Did you know if is possible with the new engine to make the visor useful ? Like switching off HDR when visor enabled ? PS : The blue one is impressive

I don't care about when is going to be implemented, knowing that someday I'm going to have the model in cockpit is enough for me..

Where are we going to have a pilot model inside cockpit ? Maybe if you make one for the tomcat you can adapt it to the Mig ?
  4. I'm missing IR Jammer implementation..
  5. By default there is a track ir axis missing in FC3 planes, simply check how the axis are configured in the hardcore modules and add the missing axis for trackir..
  6. I have tried with traffic Off and I get 15 fps more, but the problem is not only related to traffic, try to add two units doing a ramp start near you.. at the moment they start their engines, you get a similar fps loss.. and the same with mirrors, with they enabled, I get another similar fps loss ( even when not looking at it ).. All these things are lowing the performance, which is natural for one side, the real problem is that dcs is not making use of our system hardware, if you monitor your cpu cores load, and your gpu load you can see that even with low fps.. none of the cores is working hard, and the same for gpu..
  7. I am looking for the cause of the stutters or bad framerate, and for now I think that the problem isn't for the Mig-21. Make a mission in the editor with only your plane in the airbase, startup and taxi and probably you are going to get the same fps than while fliying.. Later add another IA plane and take a look at what happen.. In my case, in Nalchik, every time another plane start up my fps fall from 60 to 45, and that framerate stays until that plane take off.. If I add more planes I get even lower fps.. The curious thing is that in the moment they take off the framerate loss disappear.. I have tried with the Mig 21 and another planes and it happen with all.. so seems that is not related with the Mig.. Edit : The same with Helicopters.. a pair of Mi-8 hovering at 5 meters AGL in near my plane 60 fps.. if they're taxiing or with engines running while in the ground.. 30-35-40 fps..
  8. Shouldn't because usually they're limited by the GPU, but in this case neither the CPU or GPU are working at full, and we are getting low fps in missions with a lot of IA units ( that's the moment when I expect the CPU working hard ). And I'm running in a newly installed O.S with only drivers and DCS installed..
  9. Play the firsts missions of the A-10 campaign and return here to report  It doesn't matter about the CPU/GPU clock because it isn't using the CPU thread at full.. when you're doing a free roam with low AI units in the map can be wonderful.. but when doing a mission with a lot of AI units the performance fall drastically and at least I expect a better usage of my computer resources.. If DCS only uses one thread of the processor I want that thread working at full and not at 40 % while I'm getting 40 fps and my GPU is touching his balls..
  10. You are suffering the same problem related on this topic = http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147757 Put the same resolution in windows that you have put in the sim
  11. That's what I am getting.. 50 % of the Cpu used core load and 60-70 % Gpu load.. obviously not all the time.. if I run for example a free flight quick mission I can get a 100 % Gpu load if I not limit the fps.. but that is at more than 120 fps.. If somebody from ED can talk us about how the engine works in that topic, if that behavior is normal and if it is going to improve in the future I will be very grateful with them.
