MaxFPS is useless, it does not limit to the specified FPS, but rather to a lower random one... But setting a lower refresh rate on your monitor in Nvidia CP, does. Ater literally DAYS of testing 50 FPS, I'm very happy with it, with most planes, not the Harrier. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216729&page=2

No interest in Super Cubs here. Let ED and the other developers work on finish the available planes and clear the many bugs....
-
Alright, let's hope this issues will be fixed soon. It used to be OK in older versions, e.g. DCS 1.5, 2.0.....

Have a look at the excellent suggestion by DflippinK, it works very nicely....

No problems here, try this settings: ["aileronTrim"] = -30, ["assistance"] = 0, ["autoRudder"] = false, ["cameraOrigin"] = 1, ["rudderTrim"] = -10,

Ah.. I see... No problems here, try this settings: ["aileronTrim"] = -30, ["assistance"] = 0, ["autoRudder"] = false, ["cameraOrigin"] = 1, ["rudderTrim"] = -10,

Yes, that might be, thanks, but what about the liveries dialog disappearing each time you close and restart the program or click in the main window? Load Model > View > Dialogs > Liveries Dialog > Scale and move the window, which pops up small in the middle EACH TIME you close and restart the program. It used to be OK in older versions, e.g. DCS 1.5, 2.0. Starting the program the liveries dialog would be left out of the way of the main window, and the settings of the program were saved. Now each time it resets to default or something like that. And by the way none of the keyboard shortcuts is correct.

Hello DflippinK, THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED FOR YOUR EXCELLENT SUGGESTION!!!!! In my ignorance, I thought it was only possible to have the monitor running at full 60 HZ or half (30 HZ) refresh rate, and that another refresh rate (e.g. 50 HZ) was not possible. Well, after setting the refresh rate of my monitor to 50 HZ, I had to fiddle the settings a bit down in order to allow my rig to keep up with 50 FPS, but now, after the best part of the afternoon spent testing, it seems that ALL TERRAINS and ALL PLANES hold a CONSTANT AND STABLE 50 FPS, ELIMINATING almost completely the dreaded stutters! Thanks again!:)

Hi Reflected, are you talking with me? See my signature, of course I have pedals and hotas, although arguably not the best ones. My point was mainly the too easy P-51 and german planes in the last DCS versions. I will eventually master the Spit, not least thank to your excellent tutorials...

"banana-peel-tyres" bug ?
-
Well, I am referring to takeoffs and landings. In my opinion those are not just a tad easier with the Mustang, but A LOT easier., and quite a bit easier with the BF-109 and the Dora. I remember back in the day (DCS 1.5 - 2.0) scratching wings on landing with the germans, and stalling on takeoff, P-51 being mostly OK with 3-point landings. Sure, I realize that I had much more practice with those, because they came YEARS before the Spit, but again, I believe that in the later DCS (2.5.xx) versions they made especially the german planes "too easy", leaving the spit realistic as it should be.
-
Well, thanks for your post, I am relieved that I'm not the only one with this feeling. Though the more I fly all 4 birds, the more I think that in the later versions they made especially the german planes far easier, leaving the spit difficult as it should be.
-
Totally agree.

GTX 1070 is awesome for DCS World 2.0

Hmmm some time ago I remember seeing somewhere tests comparing M2 SSD vs. SATA SSD's and there was little or no difference in loading times or responsiveness in games.. -
There you are... Why is it so difficult to block the sim @30 or 60 FPS?
-
I just have the "feeling" that in the later versions (I am running 2.5.2 release) they made especially the german planes easier, leaving the spit difficult as it should be. But it might be that I had much more practice with those, because they came way before the Spit and I've been practising with them for a far longer time than the spit..
-
So you don't find that the P-51 is way easier (too easy) than the spit... OK....

Nice testing, but what do you think about STUTTERS? I am pretty sure after days of testing, that the main reason for stutters is that some situations / terrains jump from 20 to 50 FPS or more all the time. Either 30 or if possible 60 stable and constant, only this guarantees fluidity. (for a 60 Hertz monitor). Anything else than 30 or 60 stutters like crazy with my setup. 120 is not reachable, but I guess a stable 120 would be pretty fluid too. No way to fly in Nevada or Normandy, (Stutters due to jump from 20 to 50 FPS or more all the time) Caucasus and PG are most of the time OK, with eitner 30 or 60 FPS STABLE.
-
So you don't think either is the Spit too difficult or the P-51D, BF-109 and FW-190 Dora too easy? Obviously all with 0 take off assistance.

OK, You are in luck in this case. Anything else than 30 or 60 stutters like crazy with my setup. 120 is not reachable. No way to fly in Nevada or Normandy, Caucasus and PG are most of the time OK.

I realize that. Are you suggesting that what I posted does not apply to both VR and Monitors?
-
Everybody speaks about higher FPS, but what about the most important thing, fluid fly without stutters? I am pretty sure after days of testing, that the main reason for stutters is that some situations / terrains jump from 20 to 50 FPS or more all the time. Either 30 or if possible 60 stable and constant, only this guarantees fluidity. (for a 60 Hertz monitor). https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216729

No offense here, and of course I unsubscribed from this thread, but it keeps popping up in the "new posts" which I look every day. DCS runs on a windows PC, period.

Forgot the settings...
