  1. Indeed, it looks like a crash in Tacview exporter. Can you share the corresponding track file? Let me know approximately at what time you encounter the crash during the replay Which version of DCS World and Tacview are you using precisely? Which DCS world add-ons are you using aside Tacview Can you share the corresponding dcs.log? (or at least your last log files) This will help me to understand what is going on.
  2. FlyingPhotog When DCS World crash, the acmi files compressed in zip format are corrupted and cannot be opened by Tacview. I am going to add an option in Tacview exporter so you can disable the zip file compression. That way, you will still be able to open it in Tacview after a DCS World crash. Please, note that this option will not circumvent the 10 minutes anti-cheat delay in effect on Open Conflict.
  3. @LeCuvier According to what I can see in your export.lua file, my guess is that one of your two radio programs are “crashing” which is preventing Tacview export script from running properly. I think that the details about your problem will probably be listed in dcs.log file. Please have a look at the Q16 in the official FAQ on that matter: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q16
  4. Distance traveled is calculated, not recorded. The most common problem I could think of is: during network flight, when you are playing back the telemetry of an aircraft suffering from lag and teleportation. Can you describe more precisely the kind of problem you have noticed?
  5. Tacview new editions names Tacview editions names are changing for new intuitive ones! The Free edition is now Tacview Starter The Home edition is now Tacview Standard The Professional edition is now Tacview Advanced The Commercial edition is now Tacview Enterprise These new names are more intuitive and will prevent any confusion between personal and commercial licenses. Nothing else changes: Your product keys will continue to work as usual and Tacview will continue to evolve for the better. There are plenty of great features right around the corner! http://www.tacview.net/features/comparison/
  6. Hans, It looks like DCS World has crashed before the end of the flight, which has corrupted the acmi file. I will add an option so you can disable file compression and still read the file after a crash at the price of a bigger file.
  7. Tips & Tricks Here are some tips to enjoy smoother and even more efficient debriefing sessions: My favorite: MOUSE_MIDDLE+DRAG or ALT+MOUSE_LEFT+DRAG over the 3D view to smoothly and accurately travel in time. You can SHIFT+CLICK on an object in the objects list to go strait to the object spawn point in space AND time if not yet alive. Very handy to jump strait to a missile launch point! RIGHT_CLICK on the button between the selection lists to choose which telemetry is displayed between the two selected objects (like bearing, aspect angle, range…) in the 3D view. The dog-fight button [ + ] centers the view between selected objects. Very handy to smoothly orbit around a… dogfight or a target and its prey. Let’s not forget the full screen mode (double click or ALT+ENTER) to enjoy your squadron online-debriefing on a big screen while eating potato chips!
  8. You are right, I forgot to check all sessions. I think I know what is wrong. I will try to fix that soon.
  9. Knix, The log you gave me shows that the option to generate one file per client was *DISABLED* (recordClientsSessionsEnabled=0). Does this make match the current options you can see in DCS World Tacview control panel on your server? 00044.567 INFO TACVIEW.DLL: Config={dataRecordingEnabled=1,recordClientsSessionsEnabled=0,bookmarkShortcut=0,playbackDelay=600,profilingPeriod=600,debugModeEnabled=0}
  10. Can you share this file? I will check its content.
  11. This one is strange! When you have the time, car you record and share me a short track ).trk) which show this bug?
  12. I was wondering if that was something related to the way DCS is managing objects. For example, as soon as an aircraft is strongly damaged (but not yet destroyed), it is removed by DCS World for the list of exported objects. Maybe this is the same for training weapons. I will check that next time I will do an improvement pass on the exporter.
  13. Thank you Knix, I am going to investigate that as soon as possible. Can you get the same dcs.log files from the server side next time you notice the problem?
