At a standard 270 kts those F-4's shouldn't have to use burners. This does depend on their altitude however. If they're up high they need a lot of power to prevent themselves from falling from the sky. If you still have problems you can upload the mission here, and I'll have a look at it if you want.

Hello Gents, The past 2 years I spent flying great missions in coop multiplayer and I had a great time. So I thought it was high time to contribute to the amount of missions availible. After a while I came up with Resque Dawn. This mission is set in the Vietnam war time period where you take on the role of A-1 Skyraider pilots. But in the absence of Skyraiders the A-10C will do. **************************************************** You take on the role of A-1 pilots flying standby CAS close to the border. When a friendly F-4 gets shot down behind enemy lines, you are sent there to keep the pilot safe till the resque helo arrives. You have to pay attention, otherwise the incoming enemy soldiers will overrun and capture thim. When this task is complete you will called for a secondary tasking. ****************************************************************** In this mission I advise to use the given loadout, or similar. I did not restrict the loadout possibilities, but for best immersion avoid using guided bombs/missiles and TGP's. You will go up against manually aimed AAA, infantry and the occasional armoured car. Furthermore, unless you go out of bounds you won't have to worry about SAM's. This is a 4 player coop mission. There are 4x A-10C aircraft availible. I have 2x KA-50's standing by and availible, but they are not yet implemented in the triggers. If people do want this I can add that in in the future. Because of the secondary tasking 2 somewhat skilled A-10 pilots could do the mission in one run. If you are conservative with your ammo one plane could do it too, but you might have to do a return trip for ammo. On closing note: I wanted to do something different in a mission. Here you are more flying with your eyes outside of the cockpit instead of flying about at 15000+ feet. I hope you enjoy flying this mission as much as I enjoyed building it. I would like to thank my squadmates from the Rag Tag Air Corps for giving me helpfull feedback and information while creating this mission. Please provide me with any feedback you have. This is my first serious try at a mission and I would like to improve. Good Luck, Dutchy93 A.K.A Ghostrider Edit: In the mission there is one A-10A availible. DO NOT USE THIS ONE. This plane is just for testing purposes. I used this one to trigger everything and check if everything worked. Forgot to take it out though. Will do this when I have more time. Rescue_Dawn_V2-1.miz

Damaged gear which doesn't retract still gives "up" indication.

I can confirm. this happened to me at take-off earlier today. -
I don't know if this is the right section but anyway: I've been trying to get the bombing right using the automatic release but something just doesn't get right here. I fly up to about 10 to 15000 feet, set to bomb, select auto release, select both bombs, line up on target, press electronic cage key, press the Airbrakes and roll in. When I get my pipper over the target I press the bomb release and stop pressing the electronic cage key. So far so good but out of 100 times, a 100 times the bombs drop WAY to early, so I miss my target by 100's of feet. Sometimes allmost a mile! I tried to do this manually (just eyeballing it without any systems, just a pipper) and then I get relatively close. I overshoot but I get somewhat close. Now this is just weird: When I am just in bomb mode, I can fly at low altitude and drop a bomb allmost inside a AC bunker (which means maybe 30 feet miss at most). This is just eyeballing. Now I ask: How can it be that whenever I follow the procedure I don't get anywhere close to target, but when I go low and just eyeball it, I can drop a bomb inside an open bunker. I don't know what but I am missing something here. Can anyone help me with this?

please don't fix this.... I'm gonna have so much fun with this:lol::pilotfly:

I have the same problem in same setup. Though my friend does not have said problem, with me the RWR just gets stuck in the "lock" tone.

I've had this problem with both training missions, single missions and multiplayer. I click on the cockpit close rod...thingy but it won't come down. Keybind is also not succesfull. After respawing/reloading mission this issue may be resolved, but no 100% fix. It may be worth noting that this does not happen every time but just very often. Say 60-70%. I'm sorry if this has been reported already.

Looking forward to it! Very nice video and music. Day1 buy here!

