  1. It was not perfect, but better than it is now. If that drag sound covers the sound of the turbines, why does this not happen with other DCS aircraft? And I have them all....

    Mig-21 Sound busted

Great, I'm glad you agree. Hopefully the devs will do something about it.
  3. Not a drama, but why change things wich were perfectly ok before?
  4. So why is it no so in ALL other DCS planes?
  5. YES, most probably you are the only who thinks it's okay... Do you find correct that he turbine sound INEXPLICABLY gets quieter with more throttle / speed?
  6. Hello btd, thank you for your reply. I have nothing against new sounds / closer to the real sound, as long as they are better... But a turbine sound wich INEXPLICABLY gets quieter with more throttle / speed??? You write that I can can always keep the sounds from the old versions... Well, would you be so kind to tell me how I d can do that? The sounds of the A-10C are scattered in many folders, /Mods /Sounds / etc....

    Mig-21 Sound busted

It is not the sampling, the external sound is far too quiet compared with the internal sound. With any sound setting....
  8. If only it would be so easy! The two files responsible for the annoying, far too loud, rumble noise are these: A10InHeAmbL.wav A10InHeAmbR.wav Found in \Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines. I just reduced the volume of these with a wave editor, so that's fixed. But the biggest problem is tat of the turbine sound wich INEXPLICABLY gets quieter with more throttle / speed. The sound of the A-10 has been good for literally YEARS now. ED why are you making it much worse now?
  9. Just updated to STABLE DCS version 2.5.4.30386 This issue is STILL not fixed. Is it really so difficult? Was perfectly OK in 2.5.3

    Mig-21 Sound busted

Just updated to STABLE version 2.5.4.30386 Internal sound is now OK, but from the outside, the MIG 21 sounds like a Boeing 787.... And yes at any sound level / setting.
  12. Indeed by no means a solution.....
  13. Very interesting and pertinent question. Completely agree.
  14. Even having time as I do this function is overdue. 99% of the simulations and games out there have it.
  15. 1809 here, no problems at all.
  16. Definitely NOT buying fictional maps. Absurd, in a realistic simulation which is DCS.
  17. And here another one... Using F-18, A-10C, Mirage, all the WWII's, MIG-21, Sabre in this order. Catching dust: MIG-15, 4 helos, Viggen, C-101, L-39, F-5, SU-25 A, SU-27,F-15. Gladly, I see that slowly but steadily the devs and ED put the money to good use.
  18. Again, I agree completely. But for me the main problem remains Its stuttering that takes away completely the flying experience, and this does not happen, I repeat: DOES NOT HAPPEN in any of the other 3 maps. Solid 60 FPS there with my state of the art rig.
  19. I get this sometimes, but inside the cockpit. The textures missing are the frame of the mirror. A quick restart of DCS solves this too, but annoying anyway.
  20. Agree completely. Same here indeed. The worst map in DCS by a long shot. Its stuttering takes away completely the flying experience, and this does not happen, I repeat: DOES NOT HAPPEN in any of the other 3 maps.
  21. Thanks, but I am on the DCS stable version.
  22. DCS crash to desktop when using F-18 CBU's DCS crash to desktop when using F-18 CBU's. Has happened in the training mission and with a miz of my own. ED, Please advise. LOG included dcs.log-20190424-155634 (2).zip
  23. Thanks, And: 14. Current lack of period German bombers
  24. All this developments are great, but very diminished if the stuttering of Normandy (and Normandy only) is not corrected.
  25. Yes, the winter textures would be nice, but the main thing is the stuttering...
