Hi all, Is there a way to get a kneel board dedicated page (only 1) for all the airfields frequencies? Just to avoid searching through all pages, and not using F10...
-
Thanks so much Hamblue  That did it, and it works as intended now! I don't know why game didn't recognise those slew axes by default when pluggin my Warthog...all others axes/buttons were recognised at first though. Also was stupid not searching in axes inputs...so many settings! EDIT: Not that easy to fine tune the slew control sensitivity... With your settings above, the little square dot is almost uncontrolable! With stock curve, it's still way too sensitive and fast. Had to reduce Y to 70, no dead zone, and curvature of 35! Now i can put the square almost where i want.

how to turn off labels for allies but on for enemies?
Fifi replied to PythonOne's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Thanks a lot Suchacz and Zaelu! Exactly what i was looking for  Ground targets are still very hard to find for me without labels, but stock labels are quite big/ugly. This will bring an other dimension to my DCS, untill i could definitely turn them off! -
Just tried it into 2 others USB with no more success...thanks though :( Yes i have synch hotas at start, and no FFB set. By default, no one TM Warthog button assigned to the slew... Yes i have TIR5 from long time, and i agree it's awesome :)

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Fifi replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks so much for this mod! Was at first sceptical, but after try and tests, have to say it's again a must have one  Great work. -
Hi, Bought it few days ago, and have to say i'm stunned!! :surprise: What a level of details, fonctions, features! The use of both MFCD, and the IFFCC combined with the UFC seems endless!! Never ever saw such complex features modelised at this point in any simulation... We even can program from incockpit a flight plan!...and give names to waypoints etc...this is crazy awesome! Not to talk about the very well done flight model, damage model, and all those little details so close to reality (it seems to me anyway) It is total immersion, furthermore flying with the TM Warthog joystick hotas :clap_2: ...and Ricardo cockpit mod! Still complete newbee of course, but i'm glad i can now manage full cold start, take off, landings, navigation (still in progress), and target destroying with few weapons (basic ones still...). Even managed to extinguish fire on one engine in flight (get hitted by ennemy guns), stopped this engine and flew back home and landed safely:thumbup: Great flying experience ;) A little question to TM Warthog owners though: - it seems my hotas slew control isn't working on my TM Warthog. Have to use the keyboard keys...tried to re-map it via the option/commands, but left/right/up/down isn't recognised. Only when i press it, it's recognised as one button. So i can't move the targetting square, unless using keyboard. Any idea to solve this? (no big deal using keyboard, but i guess my hotas is supposed to work as the real one ingame...)

Military aviation basics at the early start was certainly not imperial for Anglo-Saxons such as Americans. Before you get any military planes, you were flying on French planes with metric gauges mind you (remember?) And we (the French) learned you how to fly with all the basics in metric, not imperial before you get any aerial army. Anyway i'll stick to my "ignorance" and as great nations such as Russians, keep measuring in kilometers/meters/liters/kilos. No need to impose world wide your measurement system, as you are doing for everything else. And yes, it's a pain to always translate, when all your life you thought in metric.
-
I fully agree! This is a must have mod, not only for low flying! Thanks a lot Toby
-
I would add to the manifold and RPM gauges: watch out the temperature gauges as well! (they all work together anyway)
-
It's a real pain for us metric natives users :noexpression: But on other hand, an accurate simulation has to have gauges as in it is in real. Cruel dilemne: Russian modules have metric gauges but incomprehensible cockpit texts, Americans have imperial but understandable texts... I think i prefer the first one :music_whistling:

Wow, didn't know Ricardo made a pit also for A10! Thanks a lot, downloading now

Hi fellow pilots, Just bought the last module missing in my hangar (A10C), and wanted to know if there are some must have mods for this bird? ...like cockpit improvment maybe, or else? Thanks in advance

Had recently same trouble...this solved it: 1. Go into DCS World>>Options>>Misc. > Check "Enable User Snap-View Saving" 2. load a mission. 3 . disable/pause your trackir 4. hit once "NumEnter" Default FOV aka Zoom and "Num5" Cockpit Camera Move Center 5.now use"Num/ - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Back until the HUD fills the space to your liking. 6. Fine adjust it with "Num2 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Down "Num8 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Up "Num* - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Forward "Num8" Turn Cockpit Camera Up "Num2" Turn Cockpit Camera Down "Num/" FOV- aka Zoom-in "Num*" FOV+ aka Zoom-out 7.Once you are satisfied - hit "RAlt+Num0" to Save current Cockpit view as default for this vehicle. 8.enable your TrackIr again.

