Well, I didn't play lock on for a long time because of my slow machine. I just bought a shiny new rig, and here is this shadow issue that ruins it for me. I tried several drivers including the newest, but no fix so far. How old is this full shadow issue? 8-9 months?

I don't know if the Albanian Air Force still flies them or not, but there are some single seater and more two seat versions in the US that still fly to this day. They are privately owned though. The model looks great, best I have seen here so far.

So, is it any good?

I don't understand what is so unbelievable in an airplane flying a couple of feet off the ground. Ok, it is not usual on airshows nowadays. It is a great thing to see, indeed. What makes me angry is people tend to think that the lower the pilot goes the better he is. And what makes me mad is when the pilot itself thinks the same. There were so many who thought they could fly lower than others and eventually killed themselves. These russian pilots always push their limits on airshows and why? Well, I'm sure, if an ordinary russian air force pilot did something like this, would never fly again. These guys, who fly around the world and do these displays, fly much more than the ordinary guy in the russian air force. In a way, they are the ones who do the commercials and have to sell the damn thing, so their superiors let them do a little show off. They do fly impressive and amazing demos, but somehow that's the reason why they crashed on airshows in the 90s I don't know howmany times. It wasn't just bad luck, or was it?

It's gotta be the cable box for the little TV. You can even see the coax cables there.

Well, I read how to install both versions, 1.02 and 1.1 on the same computer, but I couldn't make it work yet. First you have to uninstall FC. At least, I haven't seen anything about installing 1.02 after you installed FC on your computer. Install 1.0 and patch it to 1.02. Copy 1.02 to a different folder, then install FC over the original 1.02 install. I have done this, but there is something about lockon.bat files that you have to locate in both versions' folders and make shortcuts of them with different names like FC and 1.02. This is where I get into trouble. I can not find a lockon.bat file in the 1.02 lock on folder, so when I try to run it I get a runtime error message. FC works fine, though. There is a lockon.bat file in the FC lock on folder, but that one starts FC. Maybe it needs to be copied and renamed to 1.02. Should I try that?

I'm trying to have a 1.02 install and a FC install on my computer, so I can play both versions, but I can't figure out how. I installed 1.0 first, patched it to 1.02, copied it to another folder then installed FC on the original 1.02 installation. FC runs ok, but when I try to run 1.02 I get a runtime error message. Does anybody know where I messed this up?

I bought it on amazon about two weeks ago for 28 bucks.

It is enabled and works ok. When it comes to editing tracks, the mouse dies.

Hey guys, when I try to edit a track file the mouse stops functioning in external views. Is this a known issue or just something with my system?

That thing always bothered me too. Deploying airbrakes is supposed to feel like as if an imaginery hand smashed the airplane in the nose. In lock on the airplanes fly like gliders with or without airbrakes.

I don't know what caused the add-ons not to show up, but reinstalling Modman solved the problem. The first add-ons I tried were made for 1.02 and by not showing up made me think they don't work in 1.1, and that's why I asked about the afterburner texture. Trying 1.1 add-ons did not work either, so I went out, had a couple of beers, came back, reinstalled Modman. Everything works, skins, afterburner etc....

Thanks buddy, I'll try that:) There is something else. Add-ons that I install with modman don't work at all. I tried some skins and texture mods but nothing showed up in the game. The add-ons I tried were supposed to work with FC. I'm also looking for a nice afterburner texture, something like oxyd's blue and orange AF texture in 1.02, but I haven't found anything that good for 1.1 yet.

It's a bit off, but is it possible to have a 1.02 install and a seperate Flaming cliffs install on my computer?

The mobo is pci-express. I just looked around a bit. Yep, that's right the 7900 starts from 300 bucks. 7800gt starts from $269. 6800gt from $169. X800 is the less expensive. They start from 130 bukcs. hmmmm.........Is there a big difference in gameplay between the 7800 and the 6800?

What would you buy?

Thomas, I have been trying to register for 3 days now. After registration it usually takes about 12-14 hours until I get the confirmation email. When I go to the link I get an error message that says there is no user with this info. In the email it is said that I have 2-4 hours for visiting the link after recieving the email. The problem is that it takes 12 hours to get the email and that's the middle of the night here, so by the time I wake up it is too late. However, I'm getting close. Today I was late only by 45 minutes. Should I keep trying? I don't know what's wrong maybe my email addresses suck.
