Now that's a surprise. Can somebody else confirm this, please? I don't get that kind of message and can download the mod without any problems.

I've been using his set of texures myself for a while. He did a great job there. Trees are important part of the scenery and they have to blend in with other elements. Otherwise you have an impression that something has been added at a push. Of course, I would love to see Taz's trees adjusted in terms of colours, saturation, etc to match the newest version of the mod. This, however, is a very time-consuming task.

Quite the contrary, Redeye. I released a complete mod yesterday. Now that's weird. I change the season in the mission editor (December, January, February) and that's what I get over Senaki Make sure you choose winter seasons in the mission editor and your terrain textures are set to HIGH in the graphics options.

It must have been snowing high in the mountains last night.

That would be the best approach!

I have already made some changes to those seasons. The mod as a whole is undergoing some changes currently.

Caucasus terrain mod (by barthek) causes red runway markings
Barthek replied to Ace_Flyer's topic in Object Bugs
Cooking some Caucasus ground textures - Page 7 - DCS Mods - ED Forums (eagle.ru) Despite having a fix for those red markings, please hold on using this particular version of the mod. A new version will be available really soon! -
I'll see what I can do once I finish the Caucasus mod.

Thanks for reporting this as I'm not a VR user.

Weird, I thought I took care of the mipmaps properly. Which season were you refering to?

That has already been fixed in my internal WIP version.

This line defines the altitude at which the snow texture starts appearing. Doesn't solve the problem that the sim uses the same snow texture in all seasons.

Thanks Taz, which airbase is that? EDIT: Ok, I know what's wrong with it. Thanks again.

Hello, thank you for your positive comments, I appreciate it. My first aim now is to complete the remaining two seasons. Once I do it, I'll start fine-tuning individual elements, like hangars, trees, buildings, etc. As for the mountains - I wish each season used its own snow texture but that's not the case, so I cannot control the amount of snow on the peaks in winter, spring, etc. Changes applied to that texture will be visible in all seasons.

Ok guys, as promised, here's the newest WIP version of the mod: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rPTkuYYpTa_fs0KzZYMgaN9NPoGJZ0-U/view?usp=sharing Uninstall any previous versions of the mod and use JSGME to activate the current version. It contains spring textures, as well as some major changes to the summer. I managed to slightly improve the look of the hangars and FARP textures as well. I hope, you'll like them. As always, I am looking forward to hearing some feedback from you! Best, Barthek

Yes, winter will have less snow - that's the plan.

There - I've adjusted the contrast of some fields, changed the saturation here and there. Now you should find those nice spring greens adjacent to some brown and yellow vibes. The key was to preserve consistency of the scenery as a whole. I hope, you'll like it. I will upload the new WIP version containing spring and some modifications to summer this evening, so stay tuned! Cheers!

Were you using any other mods before installing this one? Did you install it with JSGME?
-
The textures may seem quite desaturated in some screenshots, as they were taken in the morning in the cloudy weather. I'll experiment with the saturation a bit more and report back with some pics. Cheers, Barthek

I'll see what I can do about it as it is very easy to oversaturate the scenery as a whole too. Balance is the key, as always.
