  1. This thread is just about this. And the fact it does not help. Or it works only if it wants to. We are not idiots that can't do such things or did not try it.
  2. Let's hope in EDGE salvation. What scares me the most is the uggy buggy period just after release.
  3. Hamachi helped you this way? That is even more confusing. But when it works... We also tried it, but without any result. But it was some time ago when we did not know we must open port. Maybe it is just the thing it can "clean up" some ports. As I think about it, it shouldn't have any relation to DCS MP engine.
  4. We both tried. We succeded when he hosted. But only first try. Second attempt was invisible again  Uh. Strange thing is that we were able to connect when I was at home, but he remains invisible when I was out. I will double check router firewall, my firewall (which is off), proper port forward setting... I also have no problems with visible public server. The Hamachi thing is interesting. I've seen some mentions over forum. How do you use that? DCS won't allow you to put Hamachi adress into server adress line. It is via VPN alias? I was not able to find this setting in recent versions. I like Hamachi system as there are nicely visible configurations including selecting port and so on.
  5. Another thing I forgot to mention. Is it necessary (or better) for others than host to have this port opened? As I am experienced in other games' server configuring the answer is: "No."
  6. The invisibily of servers has nothing to do with me. I have just seen this somewhere recently, so I wanted to mention it. Thanks for advices. Will try again :( But even if my server is hard-to-find one, direct IP connect should do it. Just drives me crazy after a year of trying. Even with opened port we were able to connect to each other only once. Edit time: I don't know if I could make it work now, but these are quite valuable information in nice pack that should appear at least sticked on top of MP problems topic.
  7. EVERYONE, FORGET THE WORD LAN. I roughly know how this system works. Thanks for tips by now. I will check it when I get some time home. Edit: This is some kind of joke? I am on master server and I am not connected to internet. OK...
  8. It was just bad example. I didn't remember the right term. I created public servers as well. Problem is that my, or others server is invisible and cannot be connected. And this is permanent problem with DCS MP.
  9. Hello, My DCS career is maybe not too long. But besides all the small strange bugs and issues that bothers players, there is more actual problem that seems to be almost ignored. I think it is multiplayer. I have spent a year in DCS and the number of games we manage to play with my friend is surprising - 1. I don't mean playing in public servers. This works quite fine. But creating some LAN (or whatever it is) mission seems to be higher magic. Edit: I didn't mean exactly LAN game. I mean my very own public server game, where I can play my mission with my friends and blergh blergh... We tried static IP adress, port forwarding... Every recommended settings. In result, I usually cannot see the created sever in list, which I don't understand at all as it is master server. Direct IP connect works, but loading the mission dies halfway (also frequently asked issue). Anyone, who have any idea or magic trick how to make it work, please post, post, post... And stick it written in CAPS somewhere at forum title. Now I have two-three friends who are really interested in DCS and want to fly. How can we create some training missions where I can train them to get faster into game, when multiplayer system refuses to work? Now we can have some training time in publlic servers. Other players will surely appreciate runway messed with fireballs... And since some of them are interested in WW2 machines, I would like to create some dogfight scenario without strangers. What can I tell them then? Yes, play DCS, but forget about playing together because MP is someway crappy and noone knows how to make it work? As result of this problems which really bothers me and hopefully other players I would like to ask some points: 1. It would be appreciated to know if MP is being developed/fixed to work properly. EDs' answer would be nice. 2. What causes this MP behaviour? Game created within master server, still invisible, directly not connectable. To be honest, this bothers me the most. We MUST go through master server, we get fixed server IP at our account. I have seen some topics about Hamachi usage in DCS, but I have never got it. How can we use Hamachi, when IP is written into stone? 3. To speak for others, there is some server list which is not complete for some reason. Why? 120 servers found, but 40 visible? Sounds strange. 4. Is there a plan to make some search window in server list page? 5. If nothing better, could there be some support or manual how to work with MP, settings, whatever. Even some sticky, preferably locked, thread from someone who really understands the problem would be nice. Thanks for answers or solutions.
  10. Aaah, I see. I was just confused. This is quite significant change in functionality.
  11. Hello, Maybe I am wrong or miss something and there is nothing mentioned about the issue, I woul like to report a bug. Or at least ask about it. There seems to be a problem with gunsight. It is lit up regardless of its switch and cannot be turned off. Does anyone have the same problem? It worked in previous version.
