  1. I know, I know. The problem is not Baur, but me. I´m temporarily living in France, so what I´m fearing is the french customs bureocracy. I know how this things works in Spain, my country, but I have no idea how they work in France. I don´t know if I have to pick them up in a custom office, how they communicate, how are they cleared, etc...
  2. Gents, thanks a lot. I think I´m almost decided between crosswind and VKB. Baur looks really good, and I love the idea of it´s builder, but I don´t speak french well, this is not my country and a slight problem in the customs process would be a pia for me. The other options, specially komodo or slaw are far more expensive, so they are discarded from the begining. So finally, the only thing to decide is "to brake or not to brake, that is the question".
  3. Confirmed. This line does the trick
  4. I know that there are many question about the same topic, but the truth is that now that I´m planning to get some decent pedals to substitute the G940 set, I have several questions not easy to solve by just searching. So here I go. My requirements are the following: - good quality, but not killingly expensive. - suitable for all kinds of aircraft, but mainly for helicopters. - no problems on being sent to France, were I actually live, including no tax/import burocracy. - No long delays in reception. My main candidates are three: MGF Crosswind, VKB T-Rudder and BRD-F3. And my specific questions are the following: - I understand Crosswind and VKB are within EU, so the price that I pay means no import fees. Can someone confirm it? - What about Baur BRD? is the price including the import fees and administration or I will have to take care of this? - Helicopter feeling. I understand that the three of them are self centering, more or less, which is not realistic for an helo, but not a gamestopper. But, what about the center? Which one is more precise or suitable for helicopters? - Delays: MGF states to be delivered at the end of november, now, which is acceptable. But, what about the other two? VKB says in their page that they have stock, so I assume inmediate delibery, and no clue about Baur. My preferences now are crosswind, baur and VKB, for that order, as Baur is not much cheaper than crosswind, but importation problems in a country (France) that I don´t know well scares me. And lastly, VKB is the most helicopter looking and the cheapest of the three, but it has no brakes for aircrafts. Any othe sugestion, comment or any othe model that I should take into account? thanks!
  5. That´s an interesting topic. In my point of view, ABRIS is limited in this regard. I think ABRIS is a generic flight computer, not integrated with the ka-50 systems, so the fuel calculations are rough, in the best case. A while ago, I was interested in knowing what were the best speeds for low consumption, so I did something similar to OneStooge proposal, albeit far less detailed. I was interested only in relative consuptions, not in absolute ones, so I was assuming that any change in payload, atmospheric data, etc.. will affect all speeds equally, sort of. This was my conclusion, if someone can use it. Sorry, it´s in spanish, but I hope the values are more or less self explanatory. Curiosly enoug, the consumption per km was more or less equal from 150 to maximum speed so, according to this, if you are far from base and running out of fuel, run!
  6. I already answered you in the other post, although I agree this is a better place.
  7. I'd love te have a Huey cockpit plan! If you send me or publish pictures of the cockpit with measures I can easily do a 3D model in sketch up, although I'm afraid this cannot be used directly for a cnc. In any case, it would be a matter of transforming the file, as the work would be done. In any case, if you don't mind, I'd like to also include in the measurements the size of the seat, and the distances between it and the IP, pedals, etc...
  8. great, great mod! Thanks a lot for your work. whould it be difficult to extend the viewer to all units? I mean, it whould be very useful also to be able to see the model of vehicles, structures, etc.. when you are placing them in the ME. Some of them are not very clear what they are, until you don´t see them on the terrain, at least for me.
  9. Hello fellow pilots! I´m an avid reader of this forum, although not a writer, possibly because english is not my native languaje. Nevertheless, I´m starting to advance in the construction in my cockpit, and I need help, so.... here I am! One of the things that I want to improve is my joystick. I have a g940 and as I love FFB I have no intention of changing it, but I have some ideas for making it better. In any case, my first question is about joystick extension. I currently have the joystick in the chair, between my legs, and the distance of the chair (and me) to the screen is limited by the travel of the joystick, wich is slightly enlarged. I have the intention of putting the joystick base on the floor, and then enlarging it much more, like 40/50 cm. But then, the trip of the joystick handle will be greatly increased, and it will simply not fit between my legs or in the aforementioned space with the screen. The solution is simple, I guess, and is to limit in the base the possible travel of the joystick. It´s the only one I can imagine. And this is my question. If I limit the travel of the joystick, can I mark that limit by software? I guess that using curves it whould be possible. Whould I lose accuracy in the joystick virtual movement or the hall sensor is precise enough? Any showstopper that you can imagine?
  10. Hi, Raceguy. First of all, congratulations for your pit. It´s very impressive, really. Secondly, I can confirm that I can see the pictures. I think I´ve heard somewhere that photobucket can do such things from time to time, but I cannot recall the reason. Maybe something related to the number of people accessing the pictures?
  11. same problem here, let´s hope it´s solved or someone founds a way of bypassing this, because with my monitor configuration (PLP) I cannot manage the program.
  12. As speckfire, sorry If it's been asked before. I know that trees in the Black Sea will remain unchanged but, will the new trees be available as objects for creating a landing zone, for example?
  13. another great job, Chuck! Lot´s of condensed information. Great!
  14. Zeen, I promise not to spread this mistake out.....maybe ;) Now serious, the work you´re doing is outstanding and we will never thank you enough!
  15. Thank you for the solution either! I just changed a monitor and this problem popped up. Now it´s solved. Just one question, does anybody know how to recover the lost activation? Curiously enough, I only remember being activated once, when I purchased it, but now I have only 7 left.
  16. Thanks, I know:thumbup:. To be honest, I knew the fix for the Ka-50, as I've not flown the hog yet. Nevertheless, you may agree that it's better if it's fixed by ED in world. That should assure compatibility with all modules, I hope.
  17. Great! As far as I know, that is the only big problem with nvidia 3d. The problem with the cursor is not so important.
  18. One easy question, can we expect that the World 3d development needed for the rift to work may also increase the 3d quality of world with Nvidia 3d? It would be great, for those of us that already play in 3d. Apologies if this has been treated in the post already, but I have not the strength not to read the 150 pages.
