I totally agree with your statement. I own a TM Warthog, and imo this stick doesn't need any dead zone or even curves. I'm saying, because i tried...and result was worst :smilewink: Only for helicopters, i can set a small/slightly S curve to the pitch and roll, just to help a bit.
-
Ok, i understand now :) Didn't know all those specifications...and that makes sens. I'm really loving all the modules i bought so far, only the 25T was a notch down at first try. But i guess time, learning and tons of practice will tell. That's really good news if they plan to release 6DOF for the 25T  Other question: is there any English cockpit for it around? Or can i use the mod for the 25A?
-
Hi, Just tried the free SU25T, and was very surprised of its FM in regard of the SU 25A module... Aren't they supposed to be same global plane, but different variant? The SU 25A is much better handling in any situation IMO... is it because the T type doesn't have advanced FM? (because free) I think i will not stick to this one...kind of desapointed...and the no 6DOF factor will not help either.

Thanks number 3 for your attempt helping me...but i figured out why it wasn't launching! We just have to press the trigger longer than guns! (at least more than 2 seconds) It is not mentionned anywhere BTW...even in tutorial videos i watched... Thanks again, i feel kind of stupid now :music_whistling:
-
Hi all pilots, New to the SU 25A, i've readed all i could read (maybe not enough?) but i still can't launch my air to ground laser missiles  - i select air to ground mode - i switch to my laser missiles pods - i turn on my laser green light - i press enter once target in middle of sight (and can adjust the aiming) - but my orange light when launch requirements are met NEVER light! --> and pressing the trigger is a no go... What did i missed please? :helpsmilie:

:music_whistling: :megalol: Hey, so i guess it's you too! (Josh Echo) :) Let me some time to get my hand on this sim, and i'll try your realistic view mod  Thanks!

 Right! I'm close to your steps...got the TM Warthog, and downloaded DCS!...now have 4 modules... Will probably get the A10C though. Just to know if i can manage the complex things :D And anyway, i now have this plane stick! So it's obligation...to get the plane :smilewink:
-
Perso, i'm having a blast with the MI8 actually :) The Huey too, very agile in regard of the MI8. I even can land it better than the big MI8. I need to buy the first BS before buying BS2...that's probably why i will wait....for the moment. Why skeeping the A10C, if i may ask??
-
Pffff...SORTED OUT!! Just had to delete the TIR5 "zoom view" affectation, in axis commands... Can't believe it was so simple :megalol: Sorry for this stupid thing :D
-
SU25 Frogfoot is my next module for sure! :) and it will be my first jet plane! lol I'm keeping the A10C for later on, when i will be more familiarized with all DCS world features and modern avionics and modern weapons. A10C should be the cherry on the cake :smartass: Surprisingly, you are right...at first, i never thought i could be able to cold start the MI8 by myself, taxi it to the right track and take off for any flight, and then land back with the closing procedure without crashing myself  But the tutorials are so well done, the task was easier than i thought, and in 2 days of hard work, i start the beast and fly it like if i was a long time MI8 pilot (almost)... I always dreamt of flying helicopters, and DCS made the dream comes true! And what a flying model!! :pilotfly: (i'm in love with the Huey too!)

Yes Mastiff, OS Win8 64 bits. Thanks for the tip, i'll try soon  EDIT: still doesn't work, even TIR moved out of programfiles...
-
Thanks guys, but still no joy...tried plenty settings without success. Always working when TIR is paused  I'm really stuck with this issue. That's the only plane wich gives me such trouble...
-
Ok Mastiff  So i'm not alone, and it seems like a known bug? Srangely some people doesn't have it...
-
Hi, Don't really know if that was reported, but with latest update 1.2.6.18933, there is now the pilot stick red button not moving with the stick  The red button is staying fixed/stucked on screen while moving the pilot stick. Hope you'll fix it soon  PS: i can try to post a screen shot if needed.

Hi all and devs, Just wanted to say THANKS so much for this fantastic simulation  Long time simmer, started with Red Baron 3D, Microsoft Combat Simulation, IL2 Forgotten Battles - 1946 - CLOD - then Rise of Flight for years now, but never thought to download and try DCS... What a mistake! Maybe because it was about modern planes...anyway, now i own the Huey, the MI8, and the fantastic P51. And have to say i NEVER had such a fantastic flying experience on computer!! :) Have yet to try the SU25 Frogfoot, and probably the A10C (maybe to complex for me actually) but mastering those few modules i already own will take so much time! (as it could be in real in fact!) So again, THANKS for all your hard work on this, everybody involved here, for this awesome flying experience

Hi, Gave a shot with the free DCS plane, but i have major issue in it  I can't zoom or unzoom like in others planes EXCEPT when i desable/pause my TIR5! When TIR5 is active, the zoom buttons i've mapped just don't work at all... I have readed somewhere that i should desable all TIR5 zoom command in the commands tab option of game, but i have nothing mapped in the TIR5 column! With TIR5 active, my default view is stuck close of HUD, and it's just unplayable :(
-
Sorry guys...that was it! I had to press 3 times  Beeing a newbee is a hard work :P
-
Hi, It seems i can't bail out of my P51... Normal procedure is to eject canopy, and then hit whatever key assigned for bail out? I've mapped "enter" to bail out, but it doesn't work :helpsmilie:
-
Well i could have tested by myself :D setting a nice straight level flight with 0 wind and apply full MAP/RPM...read the speedo...decrease slightly RPM...read again, and same for MAP. Untill i reach the best max speed (wich as you said might be all full)
-
Thanks guys, and to Echoe38, the discussion link start to enlight my wondering  Seems that starting a dogfight, best is to keep full RPM and just adjusting the throttle for manifold pressure. Have to watch out my temp gauges too, cause i broke few engines already... I also may try to switch off auto coolant and oil, to see if any better. What about settings for max speed straight level flight? Also full RPM?
-
I'm also interested in this! :)
-
Hi all, Making my hand on the P51 lately, was wondering what could be the best dogfight settings for RPM/manifold gauges... Moving the propeller RPM throttle, it affect my manifold gauge, and inverse too. So what could be the best RPM in regard of manifold gauge? (assuming to not overpass the red line) May sounds stupid, but i'm new to DCS...so sorry for that!
-
Well, i can look around the plane with mouse moving when in F2 view here (default settings). Scrolling the middle mouse button, i can zoom/unzoom. Don't know about F4 though...i think you can't as it's the following view.

Next DCS (European) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Fifi replied to Busterbvi's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Really? Didn't know that!...that's a shame. I saw Razbam 3rd party had a Mirage 2000 on their work table for some time, but can't find any further information on it. Even though i would much prefer the old Mirage III, a Mirage 2000 could be fun too! :music_whistling:
