  1. Hmmm, if only someone put it in bold and large letters in THREE places on the changelog.
  2. You'll just have to wait on this, the old system for the Ship TACAN will be deprecated next update, it used the mission file and dead reckoning to figure out where the ship would be. I have found a way to get Ship and Tanker positions exactly so a proper TACAN, A/A TACAN and ICLS will come in the next update. As for the tacan remaining when you turn the tacan off can you submit an issue on github please so we can keep track of it https://github.com/heclak/community-a4e-c/issues
  3. They are referring to the defect where you use active pause and the engine will shut down. The fuel trans light coming on at low RPM is correct/realistic behaviour this is because the bleed air from the engine is not strong enough to power the wing transfer pump so the pressure is reduced, indicated by the light. This light will also come on when the wing tank is empty since there is no pump pressure.
  4. Yea the fuel pump thing in active pause is strange, haven't looked at it yet though since it's quite low priority for the moment.
  5. I got the external sounds working. I put the sounds that plusnine had made in and this was the result, no tuning yet: https://streamable.com/fzgqf8
  6. Hello everyone. This is a beta release for testing, and is expected to be the final beta before we start looking at a full 2.0 release candidate build. This is the fourth beta release for the EFM. Included is a hefty changelog, including some long-requested fixes. Thank you for all your continued work testing and troubleshooting! See the full list of changes and download the package at the following URL: https://github.com/heclak/community-a4e-c/releases/tag/v2.0.0-beta-4 As always, please continue to report issues, unexpected behaviours or important feature requests to the issue tracker at: https://github.com/heclak/community-a4e-c/issues
  7. What version? I believe this was fixed in beta-2 or beta-3. They downloaded the latest beta, this was already fixed a couple of months ago I think.
  8. You should get a signature backed by an authority that way antivirus will be less likely to quarantine it.
  9. https://github.com/heclak/community-a4e-c/issues Thanks.
  10. You installed it in the wrong place, check the instructions again. Oops people already gave you the answer. Nevermind.
  11. If we wanted to raise issues like this what would be the best place to raise them? Feature requests? The radio improvement would take very little time to implement a lua hook for (I know because we reverse engineered the radio to work for the A-4). It would make it much easier for modders to implement radios in their mods and make mid air refueling possible for those that have the ability.
  12. Forgive me if this is slightly off topic. It's good you guys are putting together a modding guide. Do you know if ED plans to add some quality of life improvements to the existing API? For example allowing the radios to be connected without requiring a hack or allowing avSimpleWeaponSystem to give a tone from the frontal aspect with all aspect IR missiles?
  13. How is it to prevent cheating when lots of the simulation code is ran client side? It's absolutely trivial to inject a dll and start messing around with the client side simulation.
  14. As rudel said, it was only fitted with the J-52-P6/A or the J-52-P8/A. Our A-4E has the J-52-P8/A as this was the engine I could find with the most detailed data.
  15. Hello Everyone, Version 2.7.0.4625. To reproduce: 1. Start any mission. 2. Fly so that the sun is off the nose. 3. Observe there are shadows in the footwells for the rudder pedals despite them being clearly occluded by the plane. This also happens with the Community A-4E-C. If the fix is aircraft specific would someone mind sharing the solution with someone on the A-4E team so we can patch our plane too. If the fix is global then we hope it should just work by default when patched. Thanks, JNelson EDIT: This only happens with options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true in the autoexec.cfg, since this is an experimental feature, this is not a valid defect. If anyone experiences this just set this setting to false or remove it from your autoexec.cfg.

  16. Hello everyone, The issue displays itself in the model viewer too, here you can see the cockpit wall does not produce any shadow. The cockpit frame should put the switches in shade but it can clearly be seen (orange circles) that they are being lit through the wall. This can also be seen in the pedal foot wells. Here is a picture taken from the outside. If anyone knows a solution I would be eternally grateful. Thanks, JNelson
  17. Sounds like a control issue with your setup. You can break less hard you just need to get much closer to be in range. As I said in range means if you broke up by 45 degrees the bomb would release, doesn't mean you have to. You can wait to be closer, this will generally be more accurate.
  18. You can use any AWRS mode. For the autopilot thing, I'm sure this is just placebo, or during your process to enable the autopilot you are mistakenly flicking the Stab Aug switch. This switch is for the yaw damper. You do not need to have the autopilot to be engaged on for this to work, you just need the AFCS Standby switch on.
  19. If the in range light is on it means the computer is updating its point on the ground, once you press the pickle it locks this position in. In range means if you were to pull up by 45 degrees it would release the bomb. Provided you are actually are doing as you say all you need to do is keep pulling up until the bomb releases, or get closer then pull up.
  20. You cannot release from the central pylon with pairs mode selected on the AWRS.
  21. The LABS is not modelled. However the CP-741/A bombing computer is modelled. As a placeholder it is on the LABS switch. This will change to the CMPTR switch in future.
  22. Don't forget the A-4E EFM : https://github.com/heclak/community-a4e-c/tree/develop/A-4E-C/ExternalFM/FM
  23. v2.0.0-beta-3 has been released, anyone who was waiting for fixes/additions can get it here: https://github.com/heclak/community-a4e-c/releases/tag/v2.0.0-beta-3
  24. Yea that's because the Hornet has a V/UHF radio. The A-4 does not have a VHF radio only a UHF radio.
