You can always install modules manually as well: In Windows, select "Run" and then type CMD Move to the dcs\bin folder and type: DCS_updater.exe install BF-109K4 When you launch DCS and the K4 you will be prompted to enter the key. (In case you weren't around when using the good old DOS commands, you type CD and the folder name to change folders. CD.. moves you to the root. Typing drive letter (D: E: F: etc) changes the current disc.) In this thread you will find a list of all module ID's: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2548018

The thing that really makes me proud as a Swede is that tiny Sweden could produce aircraft that at least could compete with what NATO and the Warzaw pact came up with. The J29, A/J32, J35 and the Viggen. Then there were the projects that were cancelled... B3LA, B3LM etc.

Normally I don't use any deadzones or curvatures for my Warthog but I had to add it for the F-5. It was extremely twitchy and moving my stick the slightest caused the plane to roll. Pitch axis was also very sensitive.

Like I said, I have no problems with it in the F-86. Problem occurs when the nosewheel acts like I am controlling it with button presses. Either full left, full right and it is almost impossible to straighten the path.

No more "skotta den $@£#% garageuppfarten" and to ignite when the neighbour insists on mowing his lawn when I just popped a cold one in the lawn chair...

I want this in DCS after the Viggen and J35:
-
Think I found the cause but I am not sure if it is a bug or a feature. The problem appears if you have the rudder pedal pressed either left or right when engaging NWS. Seems as if this makes the NWS system go haywire...
-
I don't have the same problem in the F-86 though...

Yes I have differential brakes mapped but this happens even if I am careful about not even touching the brakes. It can happen as I line up on the runway. Might be user error though. Wouldn't be the first time...
-
I am using MFG Crosswind v2 pedals (latest firmware) and I have exactly the same issue. It seems as if I enter some sort of "oscillations" where even minor rudder input makes the plane turn violently.
-
Glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling... I use rudder pedals but the nosewheel steering almost feels digital.

The only boats I only saw from the inside during my service were the noisy and diesel smelling 200-boats fitted with wooden benches. Many people thought that the fast disembarking during amphibious landings happened because we were well trained. The truth is that we couldn't get out of those tin cans fast enough to get some fresh air after the bumpy ride...

I agree. Then we could test Swedish cold war defense tactics against any potential invader coming from the sea. This is one of them, HMS Västervik, moored at Marinmuseum in Karlskrona. The sound they made (or make since HMS Ystad is operated by enthusiasts today) comes from the 3x Marine Proteus gas turbine engines. Each provding 4000+ HP...

The RBS-15 Mk III can be launched from ground vehicles as well... http://saab.com/region/saab-australia/land/weapon-systems2/surface-to-surface-missile-systems/rbs15_mk3_surface_to_surface_missile1/ Since there has been so many variants perhaps some clarification is in order: First version was RB-15 M1/M2 which was adopted on the Norrköping class vessels (former Spica II class torpedo boats). Then the airforce got their version RB-15F (which is the one we will see in DCS). Next Kustartilleriet (today the Amphibious Corps) got the RB-15 KA. There has also been some special export versions like the "SF" (for Finland) and "B" that was exported to former Yugoslavia. The Mk II variant was initially supplied to the Navy, and again to the Norrköping class vessels when they underwent a modernisation in the 1990's. The Mk III is ordered by the Swedish armed forces (and Germany if I'm not mistaken) and there is even a Mk IV I think. But the airforce is still using the 15F... Speaking of the Norrköping class vessels. They almost sounded like Viggens when "taking off"...

I heard another story about a J35 from F4 returning to base after having reported a bird strike. When the mechanics looked at the damages they found needles from a spruce tree so they confronted the pilot and questioned his bird strike report. He replied "So what? I can't help that the @$#o@#% bird was sitting in the top of a tree, can I?"

I was referring to the Tp84...

Nice video of Saab A32 Lansen's from F6 during low-level flying over the Baltic sea in 1975:
-
The problem is that he got filmed doing it... This is a picture of two Drakens from F10 doing a low-pass over some friends in a canoe... (aparently the canoe flipped over when the planes passed)

After updating to 1.5.4.54855.129 I can no longer hear the landing gear retracting/deploying and there is no "pneumatic sound" when I use the brakes. Anyone else experiencing the same?
-
Makes me remember a story from when I served in Kustartilleriet (today called the Amphibious Corps) in the early 1990's. A high ranking US officer from the Marine Corps was taken on a night ride in one of our combat vessels somewhere in the Swedish archipelago. Of course the boat driver did his best to impress... When they came ashore the US officer said to his Swedish collegue: "Very impressive! How many years did it take that boat driver to get THAT good?!?". The Swedish officer replied: "Yeärs? That böy is a cönscript. He's önly serving 15 mönths in tötäl...". [ame] [/ame]

The best of two worlds. Surströmming and Linie!

Which makes me think this is a bug for some of us more than a feature...
-
It does in some modules. Haven't tried all but it definatly controls the external view in the C-101. While it doesn't in the M-2000C like I mentioned above.
-
If this is a feature and not a bug, how come TiR is acting differently in different modules? In the M-2000C (just to mention one) it works just as it always has i.e. no TiR interference in external views. If it IS a feature and not a bug afterall, please make it optional. I hate it with a passion.
