BS1+BS2 Upgrade serial numbers to DCS: Black Shark 2
grimnir replied to BIGNEWY's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I submitted a support ticket explaining the issue, it is showing correct price now. Thanks ED. -
If you have BS1 to BS2 upgrade, and see BS3 at full price, DO THIS!

Yes exactly, this is what I did. I would assume if one already owned the Black Shark 2 upgrade in DCS account, one would qualify for discount. I don’t mind paying full price to support the product, but I would rather have the discount. Edit: I submitted a support ticket explaining the issue, price is correct now: 9.99.

I bought Black Shark 1 on Steam ages ago, then later I upgraded to DCS: Black Shark 2 Upgrade (download version) from the DCS Store. Now I wanna upgrade to BS3, but I don't have the BS1 key... or at least I cant find it on Steam. Do I need to buy at full price?

BS1+BS2 Upgrade serial numbers to DCS: Black Shark 2
grimnir replied to BIGNEWY's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Hi thank you for this, but where can I find the serial key for the Steam version of Black Shark 1? I do have this: DCS: Black Shark 2 Upgrade (download version) On this page, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/replacebs/, the "Upgrade from DCS: Black Shark 1 to DCS: Black Shark 2:" field is filled in with my Black Shark 2 key, but no help as I don't find the Black Shark 1 key in Steam. Do I have to pay the full price? Thank you. -

I have DCS: Black Shark on Steam, where can I find the serial key? I already have the DCS: Black Shark 2 Upgrade from before, and I now want to upgrade doing this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/replacebs/ But alas, I can't find the Steam key for DCS Black Shark -
It is really a shame that these old campaigns don’t get any love as they are quite good. Also they are the first campaigns new players will try, and if they don’t work or are to hard then it will cause unnecessary frustration. For me I can’t get past the campaign «Rescuer», as described here: I have give up waiting for a update on this.

That is also a good whisky-tune

This! Don’t stare at the basket, try to just fly in formation with the tanker. Also: relax, tense muscles are slow and unprecise. Try to hum a melody, that helps for me. It is not easy, but we do not fly DCS because it is easy, we do it because it is hard.

Bump? Any update on this?

Much appreciated, thanks.

Ok so I tried again, this time with no time acceleration: Exact same think happened, Mi-8 does the dance, flies off, mission fails. Here is the lates track (again on Google Drive as a zip): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xwK3Mgx0-izlCmYue6mbtsFeWia0nq5B/view?usp=sharing Thank you.

I see, I did accelerate time. Can try to another playthrough with no time acceleration.

Thank you so much Flappie, I also will try again later this evening or tomorrow. Will attach a new trackfile then where hopefully it doesn't show me crashing into the mountain.
-
No problem and thanks for swift reply. Really strange as I did not crash, but I flew close to the mountains. Anyways it is always the same: Mi-8 does the little dance, flies away and mission fails. When using these files I can complete it: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308753/ What else can I try to help? I am running the latest stable build.

Hi again, I just testet and it failed again. I did save the track, but I can't attach it as the size is 7MB. Tried to zip it, but still 6MB. I did add it to my Google Drive with an open share: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZaCCjAjhbZwrgAdU5HpR6ln73eYGh-Jg/view?usp=sharing But same thing happened: I approach the crash site, see the infantry open fire, take them out, one of the tents gets destroyed, then the Mi-8 tries to land with the "dance", then flies off and mission fails. Thank you for your time Flappie.

Thank you for reply and taking the time to test, much appreciated. The «dance» is a good description, as if it is unable to find a landing spot. It has been a month since my last test, but will try again and attach track.

Sorry for the late reply. For example mission 7 of the Deployment campaign, «Rescuer» I think the name is. You have to escort another helicopter to save some downed pilots, but mission always fails as the helicopter is unable to land. Perhaps something to do with triggers? I had to download this fix: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308753/ But this also has english voiceovers which I personally don’t like. Anyways: I would be super-happy if this was fixed. Thank you!

I have a wish: please fix the old KA-50 campaigns (Deployment, Oil War++). I know it is possible to download fixes for this from User files download, and I appreciate the effort... but an official fix would be great. Is it a lot of work? I think it is a shame that these campaigns doesn't get fixed as they are very good. Anyways: it's just a wish.

I am glad I purchased this Campaign
grimnir replied to Mistermann's topic in F/A-18C Rising Squall Campaign
Just wanted to give a shout-out too: I find myself enjoying the campaign immensly, and the music fits the action like a glow. As for voice-acting it is mostly good I think, with a few cringe-worthy moments here and there... but overall more good than bad. The missions are also good for an intermediate hornet-pilot. I am by no means an expert, but difficulty is more or less perfect. The only mission I struggled with was that carrier defence mission, had do redo that a number of times. So hard stop the carrier from getting hit. Anyways: will for sure buy more of Inverted campaigns. -
MSFFB2 feedback not working after one mission
grimnir replied to Huckle's topic in Bugs and Problems
Bump! I realize this is an old thread, but I also have this problem with my MSFFB2. It seems to have something to do with the way missions are loading in a new window. I also loose my FFB if I alt-tab out to windows. -
Hi all, I have been trying to search the forums for a solution to my problem, but with no luck. My system: I'm running Win7 X64 and DCS World + DCS Black Shark 2 and a Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick for controll. I'm running in full simulation mode. Before this I was playing the original DCS Black Shark with no problems at all. My problem: Anyways, my problem is that when playing Black Shark 2 the force feedback on my stick only works properly for one mission. After that the stick goes completely loose, like in no resistance at all. The same goes if I for some reason should ALT+tab to desktop; then I also loose FFB. I have checked in the options that force feedback is enabled. I have also ticked the "swap axis" for the force feedback. When I exit to windows the stick is still loose. To get the joystick working properly I have to unplug and insert the USB for the stick, after that all is good again. But it is a bit annoying that I have to exit to desktop and unplug the stick for every mission. As I've mentioned my stick works perfectly with the original DCS Black Shark, so it seems like they have done something with Black Shark 2 that breaks the force feedback on the stick. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
