  1. Inf I think I know the video you are you referring to - They combined footage from Battlefield (or CoD, or some FPS) for that. There is no Infantry aspect. If you want a good "Crunchy" experience, try ArmA2 or 3 (I prefer 2 since it's more contemporary). You'll never hear a real-world 11B (Infantryman) admit it, but their job is pretty basic in major ground operations with a lot of fast-moving machinery all around, and just the sheer size of the DCS world is pretty prohibitive. You can try seeing if he's into RTS games and set him up with a mission covering a small piece of terrain. TBH, I'm not sure if you can mount/dismount crunchies from Bradley's, Strykers, or other IFV's.
  2. I had the same issue - I went in and looked at my Axis Commands - it had View Controls set to the Mouse, TrackIR, and Headtracker (a remnant of Facetrack NoIR that I need to get taken care of).
  3. Small bug I got through the first mission, but I waited for a long time after he gave me the, "Let's check your shutdown" speech and he never got back with me. I realize that this may be how Officers behave IRL, but that's a bit unneccesarry here. :megalol: Not gonna' lie though, overall, I'm having the time of my life with this. :joystick: :pilotfly: By chance, are the names listed in the AAR's the names of the people who made this campaign a reality?
  4. Eagle Dynamics actually does get a cut of this. Now yes, there are Videos and PDF files out there, but this is the first thing I've come across that really gets you into the nuts and bolts of the aircraft while actually doing it yourself. It costs less than the Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte with Pumpkin Bread that I sit here nursing, and all in all, it is a good product. Look at the Microsoft FSX Wold. I have literally hundreds of dollars sunk into that. $30 a piece for Apache, Chinook, C-17, the MD-88 I fly for Delta Virtual Airlines, the two different HH-60 PAVE Hawks I fly for the Virtual USAF, then there's the REX, GEX, FEX, UTX, GSX, etc. etc. Add-on after add-on. Some of these cost around $50, believe it or not. Now with DCS, I might not get the entire world to fly in, but I get a TON of stuff to do. And a guy comes out with a great Academy type thing that's only $5? That's a steal if you ask me. If he made the same product for FSX, X-Plane, or Prepar3d, he's be sitting on an at least $30 product. (plus the cost of getting an A-10 addon from Milviz or one of the other myriad 3rd party vendors).
  5. heeeehehehehehehee.... Loving it so far!!! Narrator kinda' rushed me through startup, but that's alright, some of it's stuff you never really get to play with anyway. I did fail for not turning of my TACAN on shutdown though, even though I taxied perfectly. Kinda reminds me of the time in real-life (way back when I was a tanker 9 years ago) when I a NOGO on the M240 station because I disassembled it before clearing it >.< It might seem like an extraneous detail to some, but attention to detail is everything! Outstanding work! I like the Mission Cards too, that's clever. I am impressed!
  6. Wow! Mere minutes after I sent an email I got a response, and at 2200hrs! You guys kick @$$!
  7. Any chance of automating the purchase process? I'd really like to start flying these missions now >.<
  8. I figured it out. It had to do with Easy Monitor Configurator. I went in my setting and went from using my EMC to 1 Monitor and it's just fine now.
  9. There are Apache games maybe, but I wouldn't really call most of them Sims. I'd love to see DCS do a full-on add for this, especially since it's so heavily used in the era that this game covers.
  10. My heart blur is showing instead as translucent black cones on all models that have it. I've tried changing ever setting I can think of, is there something I'm missing?
  11. Which is accurate to real-life tanking. (I used to be one). The command would go something like, (assuming battle-carry HEAT) TC: "Gunner, Tanks, Fire, Fire Sabot" Gunner: "Identified" Loader: "UP!" (He still has to pull up the arming handle even though there's a round in the breech) TC: Fire! Gunner: On the way! *BOOM*Lost! TC: Target! Loader: Places Sabot in the tube "Sabot UP!" TC: Fire! Gunner: On the way! *BOOM* Target, target. TC: Cease Fire, Driver, continue to bound...driver...driver...wake the **** up Driver... Driver: Huh? I'm awake, I'm awake! TC: ****in' drivers...you *****rds are always sleeping...
  12. Sorry it's been a while! Alright, since I last posted, I've managed to get the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, a pair of MFC"D"s, some off-the-shelf pedals, plus the Leo Bodnar card that I've added a few switches to. A USBServo card arrived today from opencockpits.com, but now I am stumped as to what to do with it. I've got 2 servos and I am not having any luck trying to find the instructions to make this blasted thing work. Any threads on here centered around SIOC?
  13. Heck yeah! Let me know if you plan on making some more, and how much you're asking for.
  14. So, I've got this, it's working, but I'm having a hard time tweaking the curves so my face doesn't go flying all over the cockpit. Anyone got any example settings that they used? I'll keep experimenting and if I come up with a good solution, I'll post it, but I'd like to hear from some of you that have it as well.
