  1. Cheers mate, that did the trick! Just one question: I'm a bit new to DCS and all these jury-rigs that seem to be required at times to, eh, make it work. So, should I delete the uh-1h file made by Esac and replace it with the original when the next patch comes out, or should it work?
  2. Agree with hegykc. Give it a rest, it's not the end of the world. It's not some BF4 trailer, it's something made by and managed by one guy, who is already quite busy with other things, so it's just quite reality detached to expect him to give up sleep to get it out a few hours earlier. The time this could possibly be delayed is nothing compared to what everybody's already been warned that DCS WWII might be delayed, so if you can't stand this, the actual subject of the film will probably turn into a torture like nightmare for you :)
  3. Came to think of a more recent example: If we want to look at a WW2 plane or ship today, in person, which are there more of: Those that got shot down/sunk and are at the bottom of the sea, or those that survived the war and were left at the mercy of growing old? Personally, I can literally speaking only think of two WW2 era ships that are still possible to see without diving gear, the USS Missouri and the HMS Belfast. There's probably a few more, but even compared to those that were sunk in relatively accessible depths, they're bound to be outnumbered. Long story short, growing old at the mercy of the military that's operating it is more dangerous to any military vehicle than being blown to bits/sunk/shot down/crashed if it actually wants to stay around.
  4. I actually disagree. Sure, now it's gonna be flown off to some base, and maybe restored, maybe not. Either way, in the end of the day it will be phased out and completely wrecked and recycled most likely, with absolutely nothing of it remaining. If it'd been left up there, it'd have sort of become one with nature and been left in place for generations to come. Just like with medieval weaponry and armour, most of what we have to look at isn't what made it home from the battlefield, but what was left behind.
  5. The F86 has? But I thought the gossip was that it was Belsimtek that was planning to make it?
  6. Don't quite know what it's called, but the Australian skins are sort of misplaced. The paint is in the wrong places so to speak, e.g. the camouflage is on the rotor blades instead of on the fuselage, the flag is inside the exhaust, etc.
  7. Did you flip the switch on the backside of the sight?
  8. A flare gun would be awesome and rather quick to make I believe, but other than that I'd rather they wait with more weapons and focus on other things like implementing working radios, IFFs, etc. The shooting is after all only such a small part of flying the P-51.
  9. Belsimtek do great things, so why should they limit themselves to only doing helicopters? They've done 2/3 of all helicopters available for DCS, so I don't see any harm in them doing jets, especially not the Saber. It's about time a jet is introduced into DCS in which the weapons systems isn't the most advanced and hard to learn feature about it (I'm looking at you A-10 and SU-25). I'd much rather Belsimtek fill the void of a relatively low tech jet than just make another helicopter, and that's from someone who almost never flies anything else than Belsimtek products.
  10. When planes don't have a very long time on station, but helicopters do, like with the Russians in Afghanistan.
  11. Basically, when I try to turn up the light for the intrument panels using the reostates (the 2x4 knobs you turn on the upper console), only one of them works, and it regulates the lightning that is supposed to be done by the other 7.