  14. When your enable “Create one file for each network client”, the exporter will create one file for each session of each client. Which means that if you have 60 clients joining one game once, you will get 60 files. If one client leaves and comes back later, you will have a new additional file (which gives us 61 files), etc. There are several problems with encrypted files to be de-crypted with a key which is published later: First, we can assume that people are cheating only on public servers. This means that these servers usually do not have a repository (website or shared volume) to share any data like the keys. Also, how could the server be aware of the keys it must share from the exporter? When do we want to share such keys? After each mission? (which may be go from hours to weeks for some servers). Because we certainly cannot share the keys after each client connection… Assuming there will probably be a long delay before the relevant key would be shared (end of a mission for example). When she/he has finally access to the decryption key, the client would just have forgotten about what he/she wants to review… Believe me, this is really a very complex issue to solve. So far, the anti-cheat solution I have implemented is the best one I have found overall.
  15. This is strange. It looks like the bomb released at 21:22:54 as been removed from the battlefield midair. So close to your aircraft that Tacview thinks that you hit yourself with the bomb. I do not know why the bomb as disappeared so early, but the false self hit event will be fixed in a future version of the exporter. As for the rocket, this may be the same issue: It has been removed from the world too early. Maybe a network synchronization issue. Of maybe this is not a but, and a normal behavior of smoke rockets in DCS…
  16. To answer some of your concerns Is an anti-cheat feature necessary? Yes. This is a fact: As soon as you are online, cheaters will always ruin the games of honest players. Just try hosting a public server with full export enabled and no data integrity check and you will quickly notice one person starting to do suspicious tricks with his/her aircraft. At least, the anti-cheat opton will prevent cheaters from using Tacview in such a manner… Why is the Tacview anti-cheat system enabled by default? If the anti-cheat system was disabled by default, it would be much easier for cheaters to find a workaround and disable this protection when it is enabled. Because Tacview assumes that the session should be protected by default, if a cheater was trying to circumvent the system, in the worst case, he/she would still be stuck with the default 10 minutes delay. Better to be safe than sorry... Why 10 minutes by default, not more, or not less? It seems that 10 minutes is a good average which should work well with most servers (for both slow and fast movers). Remember that, if you are the host, you can change this delay if you are not happy with it. Can I disable this delay? If you are the host, then you can! Just install Tacview on your server, and choose the delay of your liking in the dedicated option panel in DCS World. You may want to disable data recording so your server will never be slowed down by the Tacview exporter recording data (even if the impact is low in general). Can we have a 5 minutes delay by default? According to common sense and based on these survey results, 5 minutes is probably too small by default. Nevertheless, in Tacview 1.6 you will be able to lower the default delay to 5 minutes if you want to. It is possible to disable this anti-cheat delay while playing back a track? Because cheaters could use track replay to circumvent the anti-cheat delay, it is necessary to keep the replay protected. However, in a future version of the exporter, the anti-cheat delay will be automatically and appropriately shortened when playing back tracks. In the end, honest players should be happy with the incoming improvement in that matter. Can I record and protect the data directly on my server? Install the Tacview exporter on the server side. Enable the option “Create one file for each network client”. This will create a distinct file for each player connected to your server. Share the root of the folder containing all the generated acmi files on a GoogleDrive or a Dropbox folder. This can be used to: Increase clients’ frame rate (because they do not have to record data anymore). Very handy to reach the holy grail of 90 fps for the VR headsets. Archive all your squadron flights. With a minimum amount of work, I am pretty sure you can delay data sharing on DropBox. Can't you just take my money and make an iPad/Android version? Yes, I am on it. Just be patient, only two more weeks™ left ;)
  17. Please, read the provided documentation. @yufighter Glad to hear it! Did you know that you can store all your Tacview addons in the following folder? %ProgramData%\Tacview\Data\Meshes\ This folder will never move, and all its data are shared between all your installs of Tacview (beta or not) @JaBoG32_Prinzartus This log file shows plenty of errors. This point is discussed at the Q16 of the official documentation: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q16 Assuming that nothing is working in it, your best bet is: Delete your export.lua file Reinstall Tacview 1.5.4 (no need to uninstall it first) This will fix your export problem.
