Hello rmk80, first of all - thank you for this magnificent dynamic mission experience! It has served my squadron pretty well over last few days. I have a question, though. The ground units are now being spawned randomly around the airports that belong to each coalition. This makes them appear in weird locations, like inside the buildings or on top of the roofs (see the screenshot attached). Would it be possible to make the units spawn around certain trigger zones set in the mission editor, to make this less-likely to happen? A trigger zone can be adjusted and placed far from the buildings. Thanks, Barthek

Quite the contrary - it is ED's problem, because the map runs badly even on good rigs. Optimisation is the key word here.

[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
Barthek replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
Khopa, there are no words I can use to express how thankful I am. This is a game changer for me and my folks flying together coop missions. Hats off! -
No changes in fps on my end, too.
-
This has absolutely nothing to do with my problem. With visibility range set to ultra I get superb fps everywhere, except on the carrier, so it is the ship itself causing bad fps. I did a quick test setting visibility to low and it didn't help.
-
Attached, you can find my settings. How come, that at the airport, among so many 3d objects, I get decent fps and in the open sea, the drop is so considerable? Seems like the optimization has been poorly done or you need a NASA computer to run this barge at 60 fps. And yes, I have done all that FXO and metashaders voodoo magic.

i7-9700k, 32 gigs of RAM, GTX 1070. I've got 30-35 fps in the open sea in F-14. Is this a joke?

Hello Miguel, thank you for your reply. This is exactly what I meant in my previous post. I thought that messing around with the mission in the mission editor might have a negative impact on the script. Now, I will basically add some other types of aircraft in the ME. Thanks, Barthek

Hello, I have recently become a huuuge fan of those campaigns and decided to introduce my friends to them and try them out in multiplayer. When generating a mission, I am asked to specify the second playable plane. My question is: is there a way to add another group of playable planes to the script, so that we can fly the combination of, lets say, harriers + hornets + vipers? Thanks, Barthek

Hello, I started working on the spring texture pack, but had to stop because of the poor performance I have with my PC. I have already ordered a new rig and will resume works as soon as I get it. Till that time, please use my summer textures or other great mods made by Starway or Mustang. Regards, Barthek

Thanks for the feedback. I will lower the snow coverage in the next release.
-
Thank you! Stunning pics. I hope I'll manage to finish other seasons soon.

This one should do the job: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607

Lenux, as far as the trees are concerned, I can only change their colour - which I already did. I think the problem with them lies in the model. They basically reflect too much light and, hence, look unrealistic. There is not much I can do, unless ED gives me a hint.
-
Stratos, the pictures you have posted don't show my mod properly installed. These are the stock textures you have there. Make sure you install the mod correctly and report back.
-
Hello, thank you for your kind words. The project will continue, but I cannot give you any ETA now. Once I have something new to share with you, I surely will! Below, please find some screenshots of summer in 2.5.6: Zionid, the problem with snow in the mountains is well known to me. I think the solution is to play with different values in terrain.cfg file - this needs some further testing. Cheers!

Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pwCaNJHSx5cRrHxA8N4i9UflkPzVu2Bf/view?usp=sharing The package is JSGME ready, so just unpack it into your JSGME folder and activate the mod. I hope you'll like it. Remember tho - these are SUMMER textures, so make sure you set summer months in the mission editor. Happy flying, Barthek

Hello, due to the fact that my poor old PC handles DCS quite badly now, the pace of development has greatly slowed down - that's the bad thing. The good thing is, however, that I have managed to complete SUMMER set of textures which I'll be very happy to share with you, guys. So keep an eye on this thread as I am making final adjustments and compiling the JSGME package. It should land within an hour or so. Cheers!

Hello folks, a proof that I'm alive and the project isn't dead: I am still adding more variety to the fields, adjusting tree colours, etc. No ETA yet, but once I have something new to share, I will do so :smilewink:. Cheers!

It is a multiplayer mission. There two hostile JTACs operating in the area - one lasing with 1688 (BLUE side), the second lasing with 1588 (RED side). The planes spawn in air: F-16 and other planes on BLUE side, and JF-17 on the RED side. This is the reason I am looking for the way to set the laser code of the GBU-12 to 1588 (in a config file, or via mission editor).
-
Thank you for your replies. However, I think I was not understood correctly. I don't want to change the laser code of the bomb while being in air. I want to start my flight in air already having a different laser code (1588 as an example) set for my bombs. F-16 has this feature which allows you to change the bomb laser code in the mission editor. Hence, while starting a quick mission in air, I can use a different code to drop GBU-12s (not 1688 as it is now). In one of my missions, I basically want to skip the part where I have to ask the ground crew to change the bombs' laser code. I want it to be already changed to a certain value. Barthek

Hello Deka Ironwork Simulations, first of all - you did a great job with the release of JF-17. It is a great bird to fly. My question is: is there a way to change the default 1688 laser code of the GBU-12 bombs (in a config file, perhaps?), so that I can start in air and immediately use a different laser? I already know how to do it on the ground, but what if I start in air? Thanks for any tips, Barthek

Hello, Perfection takes time. I was still dissatisfied with the results, so I had to start again, from the scratch. I will soon post some screenshots to show where the project stands. B.

Hello, I am after another modding session, here are the results: IMHO, the fields look not that bad now, so I will move further, focusing on the trees and cities. I'll see what I can do. Stay tuned! Barthek

Hello, thank you for your interest in the project. I want to make the Caucasus look as authentic as possible now, hence, I haven't finished editing fields yet. Below, please find the latest results of my experiments, based on the satellite image of the region. Other textures (like trees) have been taken from my last mod, so please disregard them, as they will be changed to match the whole scenery. As you can see, the main focus for me is to get as much detain as possible from the fields, making them look authentic from both - low and high altitudes. Once I am happy with the results, I will move on to other textures. Regards, Barthek
