  1. Socket 939 was the first platform which supported X2 CPUs - it stands to reason they might give us 2-to-1 support as well. :smilewink:
  2. Reverse HyperThreading. So simple, yet SO effective.
  3. Can't wait for the skin! Thanks for replying to my plea! :D
  4. Find someone with old games like Quake 2 or Halflife 1 (or better yet, get them yourselves) - and download utilities to get sounds from those. As for pilot chatter - Homeworld 1 is your best bet.
  5. Thank you very much - it did work, and now I'm a proud pilot of two more flyables and I have an extra "excuse" to shoot down. Cheers!
  6. Argh. I just discovered that the version I downloaded from JaBoG32 was an old version, with faulty MiG-29K pylons. Any chance I could get a minor "fix" just for that? There's no version number, but according to the ModMan package data it was created on 14/2/2006... way too old, it seems. Even so old, it works pretty well, I've flown both the new planes and tested the F-111. Still - any hope for me, or am I doomed to download the new version? My DSL doesn't come with cheap flatrate, I'm stuck with pay-per-transfer. Edit: Errr. I just noticed how OLD the thread is. Sigh. I should've paid more attention.
  7. The Su-30MK is the equivalent of the Su-37 in all terms... even TVC in some models. If they get anything past the 30MK-1, it'll be TVC-equipped for sure with avionics comparable to the 37 demo model.
  8. May they safely fly, always survive and never take off in aggression.
  9. Sorry to deflect the thread a bit, but... Are there any plans for merging the Aardvark(sp!)/Sea-Frog/Sea-Fulcrum Supermod with Shepski's realistic weapons XML? :music_whistling: <edit> disregard the question. Silly me for not checking it with LOPE yet. My apologies.
  10. Mods, Devs, Betas, can we please get a signal on if this's been taken into account? I do realize you have your hands full, but I've experienced some of those bugs - most notably the twin AI landings. These aren't devastating bugs - but they do bad things to my suspension of disbelief.
  11. A burning oil barrel would be enough for me. :music_whistling: Now that I think of it, a grassy landing pad or grassy airstrip would be excellent. I remember the grass runway mod which was crude, but gave a good impression of what it'd look like - a grass strip with tyre stacks marking the edges. It would be great if it were recreated in more detail.
  12. Maybe he used GIMP or Paint.NET? :P Either way, very nice work.
  13. Alright... anyone up here to help a poor MiG trainee? :helpsmilie:
  14. I think it's possible if you edit the MFD skin - I downloaded an MFD mod long ago, that's used with MiGs and Su-27/33 and adds angle lines at 15 and 30 on each side, I think. I'll see if it can be repainted to a cool blue and let you people know. ;)
  15. Thank you, sir! I'll make room for in LOMAN. :D
  16. 4:3 = 1.33333 16:9 = 1.77777 16:10 = 1.6 5:4 = 1.25 Maybe you should implement a set of quick-aspect buttons. If you do, I suggest you take the user-defined width (i.e. 1024), and have the user press either the 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 or 16:10 button. Once they do that, the height of the resolution would calculate itself automatically. That way you wouldn't have someone input a weird resolution like 1024x512. The ratios I listed above are the most common on monitors. 4:3 is the standard for TV and CRT monitors, 5:4 is for LCD monitors, 16:9 is the widescreen standard, and 16:10 is computer widescreen. This way you'd cover most screen sizes used.
  17. Tested the program and I like it so far, especially the graphical settings preview - though it looks like all your "effects settings" images are the same. If you want me to, I could give the english language file a run-though, I noticed a few typos that might need cleaning up.
  18. Interesting program. I'll check it out first thing in the morning. :)
  19. I beg to differ. By and large, the MiG-21 was one of the most mass-produced airplances post-WW2, and quite a few of the in-game listed nations have operated and still operate them - especially if you consider the fictional Lock-On theater is circa 1980, where they were still reserve fighters if nothing else. I agree, having a Yak-38 or Yak-(1)41 would be excellent, especially the latter since it was a tech demonstrator with breakthroughs in quite a few fields, including post-Mach flight. The problem is, for one, they'd have to make a decent cross between the Ka-50 and Su-25T flightmodels as the 141 is a VSTOL jet. For two, and a much bigger problem, is the fact the 141 never made it top operational status - the ex-CCCP industry crashed, and the 141 was unfortunately mothballed. As for the 38, the problem is that there were too few produced, and the vertical landing procedure was something fierce - you absolutely had to autoland. :joystick: I wouldn't call it pathetic, though one of them as a flyable would really need the other one. Kind of like the MiG-29 would really need an F-16, except it wasn't created because of constraints best known and left to ED. And, possibly, to keep the balance, Mirage-2000, except if you count the MiG-29G. To recap on the VTOLs, the same thing would apply for the following combo - AV-8B Harrier II, BAe Harrier GR7/9 and Yak-38/41. Frankly, I'd be very happy to see a MiG-21, be it flyable or not. If it's a non-flyable, it'd be all fine and well, because it means not having to worry about the F-4's player flight-model as well. The variant doesn't matter - I'd be equally happy seeing a MiG-21F-13, MiG-21bis, MiG-21-93 or MiG-21-2000 model. If it were flyable, the most realistic one would be the bis.
  20. Such is the power of a Delta wing. :D
  21. Well, damn my faulty memory. I do know of those two skins. And while they both look great, they're neither here or there, the one I'd love seeing would be a cross between those two. If someone is willing to dedicate some time to it, it could be another unique (and equally realistic) skin.
  22. Greetings. A good friend of mine recently sent me this image, so I went searching for a skin similar (or, preferably, the same) as this one. Unfortunately, so far, I've been out of luck. So, considering there aren't any around... Would anyone be willing to create this skin? I'd be much obliged.
  23. Very simple. You don't get the selection back - instead, you run the setup.exe manually, without autorun, and work your way from there.
  24. This template's going to rule them all.
