update work? I don't want do download whole installation again, just the update...
  11. You kidding me? Of course I remember! I have so many flight hours in that game:D That product shows we really need trees collision in DCS...
  12. I'm just going to live it here:
  13. How can we talk about retail price going up if the game is not released yet? We are preordering, retail price is still unknown, isn't it?
  14. Like I said before- if so, it's really uncommon for the preorder to be more expensive than retail. For me it looks like we are paying extra for beta access actually. This is going to be my first module for DCS (it's great sim, but I am not into fixed wings aircrafts, and Black Shark also wasn't my thing). It is going to be a test- if this module won't deliver what I expect to get for 50$ (I don't care if the price goes down 40$ at retail- I payed 50$, that's it) this is going to be last module I buy for DCS for sure.
  15. It's same physics, but with xml lookup table parameters modified. Makes a huge difference if You ask me. Fred is the man!
  16. Thanks for the update. Now I start to understand why Take on Helicopters doesn't use RL models...
  17. Dammit I just want arma 3 and this to be released, I can die in peace when it happens. Now both get delayed and both developers are all silent. WHY, OH WHY ;)
  18. It's always the best option to keep in touch with community. Otherwise people will get angry for both delay AND silence. I for one don't mind this delay, had been waiting for a decent Huey sim for ages, so just make it happen whenever You can and You have my money. Thanks.
  19. Problem here is- Christmas is closing and people here are gonna spend money on presents. We'd like to know if we should wait for this module to be one of them, or spend money somwhere else.
  20. Thats awesome news! Thanks for update, gonna preorder as soon as it's avaliable!
  21. It's a matter of personal preferences. There is an Apache simulator coming and it's going to include Chinook. Still gonna pass on that, assault helicopters are not my thing, Chinook doesn't interest me as well. You can sling load in fsx, you can make realistic autorotation, and software allows to accumulate engine and frame wear. And at the end of the day you can just fly around Ketchikan and enjoy view. Yes, I can imagine playing with whole computers /radars /rockets can be fun, I have watched hours of gameplay to convince myself into getting bs, but it doesn't work for me.
  22. Well one of the reasons I fly helicopters in simulators is the challenge that comes with them. Don't get me wrong here, but airplanes are kind of boring to fly for me compared to choppers which demand constant corrections with controls. Bs just doesn't make me excited. If I like huey enough I'll get bs just to support ed, just like I did with bohemias products so far.
  23. I have no doubt bs is top notch sim, and that's why it'd be fun to play, but it just doesn't seem to be as much demanding as let's say dodo 206. Of course I'm not talking about all the systems, as bs is modern military helicopter and is very sophisticated in that area. On top of that there is no demo version of bs, and i am not buying it just to give it a try (have enough fun with fsx and helicopter total realism mod by Fred Naar). Can't wait to fly along everyone with uh-1 though!
  24. Bohemia is known for this. Still I bought all of their products, however arma 3 will be first installment I'm gonna pass, because they're likely to abandom toh improvements regarding helicopter physics contrary to what they announced as one of new features. I'd still recommend toh as helicopter introduction for future uh-1 pilots.
  25. Make sure you have no dead zones in axis setup, and all axis are linear. Install latest updates and enjoy flying light heli (its modeled after rl counterpart, but still its fictional airframe). I enjoyed toh a lot, especially practicing autorotation. I have never flown rl helikopter, nor have I tried black shark (twin rotor assault choppers are just not my thing at all), but according to some rl pilots light models physics can be considered realistic even if they lack vortex ring simulation (was supposed to be added with latest patch, never got introduced though). All in all I'd recommend it over bs for pre uh1 training. Of course get dodo 206 for fsx if you can, but still toh models classic airframe which introduces torque induced yaw etc and will make you learn to react for blade pitch changes with anti torque rudders. Btw toh has much better graphics than dcs. Just load arma maps into toh and enjoy the best ground visual level ever available for a helicopter simulation.
