  1. Trees visibility preload distance is far less than the set up and going much slower. Something is wrong with the object preload.
  2. +1. GTX 660Ti. With Hotfx 2: no problem, with Hotfix 3: shuttering.
  3. Almost all feature is better in 1.5 than in 1.2, only the engine smoke is looking weaker. The 1.2 engine smoke was very realistic.
  4. The rotating clouds is a very old issue since the very early DCS or Lock On series. A kind of trademark of this series.
  5. DCS 1.5, MiG-21bis, BETAB-500, F6 screen causes permanent game crash. DCS 1.5, MiG-21bis, game replay, F11 view, aircraft ran off from the runway and crashed (the plane, not the game), however, it did not happen during the live flight.
  6. I don't know is it a DX11-related issue, or not, but here is the other thing with the blur (I put it on another thread, but this is the merged one): The heat blur effect is blurred the plane parts from the front point of view, not just from behind. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=148828
  7. This is what I am really looking for :)
  8. Geforce GTX 660Ti, driver is 347.25.
  9. Yes, same as mine. Lets merge these two threads.
  10. Adjust heat blur effect a little - blurring from the front side of view of the plane The heat effect is improved, but this is blurring the plane not just behind, but from the front point of veiw. Somehow it should be blurring only through the gas flow, a little bit wider than the exhaust flame, but covering it, until the two flow mixing and join together. Behind the plane by a few meters.
  11. Interesting. On my PC this is not like on your photos. And below 95% rpm, the smoke is out. The smoke on my MiG-29 is appeared only between 95-100%. However, could you please show me photos about the Su-27 or F-15 as well? These planes are totally "lost" their smoke.
  12. But this is far from the real one. The previous version was quite realistic, this is not.
  13. New engine smoke I understand that the engine smoke is re-defined, I understand that the yellowish smoke is created for the min reheat/AB lit on/off because it is correct. But where is the stadard darker engine smoke especially for the MiG-29? Please set back the dark continous engine smoke for all planes (level is similar as previous, depending on aircraft types) and keep this new one as well. That would be nice.
  14. On some skins the numbers are missing, the object is invisible at the part of the numbers.
  15. Engine smoke for MiG-29 was far better than this new one. The lack of engine smoke is my only problem with this new edition.
  16. Don't panic! the first install was went onto the VT Root / Harddisk folder. I dont know why. But I tried it and worked well :)
  17. I tried it again. Now I only have 75Mb free space on my SSD :) This open beta is going up somewhere, but where?
  18. I have an invisible open beta. It is keep its own place on the SSD, but actually did not go there. I have no idea where is my dcs 1.5 open beta.
  19. The ChR, or Emergency Afterburner is driven by the NR-44 Additional or Extra Afterburner Feed Pump. The two main feed pumps are the NR-54 for the Idle to Maximal, and the NR-22 for the min to max reheat. So the NR-44 is only for a certain regime, when all specified parameters are together. The inlet pressure is given, the speed is less than supersonic, the pressure altitude is less than 4000 meter and the time limit is 3 minutes. The switch on speed is somewhere higher than 380 km/h, depending on the ambient pressure. The Tumansky R-25-300 engine's big achievment is the increased air mass flow and the compressor pressure ratio. You don't think on big numbers, because the high pressure ratios such as 28-33 of the modern engines simply just did not exsist at that time. The predecessor R-13-300 has pK ~8.6 and app. 60 kg/sec mass flow, while the R-25 has an upgraded first stage LP compressor (21 wider chord blades instead of the 24 narroer ones), so it has pK 9.8 and 68 kg/sec air mass flow. This improvment was enough to increase the max dry thrust from 49 to 51 kN and the max AB thrust from 65 to 75 kN. But here is the ChR regime's big benefit. When all required parametes are in together and the ChR switch under the throttle is turned up, the NR-44 starts to push the extra fuel to its own dedicated sprayers and the thrust is starting to increasing up to 97kN. It is quite big, since in this point the MiG-21bis has an almost 1:1 thrust/weight ratio. The DCS MiG-21bis afterburner animation is a little bit wrong. The engine flame for the R-25 is normally closer to the AI planes than what Leatherneck did. But when you lit on the Emergency Afterburner, the flame does not change. This is not correct and you can see how the ChR is looking when it is turned on. ${1} The solo take off and the solo flight (during the min radius turn) used the ChR.
  20. An F-14B (GE F110 engine) demo with full AB takeoff. Rare, because, normally, they ignited it after the take off.
  21. Check ALL of these videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/BurnerAirDisplay/videos Power, noise and beauty.
  22. C-101 is flyable, but the game is crashing. But when you choose it as AI, the right elevator is missing from the model.
  23. The TVC nozzles are incorrect, moving all around like a 3D one. The real Su-30SM (as the MKI/MKM/MKA too) has two 2D vectored nozzles working up and down, with 32 degree turned pivot axis. Up/out and down/in. These two TVC nozzles together are able to working parallel, or independently, to provide the accurate real 3D thrust vectoring control. By the way, the video is great.
  24. Some high angle of attack maneuvers, post-stall flight, etc...
