I just got PersianGulf but Nevada seems more beautiful in the videos. I saw people complaining it has just too few air ports and things like that. Is it worth buying? Is it much used in Multiplayer too?

Keeping an eye on the HUD is much easier to me yet. I tried to watch the tanker right now but its harder. When I keep my attention to HUD its easier anticipate my aircraft movements, because the first thing to change is AoA and gun cross moves first. Also I can keep FPM on horizon much easier and see the speed number. Last time, I was switching my view between Hud and Tanker all th time. Its not bad. Its good to look to tanker only when my aircraft is very stable. For awhile that is the only thing that works to me.

I refueled my external wing tanks today for the first time. When I try to look to tanker I always over correct and have to cancel ant begin again. Is it easier to do with some air breaks or no breaks?

Im learning to air refuel and its hard! I can get some fuel but not complete the refueling yet. The harder part is to control the speed all the time. Is there some HUD help to air refueling? The real F-16 has one HUD mode for this task?

When you plan a mission do you usually think about fuel consumption or just about aircraft combat radius? By the way, whats is the average F-16's combat radius in DCS?

How is current open beta quality compared to 2.5.6 available on Steam? Should I move to Open Beta or stay in current version?

If I will build a mission how should I decide what distances can I use with available fuel? How do I estimate my possible range to fly in bingo fuel? What the best speed to get max range?

I had some problems with ILS too. There some kind of bug with it in some airfield it seems. Try another airfield to test it. Dont forget that ILS volume knob can turn off ILS too.

Ok but I think I could get more updates in the F-16 faster right? Do you think I would have more problems with OB or the change worh it?

I would like to buy some new maps. Does anyone knows the real size they occupy on the disk? Another issue: I notice some freezes and micro freezes during gameplay. I moved the terrain folder to my SSD and that diminished the problem but didnt solved it completely then I put pre-load radius at maximum and the problem seem to disappear for while. This micro freeze problem also occurs to you with the game on hard drive and pre-load radius at max? SSD is really mandatory at this moment? The open beta version performance is worst or better than current 2.5? Should I use the Open beta versaion?

Which radio has the greater range in DCS. VHF or UHF? It would be better to use the greater range to ATC and the other to wingman right?

Based on I have seen, they are basically the same but Dogfight key is a faster way since you dont have to take your hand off the Hotas. Also dogfight offers you two options.

When we filter data link tracks on radar the NONE option removes all tracks from data link and TGTS option removes surveillance and PPLI tracks so what information from data link is really left in TGTS filter?

I unistalled the DCS complerely and reinstalled. Everything returned working correctly but when I replace the config folder inside "Saved games\DCS" and the bug returned! Then I deleted the "saved games\DCS" folder, the game recreated it and it returned working again. Strange that when I only deleted saved games\DCS folder it didnt solve the problem because there were just two files different in the config folder: An autoexec.cfg file which was limiting the fps (I dont remember when I put it there but it didn't cause problems before) and the lack of the BdaPosition.lua file. I think there may have been other problems with the installation when the game updated too. Thanks for all help!

This is just a suggestion man. ED devs will implement it if they think its useful otherwise they dont. Simple. I just said: "those who agree, rate the topic".

You would not be forced to use the menus, but do you have something against those who would like them? I dont understand these complains because to have more possibilities do not force anyone to chance their habits.

My DCS is in Steam. This DCS_Updater works with Steam? I already check for file integrity in Steam but it didn'tt find any problem. Update: I redownload the F16 module - It didnt work; I renamed \Saved Games\DCS folder - It didnt work.

Im talking about to have more options. You could use the shortcuts the way u want too. There are are too many shortcuts in DCS, unless you build a full cockpit you cant put everything in a HOTAS and use pc keyboard is very awkward. Clickable cockpit is great but there's still lots of shortcuts beyond that. I prefer menus than use the keyboard, and if we could create our own menus it would help a lot.

I realized that radio is not working too. I thought the radio was not implemented yet but now I saw a video and it is. The option easy communications is enable but I cant use radio to ATC and anything. dcs.log

Only time I added something or mod was some skins to M2000C but in that moment (maybe a year ago), I had no problem. Some weeks ago I bought F16 and it was the first time this issue happened. Anyway Im loving F16!