  12. Hi Bit, The data in the screenshots is obtained from Msi Afterburner, but in my case my 4th Core ( My i5 didn't have Hyperthreading ) never goes above 65-70 %.. I have tried to give priority to the dcs process ( In Prepar3d V2 this works ) without success.. I also get framerates above 100 fps flying in missions with few IA units ( usually the 120 limited by the graphics.lua ) but in more complex missions the performance fall apart.. and that's why I'm trying to find a fix to this.. I want to get a 100 % cpu core or a 100 % gpu when fps aren't limited. Hi mate, Every graphic engine ( at least the vast parts I find in my gaming life ) when the fps are unlimited should run the Cpu and Gpu at 100 % in order to get the max fps possible. If the Cpu is used at 100 % , it limits the gpu, so in that case we get a 80 % gpu usage for example.. If on the contrary the Gpu is working at 100 % and the Cpu can't make more calculations because the bottleneck is in the Gpu then the Cpu can't go at 100 %. I didn't have any stutter problem or tearing, and I have the fps limited at 60 fps.. but in some missions I am not getting 60 fps and neither my Cpu or Gpu are working at full.. so something wrong is here.. It can be also memory bandwich or vram.. I need to check these ones too
  13. While getting a great performance in 1.5 beta versus the old engine, I'm trying to understand why if my Cpu or Gpu aren't working at 100 % I didn't get more fps.. Maybe something is limiting the Cpu to work at 100 % ( In the thread used by DCS ). My computer specs are = I5 2500K @ 4.2 Ghz, 980 Ti gpu, 16 GB ram, ssd.. And in these pics I am not using any fps limiter, vertical sync etc.. Here is the dropbox link in order to view correctly the data and more pics = https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hqgr6n6wr07ni9r/AACmFyqPnYF1Be-4feHzQCkza?dl=0 Regards and thanks in advance
  14. Actually I'm trying to find why the fps aren't limited by gpu or cpu load, think that I'm going to make a new thread to try to get a response from an ED programmer. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hqgr6n6wr07ni9r/AACmFyqPnYF1Be-4feHzQCkza?dl=0
  15. In my computer, also with Win 10 Pro it only uses two cores ( as stated by ED, one for sound and the other for the rest ) and I never seen the main one using more of 60 %.. What are your performance ? Is good ?
  16. No need to investigate more Nicholas, I found the "issue". I was trying all the planes and checking the fps in the same point, and you have reason, the P-51 gets the same fps than the Mig.. So I thought.. why is that plane getting that weird framerate if it comes from ED and their other modules run great ? And checking the screenshots I found the mirror.. So I uncheck the mirrors option in the menu and run the same mission with the Mig.. and I get a 40 % more framerate this time.. Seems that some modules like the Mig, the Mi-8 and the P-51 uses high resolution mirrors.. or the same we have configured for the screen.. and because that we get such big impact in framerate.. is there any way to config the mirror resolution ? Would be great to find one that works well with my system.. PS : Even without the mirrors, the Mig gets a 20 % less fps than the major part of the modules, but I can accept that considering the realistic look you have achieved with that cockpit. It only lacks a pilot body, hope you add it in the future..
  17. Hi Cobra, Glad to see you here. In my case, I was getting very good fps with the Mig with 1.5, in fact, I'll fly it at more than 100 fps at 4k with everything at max. But in some cases like the one in the pics I get low fps and as you can see the cpu and the gpu aren't working at full capacity. I can send you the mission file to test by yourself and compare with another aircraft.
  18. The problem isn't that it performs worse than other modules, is that for some strange reason I'm getting low fps while my computer is touching his eggs  I have tested the Mig-21 the past week and I was getting 110 fps while flying when I was getting 120 fps in other modules.. After I limit the fps to 60 in the config.lua, and usually I have that 60 fps flying with the Mig, but for some strange reason, sometimes the fps fall while my cpu and gpu aren't working at 100 %
  19. The problem can also be from the DCS engine that isn't capable to use all the available resources of the cpu.. and it simply happen with the Mig because is the more demanding aircraft.. I find that disabling shadows the fps rise a lot in that exact place ( Sochi runway facing sea ), maybe the shadows are cpu rendered ? Why in that case dcs not uses at 100 % one of the cpu cores ? Hope that somebody of the LN team comes here and try to explain that behavior..
  20. I have take a couple of pics in order to show my problem. The problem as you can see is that the framerate is weird (30,4 fps) and neither the cpu (afaik dcs only uses cores 3 and 4 ) or the gpu are used at 100 %.
  21. I5 2500k @ 4.2 Ghz, 16 GB dd3 1600 Mhz.. ssd.. It's not my computer, because is not running at maximum..
  22. I have a 980 Ti and have the same problems than the OP.. something is wrong with the Mig because I get fps drops and when checking gpu usage it is at 60 %, the same with the processor not running at 100 %.. and is the only aircraft with such problems..
  23. I think it happens to all of us, so surely it is going to be solved soon
  24. Thanks for the info, this night I'll try it myself
  25. What about the unavailability to choose to be a wingman in the Mig ? Is something related to you or to ED ? ( That's one of the best things for me in the 1.5 ) PS = Delaymeister.. good to take it with humor.. :megalol:
