  2. Very nice! I might have to give this a try! Any teamspeak compatability issues? Can i run the latest TS?
  3. Saw those..... Might have to buy...... Must resist. Wallet is floating away.....
  4. I have pushed fairly hard on mine. I have one out for testing right now. Hopefully he will post his review. I told him to try and break it but don't break his joystick doing it... It's still in one piece! 6061 aluminum has tensile strength of 18000 PSI Taulman 645 has 12,000 psi.....
  5. I just ordered Mike Powells Building Recreational flight sims as well...... I'll have to start looking at digikey more.
  6. I want to.... I need more time and money dammit!
  7. I've got 2 leo bodnar BU0836A inbound for testing!
  8. I am using a highly modified solidoodle 3. : ) I am running .5 infill on these. I am using the Taulman 645. Anything over .5 infill seems to be a waste on these nylon parts. The stuff is in fact incredibly strong. I have a prototype batch I was using that were ABS. Snapped one off in a matter of minutes. The printer pics can be found in this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118930

Anywhere else if you would like to find a way to reasonably ship. Extensions will take roughly 5-7 days to build and ship from order date. The extension tube is 1/2" OD 1.370" ID 6061 Aluminum alloy tubing. It will be custom cut to desired length. The adapters are high strength Taulman 645 Nylon. Cables will be included but will need to be modified. Tutorial to come soon. Kit Price - $100 plus shipping. Kit will include. 1x Male warthog adapter. 1x Female warthog adapter. 1x 6061 aluminum tube to length of choice. 1X 3ft Male to Female PS/2 cable. (NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED BY THE END USER FOR FIT!) Tools required for install. Hammer Sharp knife to modify chord. Drill with 3.2mm / 1/8" drill bit. I will fully assemble and modify the cord for an additional $10 Normal kit will need to be assembles unless specified. If you assemble yourself you can adjust the rotation you wish your control stick to sit. Please let me know if you have any questions. For any custom 3D printing requests see this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118930 Prototype Centering Spring and Throw Limiter. Still a WIP.
  10. How do you mount something like that? I was looking at the leo bodnar 8 ways but I don't really need 8 ways.
  11. I have seen the ones at digikey but those are pretty pricey. Anyone using anything else?
  12. Have you seen Film's extension kit? Maybe something like that? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110419
  13. Observer prototype A. I am not sure how I feel about the setup. I need to tweak a few things. Tension is adjustable by height. It will def center with the full extension. The stick it a little off center due to the way the spring is manufactured.
  14. Spring is here!!
  15. Wow. One of the nicest setups I have seen in a while!
  16. I see you have a spring as well. How is that working out? is it just enough force to hold it in position and let go? Also how did you bend your pipe?
  17. Yes. I made that. I have not had much testing though. Still working on the prototype. The friction piece is nylon and the shaft is SS and it rides in ball bearings so I don't see it degrading to quickly. Well I hope not anyway : ). Maybe I will bump it up a size or two. I was going to use the nylon instead of derlin. Its extremely slippery and self lubricating. There is also the problem of the Accuracy of the printer. It most likely will not be as smooth. I wont know until I try it.
  18. That is an awesome setup. Working on a few more things before I can get back to the collective. Thanks for the advice! I was thinking of making a collar similar to that with my 3d printer.
  19. I did think of this when I was creating it. I have yet to test this one but that is a valid concern. I think i can easily change the piece to work in the same manner as the stock piece. This was more of a prototype. Thanks for all the help guys!
  20. Finishing up some extensions! Working on finding a way to bend the pipe to the shape i want.
  21. Getting Closer!
  22. I have a spring on the way for testing. :smilewink:
  23. Found a spring. Should be here next week for testing.
  24. Excellent HMA! I'll pass this on. A few of our members are still having problems.
  25. First extension goes out for evaluation today. I am also nearing a limit solution and tracking down a spring for my adjustable force design. Below is a prototype/top plate for the adjustable gimbals restriction and spring mount.
