Getting constant crashes in latest beta, no issues in normal DCSW. Bump for this, does anyone know if a graphics card change will trigger a reactivation? Also, does the deactivation have to be done on both the 'normal' DCS install modules AND the ones in 1.5 beta?

What are your computer specs now? You don't 'need' a 290X if you are not looking for high settings, and especially if the rest of your system is not up to it (eg PSU). The '2GB' you are referring to is graphics card ram. System ram is different, 8GB is supposed to be the minimum for 1.5/edge

Timely thread! My 670 still works well in games, but I too was thinking about either the 970 or 390. The 390 is a little power hungry though I think, and can run hot. Great card for the price though, with 8gb vram.

True! I started with the MiG 15 as well, the closest to what I was used to. The -21 is a bit more complicated though!

I think I would be about the same level as you Chimango! After flying il2 for a decade, the MiG-21 is on a whole new scale! The workload is huge, I concentrate on one thing and something else quickly goes wrong :megalol: I'm taking it very slowly,and going nowhere near online servers for a while yet. :music_whistling:

I had a problem on reinstall of DCSW with my MiG 15 module. Had a completely blank control file. A reinstall of the module didn't fix it, a DCSW repair using the command prompt did.

check the wiring while you are in there. I think sometimes a broken wire on the Saiteks is the cause of the toe brake not working.

Replaced is rather worrying. I hope it is in addition to the existing system rather than just 'replaced'...

IIRC a lot will depend on your graphics card with 1.5/2.0 so depending on what you have I would wait and see how that works first.

I would definitely be voting 'zero' I love DCS, just have very little time, and keep flying around in different modules. Really I should just pick one and learn it. I am thinking of doing that with the Mirage.

I have had the CH Fighterstick and CH pedals for about ten years, still work like new and never a problem with them.

Not for a few months, I did move my install to a different partition on the same ssd but that didn't seem to be a problem.

I'm so glad you posted that, as I thought it was! Be so much easier to have a deactivate button in the module manager. I'm changing my ram soon to 16gb, do I have to deactivate all my modules for that?

My GTX670 is still working fine for DCS. If it struggles with 2.0, then I will upgrade to a 970 or similar. OP I think you will struggle with your 6850 1gb card.

I see recommended specs state 16gb of ram. Does that mean 2.0 will use over 8gb in missions?
