:imxo: HOTAS Options and questions are getting extreme. One of the biggest obstacles for a new player and old is getting the controls right. I am proposing Sub Sections of the Input Forum to dedicate to each Manufacture. Logitech Saitek Warthog Etc Etc I know how to use a search feature but still, why do I have to look through 200 threads about a Warthog when I am looking for information about a diff HOTAS. :joystick::helpsmilie::idea:

LOGIRich - I am in the market for a new HOTAS. Can you tell everyone what the support and setup is like for running DCS Games? Do any prefered install procedures or settings from your labs exist for the X56. The G940 had all kinds of setup things to do in the DCS Game console. Has the process improved? What is it like? Do you have information that would help a first timer or veteran setup the system for Black Shark? Flaming Cliffs? DCS World? This would include but not limited to Game profiles/ DCS Game Settings for each aircraft...ETC. There are some you tube videos about setting up the G940 to work right with different aircraft that was very time consuming and detailed. Its 2018...how has that process improved? Can you tell us or demonstrate it please. Thank you.

The F18c Stick will be made and sold as an ad on Ecosystem Stick for A10c TM users? 2. Will the F18c Stick be sold as a complete separate stand alone HOTAS? 3. Buy a Warthog HOTAS and add the F18c Stick later. Which one? I am wanting to know what HOTAS to buy for F18C with some hope of getting into A10c too. What is the state of affairs with the chinese made wathog hotas? Will there ever be a quality hotas made that fits DCS? WILL IT EVER HAPPEN?

Can you please tell me how you manage that? I am soon getting a warthog kit but figure I should keep the 940 for Black Shark. I would love to know your basic way of swapping . esp since the 940 is so diff.

I mean everything sir. The Hotas Setup and game setup. I guess this advise is true. My advice would be forget the logitech software and just configure everything in-game, it's even easier now you can change controller configs without quitting..... That would be a much different approach than using the guide and the logitech software for Black Shark. Checked out the docs file, ,maybe I should check official docs! Found a controller walk through so I am going to get into that and see what happens. Yes getting old and information has been overwritten!

OK These are different installs and we do not combine them. I think I will concentrate on 1.5 for now and wait until2.0 is sorted and we have official instructions to make the leap up to 2.0

OK so I got a new computer and go to the DCS 1.5 since hey its not Alpha Beta. I load in my modules except for one and think, owell ill let it upgrade to 2.0 Alpha. Now I have two DCS World installs on my desktop and the 2.0 version want me to install all the modules again and I would assume re register those too! I redo OS every 2 - 3 years. My BS activation's are getting low. What would you do? Did I do something wrong?

Some new computers really require the original drivers from the manufacture CD to get up and running right. Manufacture procedure and software needs to be used and followed. Like someone else said, put your flight aside for now. Get a working and tested and stress tested PC again. Then you can start slowly adding other gear to the system. TAKE A SLOW APPROACH AND TEST. This is how the techs do it. You cant just slap everything together and then slap on all kinds of extra hardware and start wondering why. I cant see waiting. Esp when most of my hardware is 3 years old. No major releases planned by video card manufactures. Video card resale value on ebay looks to be very high these days. Why wait?

I am sorry for the tease but will not be able to answer any questions. I have been out of the planes for over a year but have been inspired to get back in after this card install and DCS updated. I went into to FC3 and just hit instant action su27 intercept andshot down a plane and followed some others. I did this with the MSI afterburner program running that you can install and use for all systems. INCREDIBLE. All 3.5 gb of video ram was being used. 2500k usage looked low, pci ver 3.0 MB and My 8gb of ram was at 75% with a bunch of web pages open in firefox. It looked beautiful. I love flying in DCS but time has to be made and I think I will be moving somethings to make the time. using Sony 32inch 2009 model tv 1080p Thanks to the devs, great job!

F15C in latest version flys like crap!! Why? I havent flown the F15 much but did try to get into it a year or so ago and wafun for awhile and then I got too busy and had to stop flying. Im back and got evering setup on a new OS load and the F15 flys like crap. Soon i am spinning out and crashing! Its way too sensitive to fly around and yes i am in Realistic mode. When I fly in the SU27 which I am more familier with and fly most often, I am not having this problem!!!!! I am using a G940 and dont think its the stick. Black Shark 2 is fine on it and the 27 is fine. How should I go about setting things to default for the F15C??? with minimal work or damage to other installs.

I am well into the Black Shark 2 campaign. How responsive is the Logitech game software in game mode. Almost nothing works on the throttle. I ofcourse adjusted axis in game and got it set up. No stranger to that. I did not delete any keyboard inputs. Left them in there this time and have been sticking to game mode lately since time to fly is low. Anyone else with the g940 just using game mode? What should we expect. I have researched and setup the stick correctly, just not sure about logitechs software. I am assuming if I turn it on real these buttons would work. The fire button cycles weapon selection on stick as it should. So some buttons Logitech assigns do work. most others do not. Maybe this is as designed but I wanted to ask to make sure.

Oh my mistake. I downloaded the whole thing 1.2.8 DCS World. My mind was thinking it would see that and upgrade as needed with that. at 13kbs-19kbs this is going to take all year. I do not remember previous updates being so slow. thanks!

I have the downloaded torrent files. Ran the updater in DOS. It LOOKS for files already downloaded and would not find the 4 new update files in the BIN folder, Download folder or the DCS game folder! Just where in the hell is it looking? :helpsmilie:
