  1. I did further testing based around wind direction of 39 and 219 degrees and wind speed of 11knots. It seems that Hawkinge is main problem of the few fields I tested. It does not change with wind speed or direction. It also showed that windspeed needed to get to 9knots, to get AI to change takeoff direction (The Channel changes with 6 knots). I tested 2 planes (1 takeoff from runway and another from parking spot) just in case there should be a difference. I tested the following strips: Hawkinge and Lympne; Kenley and Biggin Hill; Tangmere and Ford; Brazeville and Lantheuil in France and Detling and Manston All except for Hawkinge and Kenley were consistent with wind changes. Hawkinge did not change at all and always took off in the Southwest direction. Kenley was strange, in that it always held takeoff direction to Northwest (approx 300deg - crosswind) with wind speed from 0 wind to 20 knots and with wind direction set at 39deg - main runway is 21/201degree heading. However, when wind direction was set to 219deg the AI tookoff in the correct direction to the NNE, once speed was set to 9knots. 2. I had done at 6 knots, as I understood that 5 knots was the point at which it would react.
  3. AI will only takeoff in 1 direction. Switching wind direction does not alter their direction. I tested on Hawkinge and Lympne.
  4. Seeking some clarification. Just building a small mission on the Normandy map and was trying to get an AI Spit to take off from Hawkinge in the northerly direction. However, they always take off in the opposite direction. I have tried to change wind direction and speeds but nothing alters the takeoff direction of the AI. Is this just something that the AI will only ever take off in a given direction for an all strip or even a given strip, or can I be possibly doing something wrong?
  5. Ok thanks for the info. Also didn't realise the 109 was produced that late.
  6. I am trying to build a small mission for the Spitfire on the Channel map for a time period of mid 1942 which is when I think it was being introduced. I placed the Spit but when I tried to place a 109 on the channel map I could not see it to select as an opposing force. When I changed to 1944, I could see all the different planes. Am I doing something incorrect or is this an issue? I thought the map was meant for 1940-45.
  7. Thanks for info. For your example - I would be wanting monitor 3 as primary windows screen and monitor 2 (as 2nd monitor) for the DCS screen. Just forgetting monitor 1 was there as it's a 2monitor setup.
  8. I am considering getting a 2nd monitor to show DCS on. Current research seems to be showing what I want to do as being problematic for me. Currently on Windows 11 and have a 2K monitor. If I go with a 2nd monitor it will need to be on my left and I would like it to be the non-primary. I also want to leave the primary, working as it does now with the taskbar and all that stuff so that I can use Discord and office docs for references whilst on DCS on the non-primary monitor. Does anyone know if this is possible to achieve?
  9. yes Secondary Shadows with deck lights I think is the issue. Thanks for input
  10. Yep thanks. I was aware of that but just i've never bothered with running a special tab in Nvidia for DCS. I have done so now and tied different settings. Also have tried various settings in DCS using the Custom Save buttons to compare. No change has made any difference in any way to what I see - disappointingly. So I just have accept that it is a case of "it is what is" and get back to flying.
  11. OK thanks. I will look at them more. I have never run a special DCS setting in Nvida for DCS. Just left Global settings handle things. Silverdevil, do you mind me asking what GPU you run?
  12. I ended up changing those settings and they made no difference. Even tried the different types of AA and that made no difference either.
  13. Ok I looked at settings. Within the Anti-aliasing the only differences are Gamma Correction being "ON' for me and the DSR-Factors and Smothness being 'OFF' for me. Also Low Latency mode is 'OFF' for me So not a lot of differences. I don't understand a lot of this stuff. Are any of those worth changing?
  14. Ok will check those out. I have never done specific settings for DCS in the Control Panel and have just used the default global setting. I have attached a short video obtained via Nvida app - 1st time I have tried that. It shows the shimmer and jaggies on the wing shadow and at last minute I panned up to the horizon. The water drops are a bit harder to see but are very evident in my monitor. Best seen from middle and to left of shot. You do not get full impact unless you display in full screen. 15. Ok I have attached a few files. I did not know how to export a file to detail Nvidia settings so I have done 'snips' of the panel (3 shots). Also included a screen shot that shows jaggies on shadow along with 2 shots of what I described as water droplets. Both from inside the aircraft and also outside. dcs.log
  16. I started to do some outside screenshots. However, I noticed a lot of jaggies and maybe shimmering on the shadow of wing so went looking for reasons/solution but have not found any yet. I also noticed that the clouds on horizon seemed to have almost what looks like water droplets - that's all I can describe them as. I have attached track. What I have found is that when I change the time of day just enough to take the deck lights of the carrier out of play the shadows crisp up and are no longer the ugly jaggies. Same goes for the cloud issue. Is this just a limitation of the sim. Or is it a bug. Or maybe there are some settings that could help overcome the issue. GPU is RTX4070TI. 17. Agree. It's not working - at least for clients. Server owner does have scores etc.
  18. Hi NineLine Attached is simple mission with 2 trains. 1 is no trigger and other is triggered. As host I can see both but other players do not see the triggered train. Test Train Spawn.miz
  19. Hi Nineline It is still an issue in MP (Stable Ver.) in certain conditions, at least it appears so on the Normandy map. What we have found tonight is that when a train is spawned via a trigger the train is not seen by players, other that server host. When placed at mission start the trains are seen by all.
  20. Ok now I have terminology correct being the - Holdback Bar -, it's not just a graphic as when it appears in the hook up area and if you do not notice it it causes your plane to buck and carry on and then explode. After I worked out what was causing it I always look for it 1st. It does not seem to happen for MP host (I think) but does for others. It always seems to be be after initial spawnings and then after a respawn it seems to disappear. Ok so thread is marked as 'missing track file'. So while I have used DCS for many years a track file is not something I have ever got into. Is it a simple thing and can anyone in MP session do it or does it need to be the host?
  21. Been seeing the bar (while in MP) which I think might be called the Load Transfer Bar, stuck in the chute upon mission load. Has been the case for many months now. If I try and hook up, the aircraft bucks and explodes. It seems to disappear after a time but does preclude the chute from being used. I have only seen it in either 1 or 2. I feel it is a bug but not sure. Is anyone aware of this?
  22. Yes I have had that a couple of times recently (maybe in last 6 weeks, in Stable Version) in MP both times on Cat1 but not sure if there 3 or 4 of us in mission. Soon after mission start the artefact was in place on Cat 1. When I got to it, my aircraft bucked and blew up (only dawned on me after the fact). After selecting new slot no issue. Also no one else in mission came across it.
  23. No not a repair. Just went into modules screen for sim and deactivated Vaicom.
  24. Yes but needed to also remove installation from modules I think.