  12. There are several things which can result in ILS bad function. 1. Make sure you have correct ILS frequency set and dont forget to turn the radio on. 2. Call ATC to get correct inbound heading for your landing approach. Then fly in this heading. 3. Dont forget to engage ILS nav mode instead of Steer Point. 4. Dont forget to klick the rocker switch on the same panel to see navigation needles on ADI. You will most likely not see them instantly. They need to be in ILS beacons' range to show up. Now you should see arrow-like needle on your horizontal indicator how it points to ILS heading (sorry, I cant remeber the shortcuts). I also recommend to set your course to runway heading. Then follow given inbound heading and keep your altitude at about 2500 ft AGL. Watch horizontal indicator and when the needle which points at ILS heading almost match your manually set runway direction, turn your aircraft into it. You should see glide path indicator needle on the left side of ADI. The vertical yellow indicator should appear quite early. Horizontal is little more tricky as it tend to appear when you are closer to beacons and you fly in correct glide path. I don't know what problem exactly causes this problems to you, or how experienced you are with A10C. Your description looks like you have uncaged the yellow sticks too early (doesn't matter if you did) and they just didn't show up. Or you were out of approach path. I also recommend to not learn ILS on Batumi as its ILS navigation sucks. Try Kobuleti or Senaki.
  13. Sounds smart, but I am not so dumb. I can clear their way. Problem with this mission is different. They tend to die before you can even reach the area and I haven't found any radio comm in the menu where I can tell them to advance. I can speak just with flights. I have met three similar missions in campaign and they always end in unability to make allied units move. I blame screwed radio communications. Solution? Fail the mission two-three times in a row and get another scenario.
  14. I think I have flown this mission recently and it was impossible to save them. 1 minute longer cold start and they got destroyed before you can even reach fence point. These missions in campaign are always waste of time, because these convoys wont move and reach anything anyway. A10 is also really bad at destroying multiple heavy armored tanks, so you are very hardly able to clear a way for your allies. I would rather jump into Ka-50 or Su-25T.
  15. Are we there yet? Just kidding. I hope to have it this week so hard.
  16. Also count with Maverick type. Among the most common Mavs - AGM-65D are IR tracking and AGM-65H are only optical. AGMs with optical seeker are generally pretty inaccurate when fired at moving target. Do you use live targets, or static objects? When you fire at group of normal live targets, they always start to move at the moment you hit the first one. AGM-65H often miss the second target in a row. And these Mavs are also quite difficult to lock at longer range. Or you must just wait for the solid lock as mentioned above. I haven't see the track, so I just wonder.
  17. I don't know. I was reeeeeally bad with Mustang when I purchased it. Destroyed 20 aircrafts (full sim settings) and then I always prayed for succesfull takeoff. It is much better now. I can make some consistent results (I still don't fly Mustie too much). Maybe it's the thing that Dora likes me :) I safely took off on my 2nd attempt. It is always about learning from everyone's own mistakes. What I actually like is her ridiculously short takeoff distance. It accelerates like rocket. 4-5 seconds to keep her on runway and you are safe. Since I own and fly many other modules, I wonder who else noticed that takeoff stick position is pretty much the same as the one in Mi-8 in hover?
  18. I think it is fair. The aircraft was made like this, it fly like this and we must just learn it. Agree with your BF 109. I already prepurchasef it and as it deliver, it will cause the endless topic about take off and landing.
  19. LOL. You have some point  Respawn is safer.
  20. Crying over Dora difficulty starting to be ridiculous. It is harder to taxi because it cannot steer with rudder. And it is not harder to takeoff. Just different. I seems that many simmers just cannot use rudder properly.
  21. The thing I would like to know personally is if there is a way do reload these systems on the groud. It always reminds me of Mi-8 nonfunctional refueling. I would really not like to respawn each time I want to fly again. Is there such an option? Repair?
  22. It is some interesting thing to try ingame. Vikhrs are deployable without HUD. It is just a challenge to get aiming reticle into locked area when you dont see it. But will it work vice versa? Vikhrs can be fired without Shkval solid lock. If your HUD allows you to set target with HMS, maybe it could work. But I honestly think it will not. Even if you manage to shoot it, you will most likely miss the target. These are mainly penetrating rockets with light explosive warhead, so they won't damage a thing.
  23. OK OK. Sounds good. I can only hope ED has someone who can speak in our goddamn strange language.
  24. I copy that. That is why it is discussion thread, not official. I and many Czech vpilots of here will surely appreciate to have it in it's home version. It just isn't Russian. Not even any other countries' which use it. And it is used worldwide.
  25. What a shame it is. Me not like it, but will argue not, ser.