  18. @LeCuvier Thanks for the data! A quick look in the bottom right corner of DCS World multiplayer lobby window can show you if the server has enabled or disabled data export. As we can see in the screenshot I have added to the documentation, http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q21 , BURNING SKIES has prohibited data recording except for your own aircraft. So, the result you are getting is correct. The two solutions are either recording your data from the track file or convincing the server to enable data export… @JaBoG32_Prinzartus DCS World always creates log files (even when it crashes), check again in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\DCS\ or ask Window to find dcs.log* files for you. @Gliptal Try the “Merge” function, it should work and display your static objects in the current battlefield. In Tacview 2.0 I will make it work with drag & drop too.
  19. The bug about French missiles has been fixed in Tacview 1.6 (current or next beta). I am currently in the concept phase of Tacview 2.0. I think that you will be happy with the brand-new UI which will automatically detect who are your team mates and your favorite objects.
  20. @LeCuvier Which MP server where you flying on? What mission was it? Which aircraft did you choose? For each MP flight, DCS records a track file, can you share it so I can reproduce the issue? (should be somewhere in \Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer\ ) Did the server authorize data export? (see Q22 of the FAQ http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q22 ) After reproducing the issue, can you share me the *.log files which can be found in \Saved Games\DCS\Logs ? @Prinzartus Did you check Q16 of the FAQ? http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q16 After reproducing the issue, can you share me the *.log files which can be found in \Saved Games\DCS\Logs ?
  21. Thank you for the logs Mule. The answer to your problem is at the question 16 of the FAQ: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q16 It looks like that your problem is coming from two improperly installed/uninstalled scripts. SimShaker and another one referencing radios. You can either fix theses errors manually, or simply delete your export.lua and then reinstall Tacview (no need to uninstall before). This will fix your issue.
  22. What do you think about the anti-cheat delay introduced for DCS World online games? Fell free to answer the poll! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183101
  23. I would like to know what do you think of the online anti-cheat delay which has been introduced in Tacview 1.5.3 exporter. It is useless, perfect, too long, too short? What is the anti-cheat delay? To prevent people from cheating while flying online, a delay of 10 minutes has been introduced so the last 10 minutes of an online flight cannot be played back in Tacview. That way, bad people will not be able to use Tacview to quickly replay a flight still in progress and sneak behind the enemy lines for free… What do you think of it? Now, I would like to know what you think about this feature in general? Do you find the default delay of 10 minutes appropriate? Do you think the delay could be shorter or longer? Please, feel free to elaborate in this thread. To answer some of your concerns Is an anti-cheat feature necessary? Yes. This is a fact: As soon as you are online, cheaters will always ruin the games of honest players. 24. @Mule Can you reproduce the bug, then exit DCS World and share me the dcs.log and dcs.log.old which can be found in \Saved Games\DCS\Logs\ as well as the acmi file corresponding to this flight. @knix15 I am not aware of the “change map function”. Is it script function or an option in DCS World menu? Can you reproduce the issue, exit DCS World and share me the corresponding \Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log files and acmi file saved on the server? @jarol I am not sure what you mean by that. Actually, there is actually no plan to have Tacview running “inside” DCS World. If you are talking about a more detailed and accurate debriefing in Tacview, then yes, there will be one eventually in Tacview.
  25. Real-Time telemetry in Tacview 1.6 beta 1 Try now the real-time telemetry in Tacview 1.6 beta 1! Want to know how the real-time telemetry will do with DCS World? Try now Tacview 1.6 beta 1. http://tacview.net/download/beta As promised, I am releasing the first public version of the real-time telemetry before DCS World F/A-18 is released ;) Password and port numbers will be configurable in future releases. It will also be possible to prevent real-time data export on your public server except for those who have the right password. Fell free to post any feedback regarding real-time telemetry on this thread. epPKd-xFyLc
