  1. I don`t think there is a chart like you want it, because it depends on many factors (wind, load, weight, temperature, height of LZ...and so on). The only advice is..practice...do landings in every condition (height, wind temperature..) and get a feel for the Huey..it is simply all about practice..and don`t forget your trimmers..seems like loads of people forget about their trimmer settings during their landings..what can cause serious problems..
  2. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114651 solve Problem 1
  3. hopefully the "die hard" Sim Pilots never find this thread:lol:
  4. ..from the sticky Posting (Notes on 1.2.6) 1. Engine power has not been reduced. However collective control handle “rigging” is altered to better match real collective handle settings required throughout the engine power demand envelope. This is why you are seeing higher collective requirements during takeoff, for example. The engine torque and actual rotor blade collective angles are the same (possibly slightly different as there was some tuning of dynamics as well), but the cockpit handle positioning is what is updated.
  5. In order to get that I guess you have to tweak the input File for the Mouse ..../saved Games/DCS/Config/input/KA-50/mouse/Mouse.lua but I am no coder..so maybe I am completly wrong:)
  6. Hi you have to group the A2A Sites in the ME. seems you put every unit seperatly..therefore they work not as a Team Example: Place a HAWK TR on the map In the 4th Row "Unit" add a second Unit or "Member of the Team" and as type set HAWK SR, then add a 3rd unit and set as Type Hawk LN Now you have one Enemy Unit Group consist of Hawk search / track Radars and a Launcher
  7. known Issue...only Player Aircraft can be seen as slick..AI is always armed. But you know..it is still a BETA:megalol:
  8. I don`t get it..the Hardware Code is something StarForce grabs automaticaly..you don`t have to type it in?!?!?!? I am confused
  9. Hi Sondo, sounds strange...it should work if you have enabled the "Rudder Trim" Option in the Options/Special TAB.
  10. wow Dudes..awesome work here! uhhmm..can I get one with Flames on it...a cool Hot Rod Hip:pilotfly:
  11. please don`t forget..the Mi-8 is in a very early BETA Stage..so lots of work hast to be done by BST
  12. uhm..if you want a slick or unarmend Huey the Task in your Mission has to be "Transport"
  13. Hey ebabil, you did it a bit wrong:) {"civ_uh1_main_dam", 0, "civ_uh1_tkgwc.bmp",false}; remove the red civ_ in your description.lua like {"civ_uh1_main_dam", 0, "uh1_tkgwc.bmp",false}; {"civ_uh1_main_dam", 2, "uh1_spec.bmp",true}; {"civ_uh1_tail_dam", 0, "uh1_tail_tkgwc.bmp",false}; {"civ_uh1_tail_dam", 2, "uh1_tail_spec.bmp",true}; {"civ_uh1_main", 0, "uh1_tkgwc.bmp",false}; {"civ_uh1_main", 2, "uh1_spec.bmp",true}; {"civ_uh1_tail", 0, "uh1_tail_tkgwc.bmp",false}; {"civ_uh1_tail", 2, "uh1_tail_spec.bmp",true};
  14. Skull..first of all you english is fine:) If you want it "real" in Terms of Function yeah..you have to enable the Trimmers, if you want it as real as it can be "Control-movement-wise" without a FFB Joystick (with DCS on the PC) you should disable it...so you have 2 Sides of a Coin.."real" Function of the Trimming System or kind of "real" Movement of your Controls. There is no "that is more realistic"..it depends on you..and what you like better. And the "Central Position Trimmer Mode" is just a little Tool, that kind of simulates the real behaviour of the controls in a real Chopper..it means like in a real Chopper you can release the Trimmer button and let the Stick rest in that Position..no Problems with overcompensation (But Caution: you may loose Control of the Helicopter, because as said before DCS ignores your Inputs..until you re-center!) And Skull...it is very hard to get the real deal with DCS...it is a Computer Game and has its limitations, at least at the controls...the best advice I can give you is..try all the settings an possibilities..and find out what feels best for you:thumbup: And for the generall sense of the Trimmers..it seems like many People are lost with that..but it is realy easy to understand.. Just take your Huey and lift-off...then set it up for a forward flight with 80kts. In order to keep that speed and the height you will see, that you always have to push your cyclic forward a little bit. There the Trimmers jump in. The sense of the Trimmers is just to do that work for the Pilot, and center or "fix" your controls in that Position. So If you do your forward flight with 80 kts...then press/release the Trimmer button, you can take your Hands from the controls, and the Chopper will keep the speed and height (as long as you don`t touch the Collective)..because the Trimmer does your work..it is as simple as that.
