  1. I am really waiting for it cause if this happens again something has been broken in the mission... Thanks
  2. You are not listening carefully to your copilot! Firstly the NDB frq is 550Khz, not 500. The copilot tells you 550Khz twice. That is guiding you NW from your location inside Novorossiysk harbour, not west out in the Ocean. Is there a bug? Secondly you HAVE the package (box) loaded when you take off from Perry. It's been loaded to your heli after you leave the General before you take off. It's all clearly descrided in the dialogs. And you shall deliver it to USS Normandy inside Novorossiysk harbour. Please try it one more time and tell me if something is going wrong. Thanks
  3. The amount of units on the map are huge because a medium scale exersise is going on. If some frined lave big fps drops due to them I can lower them a bit if you want As for the kneaboard I do not concider it unrealistic. I mean it's a map that you have plotted before flight the route you are going to fly. It's a VFR tool after all. We all have maps with us when we fly in RL. Unrealistic is the key combination that plots your heli location on the map. Don't use that one. Only the map as VRF tool. Radio beacons are used later in the mission because various tasks arise that were not sceduled before start (in the briefing) so you are not prepared for them and do not know where they are located. The Camp location is known from before flight and as a Good Captain you have your copilot draw on his/yours map the know location on the map. That's a logic method used in RL so that's why I have done it that way. Thanks
  4. I really have no idea. I am a Win7 user and the mission itself was created under Win7. Maybe someone can help?
  5. Well during mission start the copilot informs you that the General's camp is located at WP1, so the easiest way to reach him is to navigate by the waypoints on your kneeboard map! Tell me if it worked, Thanks!
  6. Ok some minor modifications done, please download again if you already have. Thanks
  7. Ok, this is my very first mission, so I apologize for any problems that may arrise in it. I have tried my best so every comment will be gladly accepted. The mission will require some very serious flying skills, particularly spot landings. There is very little room for errors... I say no more... Also paying real attention to your copilot and radio messages will be of paramount importance... I have uploaded in the missions section here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2325392#post2325392 You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g4pwjb2bsdvvekl/Pizza%20Boy.miz?dl=0 Waiting for your thoughts, Hope you enjoy it Thanks

  9. I beleive that's the only way to know. Deviate a bit and see how the needle behaves.
  10. Thanks again! One other question now. How can I home my huey on a unit using the FM receiver? I want to to use it as an action to a Flag but do not know how.. Thanks
  11. Ok Thanks a lot! This is very deep... Had no idea!
  12. Can someone point me where can I find information about what are the flags and how they are used when creating triggers? The manual does not help me much... Thanks a lot
  13. Not exactly... Every given moment one person has the controls (PAC) either the pilot or the copilot. The other not at controls is the PNAC. They swap how often they like but each time only one has the controls. I have hundrents of times in RL as a copilot been ordered to stay in hover while the captain does other things. If I did what my ingame copilit does I believe I would end up flying... Out of my window... Lol
  14. I have noticed a strange thing. While activating the Autopilot level flight while flying the autopilot indeed does a good job in maintaining the level flight. But when you enable it while in a steady hover the autopilot eventualy will pull full aft the cyclic and crash. And the more aft the nose rises the more aft it moves the cyclic. Is this a bug? I mean it does wrong correction while hovering, but in flight it does the correct ones. Isn't this strange? Next thing to discover is from what speed and above works correct and what speed and below crashes. Curious to find. Shall I report this to the bug section?
  15. Well at least that's something...
  16. Yesterday was the second patch release without any uh-1 substantial update... This is sad... Feel neglected... Hopping for more soon...
  17. Sorry, rheostats I meant
  18. Is there any new info from the Dev's about any fix (i.e. working roestates or engine temp implementation) or anything else coming? Improvements are comming veeery slowly I belive...
  19. Part\Portion of the MR blades produce thrust downwards althought not engine powered, due to their twist and other complicated physics. I do not remember the numbers by heart but I belive the internet has a lot more theory if you like to search. Try adding some weight to the chopper and turning up the OAT in the mission editor and see what happens while hover autorotating
  20. Well actualy autorotating without longitudinal speed is not recomended in the first place. Various factors may not allow you to flare in order to touch down safely. Weight, Air temperature, Altitude of the landing site, Atmospheric preasure to name few... The correct teqnique dictates that if you have sufficient altitude you should begin forward flight. But if you still want to try hover autorotating (in DCS because in RL you would eventually get killed...) you can find for yourself the min and max altitude this will work! But bear in mind that the numbers will change as the factors I mentioned in the begining change...
  21. When you setup and test the rift please post your impressions. Thinking to buy it but then I read that they have produced a newer version (codename Crescent Bay) and maybe wait for that one. Thanks
  22. Of course it can suffer from VRS. I beleive every heli can... As far as I know FSX does not support VRS apart from HTR (helicopter total realism) which for it's time was quite good... But Since DCS uh-1 came out, just don't try any other heli sim out there... That's a rule. You will find nothing close to it. Only drawback, the lack of models... But we hope for that in the future
  23. Well that did the trick. So I delete these files permanately? Aren't they needed elsewhere? Thanks
