  1. Thank you for the logs! It looks like that your export.lua file contains errors: 2018-06-21 23:45:52.275 ERROR Lua::Config: Call error LuaExportBeforeNextFrame:[string "C:\Users\steve\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua"]:6793: bad argument #1 to 'sub' (string expected, got nil) stack traceback: [C]: ? [C]: in function 'sub' [string "C:\Users\steve\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua"]:6793: in function 'ProcessInput' [string "C:\Users\steve\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua"]:6387: in function <[string "C:\Users\steve\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua"]:6386>. My guess it that the problem is coming from the recent changes related to Helios. If you edit the export.lua file and put in first the lines related to Tacview, this will fix Tacview export. Note that this will not fix the original problem with Helios though.
  2. LazyBoot is correct. I have planned to improve the anti-cheat system to be more user friendly in a coming update, this is just a matter of time… Meanwhile, if you playback the corresponding track file (*.trk) in DCS, your flight should be fully recorded a in a new acmi file, assuming if it was long enough.
  3. The Persian Golf map has been added to Tacview 1.7.2 which is currently in beta.
  4. Thank you for the log! I will check this problem when I will do another debug pass on the exporter.
  5. Tacview 1.7.2 beta 3 installed does not install properly the appropriates files in DCS World folders. Can you try to reinstall Tacview 1.7.1? (no need to uninstall first) you should then see the Tacview menu in the DCS World. I see, I like the idea of renaming the flags in Tacview remote controls. I am adding it to the list, but I cannot promise any delivery date.
  6. More about remote controls: to control a client aircraft, simply connect one of your remote control to the client computer which has the aircraft you want to control You can right-click on a remote control command to assign a key or joystick input. You can enter passwords in DCS->Settings->Special->Tacview page to open the real-time telemetry and remote controls only to specific people. Note that by default your router/firewall may already prevent any remote coming access from Internet. Do not forget to open the ports on the target computer router to be able to access it. You can trigger predefined flags 1001 to 1008 using the remote control (simple click and double click give two different values). The remote control must be connected to the host for the flags to work. So far, I did not find any way to rename the flags. I wanted to, but it looks like that DCS API was supporting only numerical flags. I think single click set the flags to 1 and double click set the flag to 2. I may add more commands later, but I still have a lot of work on other features first. The focus buttons are used to defined which remote controls are listening to your joystick/keyboard key definitions. This is useful to not conflict with other remote controls if you have assigned the same joystick controls to several remote controls for example. There are 4 remote controls, so you can control four client computers at the same time. Or one host (for the mission flags) plus 3 clients. Remember: each remote must be connected to the corresponding client or host computer depending on what you want to control.
  7. LSO: It’s coming, just two more weeks™ left… Pilot controls position is not yet available, but this is planned. I may have found a way to do it with DCS.
  8. I think that I have seen this kind of problem once a long time ago. Can you share me the server dcs.log of the corresponding game? In the coming months, I will do another pass on the DCS world exporter to improve its support of online flights.
  9. It looks like I forgot to update the old documentation about 3D object. With Tacview 1.7.x you must extend your local database to see the proper 3D model for this aircraft carrier. See http://www.tacview.net/documentation/database/ Or you can way for Tacview 1.7.2 to be released…
  10. Unfortunately, I did not have the time yet to work on this feature. It is still planned. Now, there is a new surprise feature coming, which should indirectly help you on that matter.
  11. I think that the 104th has disabled telemetry export to prevent cheating. In that case, after your flight has ended, just playback the corresponding track file which is automatically generated by DCS. Tacview exporter will be able to record its data.
  12. My apologies for the delay Stache. I had issues with emails during the past days. I may have missed your message... Can you PM me with your full name and your current product key please?
  13. Make sure the terrain is either set to Auto or DCS World. Which map are you flying in? If this is the new Georgia, I did not have the time to export it yet. It will be updated in Tacview 1.7.2.
  14. When the object (here a MiG-21) disappear from Tacview, it means that the aircraft has effectively been destroyed and DCS World has removed it from the “world”. Now, it is possible that some major parts of the aircraft were still present in DCS, and it was possible for you and the other pilot to shoot down theses flying leftovers. It looks like that DCS World does not always report these severely damaged aircraft (in fire), therefore they are not visible in Tacview. Nevertheless, this does not change the fact that you were, indeed, the one who has incapacitated the “threat”.
  15. Tacview 1.7.1 is now available to everyone! Download: http://tacview.net/download This intermediate release offers many fixes and improvements. You can now use the new time-shift tool to temporally merge the telemetry of different flights to visually compare performances and trajectories. This could be quite handy to visualize multiple take-off techniques, as well as comparing air-race trajectories. Numerous 3D models have been added. If your favorite ones are not here, please share an acmi file, and I will do my best to add the missing objects in Tacview database. Here is an example of the new time-shift tool: Load and/or merge several tracks Use the time-shift tool to synchronize each attempt Compare the results in the 3D view! (see the screenshot below) Vyrtuoz FEATURES & CHANGES Added a time-shift tool to fix telemetry or to create “ghosts” to compare performances Added list of active aircraft in the 3D view to select and disable (SHIFT+CLICK) objects Added real-time telemetry and remote-control passwords to DCS World exporter FSX2ACMI and XPL2ACMI do not force objects colors to blue anymore (color can now be predefined in a custom dabase) Minor improvements to the csv file importer It is now possible to activate Tacview for the entire system in addition of current user Added numerous new 3d models Added sea surface in full 3D terrain mode Improved submarines support Improved the acmi importer to gracefully handle malformed object names in some of IL-2 acmi files The main menu has been reorganized a bit to be more intuitive FIXES Fixed performance issue: dynamic objects where displayed twice (1.7.0 regression) Some textures where not always properly displayed on the ground Objects auto-selection was always preferring bullseyes over ground objects Bookmarks are now exported when exporting XML flight log 5 and 20 minutes playback delay were considered as 10 minutes by the DCS World exporter Opaque custom terrain textures where displayed as transparent textures Matra missiles names are not correct in DCS World 2.5.0

  17. If you reboot your computer and re-install Tacview 1.7.1, do you get the same error message?
  18. Indeed! I think that the usual problem with Intel GPUs are their poor drivers, they are no supported, bugged and slow. While nVidia is known for its always up-to-date and optimized drivers. This may explain the difference between the HD 630 and the GTX 630M which looks very close on paper, but which behave completely differently in “real-life”. Thank you for the feedback!
  19. Hi Hoggorm, Are you talking about lag during real-time telemetry recording, or stutter during after action replay? Do you notice the same problem with Tacview 1.6.4 available on the web following page? Can you share me the corresponding acmi file as well as your dxdiag log file please? http://www.tacview.net/support/reportbug/#dxdiag
  20. Understood. I will eventually add a tool to export a part of the flight data recording from Tacview.
  21. Whenever you press RAlt + B during your flight, DCS World exporter will insert a bookmark in the event log. These bookmarks are clearly identified in Tacview, so you should be able to quickly jump to one or another during your debriefing session. I will add another shortcut to toggle data recording on the fly in a future update.
  22. To change the default delay, you must install the latest version of the exporter on the server. Then change the delay option in the Server DCS world options menu. I have found and fixed a bug in Tacview 1.7.1 which was considering a delay of 5 minutes as 10 minutes. But if you set the delay to “no delay/ real time” you should be able to playback the flight right away, even with Tacview 1.7.0.
  23. Hi Ikonane, It looks like that the file has been corrupted, probably because of a crash of DCS World. Unfortunately, it is not possible to recover such file... You can still try to re-export the flight by playing back the correspond track file from DCS. If you have frequent crashes when exiting a DCS World mission, I suggest you disable the zip file compression from Tacview exporter menu which can be found in DCS World -> Options -> Special -> Tacview menu.
  24. The harrier 3d model have been added to Tacview 1.7.1. I will try to see what I can do about the Tarawa. You can customize displayed objects by extending the existing database by following the instructions on Tacview website: How to add new 3d models: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/3dobjects/ How to assign them to telemetry data: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/database/
  25. If the terrain type selected in Tacview is either “Auto” or “DCS World”, then Tacview will display any data stored as C:\ProgramData\Tacview\Data\Terrain\DCS World\*.hgt Maybe the file extension was wrong in your case, or the terrain type selected in Tacview was the wrong one? However, displaying SRTM3 terrain for DCS World replays is not a good idea, because DCS World terrain is not exactly like in real-life. For instance, the old DCS Georgia was offset and distorted. Also, in general, all DCS World terrains are “triangulated” to make them more efficient to display during flight. Therefore, DCS World terrain shape is slightly different from real-life. In the end, using SRTM3 data would make the debriefing less accurate. I frequently update DCS World terrain available in Tacview. I will integrate the new Georgia map in Tacview 1.7.1+, as soon as possible.
