  1. Hi, Here is a bug report to help track and fix. Reproducible: 100% Sim version: 2.5.4.29167 Open Beta Mission: Any with tacan or waypoint to compare headings Steps to reproduce: 1. Point nose directly to tacan station or waypoint 2. Observe absolute (not the number but the place of the caret) heading on HSI and HUD 3. Caret says tacan or waypoint is directly ahead 4. Change heading to true on HSI settings 5. Caret now says tacan or waypoint is no longer in front of the aircraft but to a side Problem: Both HSI and HUD are not geographically and space fixed, they change depending on setting true or magnetic. Track: attached. Desired behaviour: Setting magnetic or true heading should only move the compass rose to the corresponding side to show the pilot the desired heading but it should not change where things are in space. Please note that the MAP also suffers from this bug. Thanks ED. HSI + HUD headings bug.trk
  2. Hi, has this ever been reported? I find it impossible to land on a pitching deck during hard wheather conditions. See this example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5HKQaP5ut8
  3. thank you baltic, I love your work and these missions are really very useful.
  4. Hi, the TAG marked has nothing to do with the bug reported. Clearly the mod didnt take the time to read nor watched the track like I did to post this. The bug is for hostile not frnd.
  5. Hi, the new "two way identification" system (awesome by the way) has a small bug. Track attached. Description: Only one donor with FF option DISABLED still provides hostile identification when ownship IFFs. Expected: If FF is disabled the link must not take into account donor information for IFF. Hope it helps. New IFF system donor bug.trk
  6. "Hi everyone, This bug is not only still present but also not acknowledged despite having many tracks. What can I/we do to help identifying and fixing this one? Please let me know if another track is needed"
  7. thanks for the video I have high hopes for the harrier
  8. I feel the same, but there are many pages without function for now that I suppose are necessary for the excellent training missions that you do for this module, hopefully some will be implemented soon now that seem to accelerate things here (I hope).
  9. Hi, I think I came accross an ECS bug. Turning OFF the bleed air doesnt cause loss of cockpit pressure. If you open the canopy and close it again while having bleed air off even causes the pressure to drop again. Track attached. ECS bug.trk
  10. Wags, I could not find any thread with this issue reported. It is still present in current OB and havent seen any comment on whether it is going to be fixed or remain that way for some time. Would you be so kind to let me know if it will be fixed in the short term? Sorry for being pushy, this is a game breaker for me during close encounters.
  11. Ok wags, I didnt have that info to be honest, good to know there is more than one auto mode. Do yoy know if we will be able to interrogate during STT? Right now if you lock someone during a dogfight you cant interrogate manually, you have to drop the lock. Thanks for dropping by
  12. So the thread was labeled "correct as is" but as a matter of fact it isnt. I hope Mover could jump in here to clarify this so we can all enjoy the proper implementation. Beamscanner also confirmed that the L&S is always automatically interrogated no matter if the AZ/EL setting is in manual mode.
  13. Yes, of course, make sure of that.
  14. Hi Rain! Please note I clarified that I was aware of what you are saying, this is a different topic. The real hornet performs a mode 4 interrogation despite the setting being in manual mode like in DCS now, so it should be corrected as such to reflect correct behaviour during manual mode. Appreciate very much your reply.
  15. Hi, I'm aware of the current manual mode 4 interrogation in the hornet due to the automatic mode setting being in the AZ/EL page which is not implemented yet. However, in the real hornet when pilot commands STT, the CIT (combined interrogator transponder) automatically performs a mode 4 interrogation as a logic to avoid FF despite being in manual mode. This is not the case in the current open beta as shown in attached track, so when you command STT, the SA page still shows the L&S with a star symbol but with an ambiguous yellow HAFU. Hope track helps identifying the issue. Thanks as always! IFF STT Bug.trk
  16. Datalink off + Tacan off "Hi, I noticed the datalink still functions when turned off if the tacan is turned on. Is it a bug or correct as is? Thanks"
  17. MIDS/TACAN Frequencies Hi, I'm confused about the last two mini updates. The only thing the filters do is decrease range due to centerline external tank which obstructs LOS when lower antenna (no filter) is in use. But Link16 SHOULD NOT be affected just because someone is transmitting (i.e. a tanker set in ME with 27X) in a filtered freq. It would only be affected if the aircraft TUNES said freq in UFC. Hope this helps clarifying the feature a bit more, thanks and great work on the hornet as always!
  18. I also had problems to designate the laser with the TPOD
  19. please love for the harrier now
  20. Hello I have problems to use it when I put the plane on the runway, if I appear in the air it works but it does not let me change the laser code, something is wrong here after the update.
  21. Wags, you cant imagine how much I appreciate you replying to this. However I feel too much attracted to asking you if Im correct by saying that the mavericks at least should provide range without the need of a TGT considering all previously stated. thanks a ton
  22. Hi guys, 1st- The a10c and the hornet have the same terrain elevation database (DTED in the hornet and DTSAS in the hog). 2nd- The hornet doesnt even have AG radar and lacks of AGR (ranging) and CCIP works fine. The hornet has lots of systems in a "cheat" state so that others can work without issues. So im 100% that the lack of GPS altitude not being simulated is not the issue here. Only Wags knows why the hornet cant do this. Im sure the real one can, but they could not simulate it due to classified information. BUt would be nice to confirm this anyway.
  23. "Yes, as far as the HARM concerns you are right, but that doesnt explain at all why the Mavericks in the a10c can do it and the Mavericks in the hornet cant. What I would like to know is, why if both platforms have digital terrain elevation data, LOS and GPS altitude should be more than enough to build range for different weapons. GPS alt + LOS + Digital terrain elevation data is all whats needed for this. Still, the hornet cant do it, and Id love to know if its due to a real life limitation or a DCS fail/lack of information classified."
  24. Hi Wags, I've been dying for a month to understand something and you just talked about it. I hope you dont mind me asking, and surely Im not looking for a classified information you cant provide but just a mathematical insight. Why is the hornet not able to determine range using LOS with the DTED just like the A10c does it using LOS with the DTSAS? Both planes have digital terrain elevation data but the a10c can compute range with the LOS even with the Mavericks. Even the TGP knows coordinates and range based on LOS when the laser is off. What is the difference between both systems that makes the hornet unable to know range in HARM and Maverick (the mavs in the hornet need a TGT to "know" range)?