  15. uhmm..first Question...what do you mean wit "CIV-UH1 class"?!?! Just assign that Skin to a Huey with the Task "Transport". If that doesen`t work..is the Skin assigned to the Country you want to fly for?! Is it in the right directory (Bazar/Liveries/uh-1h),
  16. Great Post from zaelu, and to make it even more clearer.."Central Position Trimmer Mode" prevents you from overcompensating, because after releasing the Trim Button, DCS ignors all input Signals from your Joystick until you re-center it:joystick:
  17. Hi Skull, you "must" nothing. With this settings you simply come clostest to what you want (move the Controls like in a real Helicopter with a Standard Joystick). But I am not sure whether this is really comfortable to fly..it`s up to you..play around...:joystick:
  18. Hmm..in order to get as close as possible to the "real Thing" with your setup you should do it like PeterP said. Disable "Rudder Trim" enable "center after Trim" and just hold the Rudders in the correct Position..this would become clostest to the real Thing..at least "Motion wise":)
  19. This issue was discussed in an other thread..there was something with an other ADF Sender at nearly the same Frequency that obviously points in a completly different direction as far as I can remember.. Ah..found it http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114180
  20. Hi Skull, in real Life, both the UH-1 and the Mi-8 have Rudder Trimmers. So to make it "real" you should enable them both (in order to get the pure function of rudder trimming). The Problem is...if you don`t have a FFB Joystick or Pedals..the pure physical mechanics differ from Real Life! So at your PC you have to do other things than in Real Life to achieve the same...a trimmed Rudder or cyclic. On your PC you have to center the Controls again, to not confuse DCS (you can fool that behaviour a bit with the "center after Trim" Option at the Special TAB), in Real Life the Trimmer System just "hold" the Controls na..better "center" the controls in the position you to told it to do.. In DCS you can even see how the System works...just look at your Cyclic and Rudders when you trimm. So if you want it as real at it can be, you would need FFB Controls (don`t know whether there are FFB Rudder Pedals out there). Finally we can come to a conclusion..use whatever fits your flying Style best:)
  21. Hi Devrim, many Thanks! But you know, Skulleader was a bit faster:) Thanks again Guys!!!
  22. the Problem is..a usual Joystick does not know that you did some Trimming in DCS..so if you Trimm 10% forward the Game says..o.k. 10% Forward is my new neutral..but if you hold your Joystick in that Position it will keep sending a 10% forward Movement Signal..and DCS says ah o.k. i have to put 10% forward movement to my new neutral Position (overcompensation)..so you end up with 20% forward movement. This is why you have to release your Cyclic right after releasing the Trimmer button! In real life or with a FFB Joystick the Cyclic would just remain in that Position..so no need for centering the Controls..
  23. uhhmm..any Chance somebody uploads that File somewhere...I was too fast to, and copied an "old" Version of the Texture.zip:doh: And I don`t want to repair my DCS and install all Mods again just because of the single Texture File:) PLEASE:)
  24. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1899764&postcount=16 not sure about the Mi-8
  25. Hi, uhmm..not really much Information.. Sim or Game?! Do you use a Joystick?! Rudders?! Are these calibrated corectly (centered in Options/Controls/Axis Setup)?! Have you ever controlled your Inputs with the Control Indicator (RCtrl + Enter), are your Rudder Controls centered at Take-off? Do you Trim your Chopper?! etc etc