I used to fly the 109 a lot in IL-2 1946 and I rarely saw anyone shoot over 300m. Usually you would shoot when he was about 200 m away. Not much further or you would have a hard time hitting anything. I'm wondering why I can't just change the gun convergence. I've read that pilots could train their guns to their own liking (just don't quote me on that).

Very cool video!

This is a very cool vid. You can see a lot of effort is put into this. Keep it up!

Damn Awesome!! Well done!

Just take it one step at a time. I don't really know how to make a digital airplane, but I know that it will take a long time. And personally, I don't mind if you never get around to creating a full Clicky cockpit. If you don't get further than Flaming Cliffs level, than so be it. Just the fact that you are trying to create your own version of this plane speaks for itself.

I didn't read anything on IRIS, but their subforum was deleted... So I guess that counts as official to me.

Thats a nice kill you got there mate! Besting a fighter in a mud mover is a pretty nice feat!

Friday April 25, 2014 Development Update – Taking Flight
Dutchy93 replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Personally I think the greater challenge will be the landing. A lot of pilots smashed their planes in the ground because they couldn't get the landing right with that thight landing gear. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone trying to land only to end up upside down. Would be a good laugh though :pilotfly: -
Thankyou sir!

Ok, this is good to know. But what is the RSBN/PRMG? I haven't heard of it before. I thought that GCI was indeed a operator talking you in the right direction towards the enemy while you were hugging the ground. Untill someone posted a pic of the LAZUR I thought there was some sort of datalink controlling needles in a gauge guiding you towards a target. Well this takes care of the confusion. Thanks for your reply and keep up the good work

TBH I hated it at first. It was fast yes, but you couldn't get it to turn if your life depended on it. And it threw so much smoke out the back that you didn't need radar to find it. But after a while I started to like the F4 more... The way it looks, how it performes (for the time) how it helped shape the air forces today. It's the versatillity that makes it such a interresting plane. You need to clear the skies, give it some missiles. Need a target to be destroyed, strap some bombs under it. It's just one of those planes, like the MiG21 that starts to grow on you. You hate it at first but when you read about it and look at it enough you can't help but to love it!
-
I think you get my point. You've made yours, he has made his.... Lets call it a day. ok?
-
Not going to attack defenseless targets anymore.
Dutchy93 replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Multiplayer
Although I fly a fighter a lot and I shoot down mud movers every now and again, it is not a real challenge. You fly in, shoot your missile, get the kill with a bit of luck, watch him crash, rinse repeat. If it is a part of the mission I don't mind. But if I am in a server and I encounter the same poor bastard a few times in a row without any opposition, I kinda get bored and just fly next to em. He has to fly all the way over to his target area just to get killed by a lone fighter without any support. It's no fun for him as he gets splashed whenever he gets close, and it is no fun for me because splashing the same guy is no real fun. But don't call me a coward because then I'm coming for ya! XD -
I would love to see a F4 in DCS to fly against the 21, and I would support the devs who would be willing to create it. But how about we wait till this project is finished before we start about a new one. I for one would like to see this project finished before I start thinking about a new plane. Lets just wait and see what happens. And for the serious guys out there (on the immature posts)... Cmon, the forth poll option was just a joke. Lets keep our heads cool and keep smiling before we all change into grumpy old cats :P

I looked at the cockpit pics and was completely blown away. You guys do a really good job. But I remember a post stating that GCI was going to be implemented, but I don't see the gauge for it in there. Is this going to be implemented or did I miss anyting? Whichever is decided, I completely support this module!

Hear Hear! And remember: There is no such thing as a dumb question! (Unless you ask for release dates... The answer to that is simple: When it's ready) If you know some of the basics, just go online and meet up with people on teamspeak etc. I know from experience that learning to fly a plane and all its systems is way easier if you have someone next to you to talk you through it. Also check module specific subforums. There are a lot of tutorials around.
