  1. Many times I needed repair, the front wheel (specific the tire) got damaged as soon as the helicopter touched the ground. It happens in airports as well as in FARPs. It doesn't happen all the time so I can't pinpoint what is causing it. Anyone else with this problem?
  2. DCS is not the only program that can/needs to be configured. I noticed the FPS drop Alt+Tab is causing in DCS performance when I was trying to configure Teamspeak's volume. And I assume Mistermann was trying to configure Saitek's profile or something. Just because you don't Alt+Tab in-game that doesn't mean that other people don't. Since Alt+Tab gave more than one people trouble then surely there must be something wrong there. And because it's something that is not so obvious I think that threads like this can really help people. Don't you?
  3. Although there are many threads about the FPS problem that connect it with smoke effects and what not, I think I have found another thing that causes Low FPS. I have noticed that if I (for whatever reason) use Alt+Tab to the Desktop and back in the game, I have FPS impact. Mostly this happens in multiplayer and rarely in single player (but I still have Low FPS in single player. Just not that much.) I don't know if this is common to anyone else but I thought that it may give the developers an idea as to where to look. If it's only me, just ignore it.
  4. Some asked why Greece should be included in DCS wondering what Greece has to offer. Greece has no money so they are easy target, they are not a worthy opponent etc. Here is one of the many reasons why: http://eu.greekreporter.com/2013/04/02/two-greeks-among-natos-top-pilots/ People seem to forget that it's not the guns that win the wars. It's the spirit of those that fight with them. Inside NATO there are many countries that have millions of people to choose who would be their best pilots. Inside NATO there are countries that are producing the armaments and know their inside out. They know all their strengths and all their weaknesses. And yet, the two best pilots amongst NATO's nations are two young men coming from this small country.
  5. All I did was simply expressing my thoughts about a very well known bug that it has been around for quite a while and it affects MANY people. You made me sound like I was complaining and (worst) blaming ED for me not being able to purchase a lightning fast super PC. Please don't put words in my mouth. Me mentioning not having a very fast PC was just to point out that this bug affects systems that are well within the official system requirements as advertised by ED. So it's not our fault. All I said was that we shouldn't have to go and buy new PCs for something that is clearly a software bug. I think that these kind of bugs should be in higher priority than, say, graphic eye candies. My realistic expectations are that software bugs should be fixed by the company that produces the software product (and kudos to ED who has already acknowledged this problem and announced that they are working on it). If this is considered unrealistic, then I apologize. P.S. Suggestion/question to ED. Since from what I understand this problem was introduced with the new graphics (like smoke etc) and/or code for some explosions, until you find a way to remedy the problem, would it be possible to give an option for the user to choose whether he/she wants to use the newer graphics or the old ones that will give them better frame rates?
  6. That's bad news for me. Not having a very fast PC this hits me hard. There are times where frames drop to 1 fps. Especially in multiplayer where there are a dozen of guys dropping anything they have all at once. Please make this a priority so that it is fixed with the next patch. Thanks.
  7. Not a big thing but I've noticed that both these models have a hole on their fuselage (see red circles). A missing triangle or, maybe, inverted normals?
  8. Thanks Devrim. Your suggestion worked! It was the z axis that needed to be fixed. Freetrack sees it as x axis. I now finally have a real 6DOF cockpit. But why on earth go through all the trouble to make a 3d cocpit only to limit it in almost 2d? It really felt like it was a LockOn cockpit. I think devs should look at it. And a question. Will this make any trouble to multi-playing? Will servers consider it as a hack and not allow it?
  9. Hi guys. I know this is a somewhat old thread but I have the exactly same problem. I use freetrack and it works with BS2 just fine. Except that in x axis (left and right) the movement is really limited. Is this how it suppose to be or there is something wrong with my installation? It is a new installation of DCS World and BS2 was the first module to be installed. I also tried to repair it. Please help.