Free Keyboard Maps for A-10C, F-15, KA-50, Su25T, Su27/33
Fifi replied to beniboy's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Hate to ask, but...any plan for SU25A, Huey, MI8...P51? :D -
Interesting stuff to know! Thanks for sharing. Let us know if it works in DCS...
-
Strange indeed!...only thing i could say more about frontal view, is i have set panel rendering to 512... And i'm also surprised (good way) that i don't have FPS drops above towns or any airfield. I re-tested and yes, my FPS are always increasing looking on sides (middle-up-down, the same) over towns or not! Same rendering in P51 SU25 KA50 MI8 Huey.
-
Forgot to say my lower FPS view is always forward (probably due to dash board instruments). As soon as i move on sides, i gain around 15 FPS...town or no town, airport or not.
-
What's the interest to get those new commands? I still have old ones because i didn't delete my input profile for Huey before updating, but i don't see why changing...old commands are working fine!
-
I tried to reproduce what you are describing, but i can't see nothing. Mouving head with TIR5 is fluent at any speed any altitude here... I tried to mouve very slowly, normal, very fast...all the same. I don't have huge FPS though. All around +-30 to 40 anytime, but my TIR view doesn't stutter at all. At least i have same good rendering as in others sims, like ROF for instance, wich is very perf demanding. Only sim giving me troubles as you described, was COD. I know it won't help you unfortunatly, and can feel your pain dealing with that. PS: I5 @ 3.2, Zotac 580, Win8 64, 8Gb RAM...VSynch on, MSAAX8Q, TSSAA on, everything on max, Aero desabled ingame, all shadows on, resolution 2560x1440... + running few mods like Ricardo BS2 cockpit, Enhanced terrain Low'n slow, Peter radio menu clickable, MI8 English black cockpit, SU25 English pit. On side note i have my TIR5 installed outside of any programfiles with latest drivers (i created new folder C:\TIR5)

Well i was wrong. In all modules, it's the same default key to trigger the radio: RAlt + \ But on my key board, i don't have right Alt! Only left Alt...and on the right side of it, i only have Alt Gr. I tried to make it work without success. So only way to me is to map a joystick button for example, so it works. And the names listed are different: - For the Huey, it's "Pilot's radio Trigger RADIO" - For the MI8, it's "Radio Trigger radio" - For the P51, it's "COMM push to talk" - For the BS2, it's "SPU9 PTT" - For the SU 25A, it's only "Communication Menu"...no radio to trigger. On side note, i thought i had to first bring the communication menu, then to hit "radio trigger" (or whatever it is called) to be able to communicate... but no. Just hitting "radio trigger" brings up the communication menu directly, and i can choose what i want. Other side note, in the P51, no radio frequencies to set and choose...it's a box on cockpit right side, with red buttons pre-programmed. The B button is for all towers communications.
-
Have to check it, but the default key might change from a module to an other too... The listed names are different here from a module to an other, for the same purpose. That's really not easy to find out the way, furthermore for non English natives and newbees! :) I'll try to list the exact name and corresponding keys for the 4 modules i own...
-
Thanks again Robin  Good info for me, i'll test it tomorrow now.
-
BINGO! Thanks a lot, all is fine now  BTW, for the Huey it's called "pilot trigger radio", but the same feature is called differently in other modules!! :( Could some kind pilot over here tell me how it is called ("pilot trigger radio" fonction) in the numerous options of P51, MI8, SU 25A and KA50 please? Have some great trouble finding keys because my game is in French and half the keys are listed English, half in French... @ MadTommy: thanks for your link and help!

A simple one, but i like :)

In the Huey, beeing at Batumi airfield for instance, i set the VHF radio to 131000Mhz (batumi tower) then turn battery "on" + VHF power "on", then turn the switch to "3"...and no response when asking via com menu to start engine... It doesn't work on any airfield (cold start or engine running) :helpsmilie:
