Have you tried to download it with torrent? Maybe the program you use to download it corrupts it for some reason. Try torrent and see if that helps.

This is indeed something that needs to change. Currently the pirates are enjoying trouble free* games they haven't bought, while legit customers are being punished for something that others do (pirating). Pirates are laughing with the legit paying customers. But as much as I hate the current system of protection, I am afraid as to what could be the replacement of it. History shows that when change happened it was for the worse. A temporary solution could be that on top of the one activation after a month (when all de/activations are used) they could make it renew ALL 10 and 10 activations/de-activation after six months. Six months is an acceptable amount of time for most users having 10 and 10 activations/de-activations totaling to 20 complete formats or even PC change in a period of half a year. * I know they might contain viruses. But many cracks don't. And even if they do come with one, a pirate can format his/her PC without worrying about activations and losing the ability to use a product that they payed for.

As much as I would love to see these, if implemented, DCS will not be a Digital Combat Simulator anymore.

WOW! What a rude attitude. Do I really have to know everything? With so many posts from people having trouble and loosing activations, is really a question like this not permitted and deserves a rude response? Should I apologize for being cautious? If there is a possibility to upgrade my os and not lose activations who are you to deprive me from that right?

But this way you lose a de-activation. I was hoping for something without a loss. Plus, the more modules someone have the more cumbersome it becomes. And the chances of forgetting to deactivate a module increase. I guess we have to wait and see.

If it actually end up being so, what does it mean for modules activations. Will we lose activations for every module we have? I really hope not. Windows 8 was a disaster. I don't want to find my self in a dilemma whether to stay with an OS I don't like and save activations or upgrade and, unnecessary, lose activations.

If you only want an answer that will have any kind of weight in it you should only look at the Official Updates section of the forum. The quote above is from the latest Newsletter.

There are many who use DIY head-tracking with Freetrack or FaceTrackNoIR. You will be surprised how much difference it makes when you use headtracking in this sim.

A form of pilot in command (PIC) function would be great. If someone misbehaves the PIC should be able to kick his/her behind right off the aircraft. Preferably without a parachute :D.

What would be the point? The DCS World is NOT 100% identical with the real world. If you made a mission based on google earth maps, inside DCS you would be looking for buildings and terrain that will simply be absent from the digital world.

It might be the case that you have accidentally changed the password and/or username by pressing the buttons of your joystick. If you have assigned to them keyboard shortcuts and press them in the logging prompt, it is like inputting additional characters to the password string. It happened to me more than once. And if you have "Save password" checked it remembers the wrong information. Try writing from scratch your logging info and see if this is the problem.

It also happens in single missions. I tried running the two single missions for F-15 that FC3 has and in one I was in a Mig-29 and in the other I was in a Su-25T!!! :unsure:

It's not easy to write a manual. It takes time and effort. But I feel you. This whole experience ruined it for me. I am really considering not to buy anything that is in Beta from anyone (except maybe ED itself). And even if they take the Beta label out I will still wait many months and check if they support it properly before buying anything again. Huey is out of Beta but the manual is still not finished, the lights panel not implemented yet etc. I am almost at a point where it must be a plain or heli that I really want it badly and it must be on a really good sale price to make me buy another beta from anyone again. I even passed on the Sabre and Dora at the flash sale. Maybe things will turn out to be good after all. Only time will tell.

If your PC can handle it, change the Textures setting in the Graphics Options to HIGH. That's the only way I've found to remedy somewhat this issue.

? :huh: With a quick glance at the keyboard shortcuts, I see that every FC plane has this setting: "LShift - F" - Flaps Landing Position. Maybe you are confused with the fact that some planes don't have separate flaps and ailerons (like for ex. the su-27). They are designed with combined flaps and ailerons (surprisingly called flapailerons :D). Also how many flaps positions a plane has depends on its design.

Or it can be exactly the same, 'couse it was PilotMi8 who mentioned the W version. P.S. I vote for W.

So far I have only seen this in Su-25/25T (In FC level planes).

I've just noticed it too. I can choose the mode of the autopilot but I cannot engage it.

For a "No bug fixing" update I was surprised to see almost 1GB of download!

Ahrrrrrgh. So can Realtek be the culprit for that weird "mouse moving noise" I get in some apps? In DCS the most noticeable noise from moving the mouse is in the Multiplayer start screen (and other menu screens). It's really annoying.

Yes, it happened recently. I know it was mentioned already by someone else but I don't know if it is fixed internally. Really annoying bug.

Thanks Flagrum. It seems that they are just delayed from unforeseen matters. YoYo, I don't think that BS manual will help me on how to start the Mi-8 and use it's systems and armament :(.

Is there any hope we'll see a proper manual for Mi-8? Like in the case of the Huey, I delay learning the manual start procedure because of that. A proper manual really helps a lot. P.S. Huey is out of beta but the manual is still WIP :( (Although the most important things are documented). I hope this does not happen to Hips manual too.

Either your are wrong or the manual is wrong: P.S. The lights lighting in my case are the ones bellow the wings and the problem I encounter is with the function of the flaps in Su-27 (I haven't checked Su-33 yet).
