In distance couldn't they just use sprites to represent infantries?

Direct X 10 possible graphical power

I do not think that the nuke in World in Conflict was the best I've seen. It's graphically impressive, but there are too little dust blowing on the ground, the shockwave looks weak, etc. -
Do you want a full 360-degree view display?

Thanks for the laugh Tekateka, that thing looks hilarious! :D -
F-22 destroys the Su-27 in super maneuverbility

Another speculation I've heard of was the payload theory, which is also mentioned on that website. -
Well the engine is cpu demanding, so I don't think extra eye candy will hurt that much, at least for newer rigs. And if it does, just turn the new feature off :D

Check this out: NEw SIM based on Falcon 4 engine.

It's free, so what could go wrong? -
Reading the user responses from youtube is both funny and painful.

I think explosions could look a lot better in LOMAC... :( sure on aircraft going at mach 1 wouldn't notice it from miles away, but from black shark I think it would be noticible. I agree that it's not a priority though.

Whose Explosions Are Bigger? Video.

Why didn't we get to see the explosion from F4? -
**NEW MOVIE: Speed **

Amazingly fun movie to watch. I hope the sequel comes fast :D -
7900 GTX can breeze through the graphics for Lock On. You will have to worry about draw distance and water only.

Well I realized that fuel air bomb in this game is kinda tiny. I expected one of those HUGE ones, but oh well it's carried by SU-27 afterall...
-
I tried that and the para worked, but the explosion is still kinda tiny.
-
I too was looking forward to seeing a huge boom with the bomb, but it was very disappointing. Does anyone know if ED cares about updating the explosion visuals by any chance?

Requesting a modest release estimate

Shows the genius of Blizzard and poor work of EA/Dice. -
I hope that's the case, but last time I tried to bring in cost of aircraft into consideration, I was asked by few forum members not to mention anything political.
-
Nice rig IguanaKing (I love you, but I despise your political views, wait, I'm not even sure if that was you), but your rig won't feature the new Nvidia's $1,7500 Quadro Plex :P Still, nice rig. Those conroes should be able to offer amazing improvement for Lock On over your older processors.

Even without the political concerns (but since when did the military mobilize without a political reason?), dealing with limited resources is valid concern for the military. Nobody have infinite budget, thus the cost of weapons should be taken into account. Unless you consider cost-efficiency concerns as a political one...
-
Last time I checked, construction/planning of F22 was not done by grunts :music_whistling: To disregard cost efficiency is just unrealistic. Things cost money, resources and peoplepower in real life, so I don't see a problem with considering those aspects. Otherwise we would all be stupid for not driving the most expensive ferrari and not owning our personal jets. I still love you though :D
-
Well lomac doesn't have to use two cores I believe, because Core 2 is just way faster than other cpus.
-
Discussing military without politics is... umm...
-
Shouldn't it run LOMAC better than any other cpus out there?
