Back in the 80's and early 90's the Swedish armed forces got away with a lot that would make headlines today. Not long ago people complained about JAS39's flying low and fast while on their way to intercept Russian Su's over Swedish waters outside Gotland. This made headlines about the outrageous behaviour of the Airforce... It was different back in the days... I know about an incident in the early 90's where a Viggen pilot flew low over a friends garden party. Unfortunatly he broke the sound barrier over a farm scaring two cows to death. The farmer called the Airforce a bit upset, but they paid for the cows and the incident never even reached the media. I know about another incident where a Viggen almost killed a group of part time soldiers from Hemvärnet (National Guard) when setting tree tops on fire while flying low over a forest where the soldiers had their camp. This never reached media either.

Agree! Also, make sure you have a free port on your motherboard that supports SATA 6 Gb/s or otherwise it is a bit of a waste of money. If you want to mount a 2.5" SSD in a 3.5" slot you need a mounting plate. I don't think the Samsung EVO comes with one.

LÅSNING/LOCKING is correct FÄLLNING/RELEASE is correct SÄKRINGSPINNE/SAFETY PIN is correct ARMERING/RECOKING seems strange... ARMERING means arming which is correct but RECOKING? The only word I can think could fit is re-cocking/recocking which is when you cock a firearm a 2nd time. Don't know how that applies to a TOW though. But if that is what the plate clearly says...

Real case scenario with a AJ37 from F7 (radar training flight): [ame]http://svfplhist.com/37/37070_shk_rapp.pdf[/ame]

The idea was to put some of the workload onto a powerful (for it's time) computer and by doing so making a 2nd crewman unnecessary. In the case of Viggen this job fell on the CK37 (Centralkalkylator 37). Did you look in the "Stick" section under control settings for P-51D Sim? There you will find "Gun fire" and "Weapons release". Map "Gun fire" to the button you want to use on your joystick. One easy mistake to make is to map controls for the game mode and then enter sim mode to play or vice versa. Then there is are selector switches for bombs and/or rockets. Look in the "Front switch box" (or similar wording) section under control settings to find them. The button you mapped to "Weapons release" will then fire rockets or drop bombs depending on these switches. -
True, if you don't count SAAB J35 Draken...

I was thinking they did the good 'old Skanska trick!:D

Don't forget Naval and Marine units! :cheer3nc: (And yeah... Those are real Royal Swedish Marines filmed on location in Afghanistan) Det finns inget dåligt väder! Solen skiner ALLTID på en Kustartillerist!

That together with the Hkp 9 (BO105) from Polychop: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2592107&postcount=12 It is GREAT to be a Swedish armchair pilot these days!

Just out of curiousity: should it really say LASING over the locking device and not LASNING? Locking in Swedish is Låsning. Or perhaps it is referring to something else?

How many "flikar" are there? Found these pdf's as well (don't know if they have been posted in here before): Panel AJSF37 [ame]http://www.flyghistoria.org/image_forum/2012-05-23_AJSF37.pdf[/ame] Panel AJSH37 [ame]http://www.flyghistoria.org/image_forum/2012-05-23_AJSH37.pdf[/ame] And a JA37D panel for comparison [ame]http://www.flyghistoria.org/image_forum/2012-05-23_JA37D.pdf[/ame]

Is this the SFI we are talking about here? [ame]http://www.flyghistoria.org/image_forum/2012-05-23_SFI_AJS37_flik_01.pdf[/ame]

Wait until you tell her that you MUST spend €320 on rudder pedals that a furniture manufacturer in Croatia makes... And do that AFTER you used the "but it is Christmas" excuse to buy a TM HOTAS Warthog and a 144hz monitor (in addition to the ones you already own) but "forgot" to mention you bought a TrackIR5 + ProClip at the same time.

I also use the MFG Crosswind pedals. Couldn't be happier! The precision is great and you can adjust them in so many ways. You can also order extra cam profiles to better represent different aircraft types depending on what sim you fly. When flying helos you can easily remove the spring to keep them from self centering. Amazing piece of kit! And on top of that, Mr Simundza who makes them, is a very helpful guy in case something goes wrong (which hasn't been the case for me but I asked him a lot of questions via email before buying my pedals). Totally recommend them and they make a perfect match to my TM HOTAS Warthog!

I think it will be a 10 plane formation of 39's.

This is sort of on-topic: The Royal Swedish Airforce flotilla of F7 Såtenäs (home of the only airworthy AJS 37 hence the "7" on the side of the nose) will be sending a X-mas greeting to the Västra Götaland region today. They will fly in X-mas tree formation and pass the following towns and cities: Vara 14:53 Grästorp 14:56 Trollhättan 15:03 Uddevalla 15:06 Göteborg 15:15 Borås 15:21 Skara 15:32 Skövde 15:36 Mariestad 15:40 Lidköping 15:45 Thought some of my fellow Swedish armchair pilots would enjoy this. EDIT: This is what it looked like over the train station in Trollhättan at approx 15:01. Filmed with my iPhone 6 hence the "quality"...

Repeat after me: "Självsäker AJS Trettiosju skjuter sjömålsrobot mot sjuk sjörövare på sjön sjunkande från sjutusensjuhundrasjuttiosju fot" :smartass:

www.robotmuseum.se/ has some info (in Swe, Eng and Ger) but not any real in-depth stuff...

That was exactly what I meant.

I think those fins are antennas for the FR29 flight radio system.
-
Yes of course it is! We borrowed most of it from the Germans! :D
-
What is the source of those? Just curious since they don't match the data I got from the Royal Swedish Airforce aircraft identification manual.
