  1. That would be a good idea provided there was an optical-media version as well. I wouldn't want to rely on my ISP to give me a stable connection.
  2. I actually have that Frogfoot skin, complete with Czech markings on the wings. The tail art is hilarious! :megalol:
  3. Exactly three with spare change. :P Hopefully, along with other countries, Croatia will purchase them. It's either that or the F-16. *shudder*
  4. So... what's what on the images? Let's go for a little ID... Image 1, three Su-27 Flankers, three Tu-22M Backfires, two more fixed-wings that look like Tu-22 Blinders (unsure) and two more fixed-wing transports that I have no idea what they are. Image 2, a Flanker stack and... looks like three Su-24 Fencers to me. Image 3, more Flankers... either a repainted Flanker or a Su-34 Fullback. Another unknown transport. Image 4, lonely Fencer. Someone please fill in the blanks and/or correct me, I'm positive I FUBARed at least one of them.
  5. I stick with TS cause I haven't reinstalled Win2K in forever, and the WinInstaller went dead on me so Ventrillo can't even stick to the harddrive.
  6. Yes, it's "ПОМЕХА". That's the right one. ;)
  7. If I did, it wouldn't keep proof of me being wrong, so let's keep it like that. :music_whistling: Also true, however I think they got the version numbers mixed up, NTOSKRNL 5.1 isn't exactly an upgrade over Win2K, more of its diametrical opposite. :smilewink:
  8. Got a snippet off the Russian TV about the Su-37 pulling that same maneuver. Considering there are TVC-equipped regular Flankers, no doubt they can pull it off, too.
  9. Thanks to both of you for the rapid replies. I have seen the Red Hammers around this and other forums for quite a while now - I'm looking forward to flying with you guys. :D
  10. To explain the thread subject a bit, I'm planning on buying Flaming Cliffs sometime this month. Being a Grach driver, I can already tell I'm going to like the 25T, but so far I haven't been able to find a comprehensive list of just what differences I can expect with the new flight model. For the sake of anyone else who's pondering about buying FC, can someone list the major differences between the Su-25 and the Su-25T (HUD and TVM aside)?
  11. At the risk of hijacking a thread... I know I'd want a Yak-141 Freestyle. VTOL, maneuverable, speedy, and can fit into a garage with wings folded. :P
  12. It has to be application-supported as well. Otherwise, anyone with an X2 CPU and Win2K or NT (which share the NT5.1 kernel) would get an immediate performance boost in every apsect - which they don't.
  13. Nice, so they've reached that... it'll take them 20 more years to create something that can mimic the Terminator's Frolov Chakra.* *The Frolov Chakra is a maneuver where an aircraft, such as the Su-37 performs a mid-air somersault of sorts. It is performed by following the standard procedure for a Cobra, but instead of snapping back to level flight it continues to pull the nose further back, at one point flying tail-first.
  14. Not exactly. No Windows OS up to date can fully utilize multi-core CPUs, so no game can actually benefit from it. I'd sit tight and wait for AMD to deploy their "dualcore-acting-as-one" CPU series. If they can nail it right, any current and past game (LOMAC included) would get a tremendous boost.
  15. By that analogy one'd expect LockOn to be written in x86 assembly - we do not want to be that demanding. :smilewink:
  16. A good pilot knows his plane well. A great pilot knows his team well. A guru knows everything well. ;)
  17. I usually go with ZZZSpace's soundpack V8. You might want to ask vekkinho for an opinion back home, though, since he's already done a very good job at making his own soundpack out of the above four.
  18. Hmm. An underground site indeed. Full of information, too. :) That would be an interesting feature - it'd be a very practical step towards HOTAS flight without having to include an actual HOTAS setup.
  19. Finally an image of the Novi Avion... been looking for this one for quite a while. Correct me if I'm wrong, NScode, but it was supposed to perform a bit like the Gripen, right? At least, according to the few articles I've found online.
  20. Man can always dream... I'd be up for any of those, especilly the Phantom and the Fishbed. :smilewink:
  21. Христос васкрс.
  22. Wasn't there a third party patch that included some reassembled shaders? If memory serves, they were supposed to both patch the shading bugs and increase framerate. Can't think of the link off the top of my head, though.
  23. Well, while you're looking at Nellis AFB, take a peek a bit north and to the west. Plenty of pockmarked terrain there, including something that looks like lines in the sand.
