  1. I dont know. This campaign is great, but still there are some appearing bugs. Recently I wanted to fly it againg with my new pedals. And I get stuck again in mission 2 at Lazauri base in mountains, where the trigger just doesnt finish. If you want to fly this campaign despite stopped progress, just fly the missions separately. This campaign rocks!
  2. I am pretty sure there are no guys on any roof. There is no such thing in any mission through campaign. Except the last mission where you have to deploy them. Vetka is callsign of FARP near Leningor. If I remember it well this mission guides you to take some supplies to Leningor whilst the Mi-28 is shot down by rebels. You have to go to Leningori FARP first and pickup the Mi-28 crew on your way to base. If not, all I can recommend you is to read your briefing well an check your flight plan. Also always enter mission plan before you launch. It can make some things clearer. You will meet this heli in two more missions. Or there is bugged trigger. Then make a research ;)
  3. Not my case. I am graphic designer with just minimal 3D modelling knowledge. I also don't have software where I can unwrap it. So I will keep with editing premade templates by now. :)
  4. Yes, it does increase. I know. I just wanted to know if I can do such a thing and still have texture wrapping correct. Thanks for answers.
  5. Resolution is maybe a wrong term here. It is just pixel size divided by desired dimension in metric or inches. Changes of dimension itself is what matters there. When I edited my own Su-25T I realised in how poor quality these templates are. I would like to double size them to get some more details.
  6. Hello, I have some question regarding the creating and "upgrading" new skin. I would like to know if there is some exact resolution of the templates that DCS can use. Or there is some exact pixels dimensions. I am not sure if the template will still work correctly when I make it bigger. I.E. Su-25T template for wing is 2048 p wide and 1024 p high. Will it still be functional when I make it, let's say, double that big? Or there is limitation just for 2048x1024 that the program can use? As I looked at the other parts of this template it is obvious that the dimensions somehow corresponds with Bytes system. There are some aircrafts in DCS where I can literally read tech info on the door and I would like to create some nice detailed skin too.
  7. Well, I know how you feel. My head was also trying to explode when I tried to make these apps to work in DCS. DCS seem to have problems to accept emulated TrackIR inputs. :(
  8. OK, if you want to use Freetrack, do the same thing I recommended for NOIR. Find the instalation of PPjoy and make Freetrack work by this virtual joystick. Or there are some discussions how to force it to work. I strongly don't recommend these changes as they can completely screw all DCS inputs. But you can try: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2197587&postcount=243 Or there: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114706 I have given up personally and used Freetrack with virtual joystick output. And then went back into FaceTrackNOIR.
  9. You foolish man  Don't forget it is coming SOON. This is interesting one anyway. Looking forward to it.
  10. Ah, I see the problem. There is problem with output. Check if it works in DCS with Freetrack output profile (select it in Output box). Try it in controls menu and then ingame. If not, use Vjoy output. It works just like separate joystick for your view. I recommend you to check Gaming USB devices in your system. If there are two Vjoy's visible, you can immediately check the axis' functionality with tracking on. Write them down to know which is which and then set them manually in DCS controls options. If Vjoys are not visible for your system (happens in Win 8 ) do some googling to find working version. You should also delete all view controls for this devices in DCS as these Vjoys have constant hat up input. Once everything is set, you don't have to change anything anymore.
  11. Forget the face. It can be used, but it is not very correct. It doesn't work in dark. Also you must wait a while to let the app find your face. There is box called Tracking filter or something like that. Go there and select Point Tracker. Click options and select your point model, fill in dimensions and so. Then hit start button at main window with your Freetrack point model on your head. It should work. In some cases it may be necessary (or better) to have some webcam software running. I use Youcam. Maybe the app have some problems to use your webcam. Does it show image when you start tracking?
  12. And are there videos with succesfull landing? Yes. Is it possible to land Dora? Yes. Then it is lack of skill when it goes wrong all the time.
  13. And who there can be certain about badly modelled flight model? Real pilots can feel the aircraft. We can't. We just rely on visual and instruments. Is there really something difficult in pulling the stick long enough to make Dora gently "fall" on runway? If there are people who thinks Su-25 is hard to land, then I give up any hopes given into any advices. LOL
  14. You should try different outputs. Maybe Freetrack output could work for all. I tried it this weekend, but I don't know, if it works, because my friend's notebook have buggy webcam. These outputs worked in options menu in DCS. What will 100% do the job is Virtual joystick output. Only thing that bothered me is that I had to set the view axis separately for each aircraft. But if you write them down on paper, it takes 5 minutes to set them. Then just fix the ones that are inverted. Don't be afraid you will not understand the settings. There are only input/output curves and global smoothing gauge. And you can even watch and set this while tracking is on. Just great. Just set the tracking filter to Point Track and see how it works. This app works 100% better than Freetrack. Just give it a try. I can help you in case of issues.
  15. I have a solution for you. Forget the Freetrack and use FaceTrackNOIR. It can use the same point models, it can automatically calibrate headset clip offset, it has nicely adjustable curves... Freetrack is way too old and somewhat buggy.
  16. I think none of us have ever flown Dora, so we don't have any idea how it behaves. This simulation is not poor or bugged or whatever. Isn't it better idea to learn how to land Dora than saying it is overly difficult and blah blah? It is completely same as 3 point landing with Mustang with the difference that Dora really doesn't like RPM changes.
  17. Thanks for reply. I didn't mean any exact shelude. Just very roughly. But nevermind if it is not sure. Good luck with officers.
  18. This project looks really interesting. I did not even know it is in development. I would definitely buy it as I know helos are briliant in DCS. I know it is quite ridiculous question in these parts, but I must ask: Is there even rough ETA of finishing it? 2015, 2016? Maybe it is mentioned somewhere in this thread and I just missed the info at some page.
  19. More Mig-15Bis threads for us! The more the merrier.
  20. I woulld like to add some more advices to this thread. I really don't know if Mustang is far too better in turns. Maybe a little (in AI case a lot), which can buy him some advantage. Talking about flying technique and tactic always remind of many dogfighting videos I have seen so far. Think some steps forward is good way how to beat more agile, although slower, opponent. Many pilots does the mistake as they are trying to behave like some stupid version of SAM. They try to fly towards their enemy regardless of its trace. It is almost impossible to get behind him as they just cannot outturn him. Sitting in faster energy fighter is advantage only when you know or figure out how to use it. Doing climbing or combat turns, looping behind enemy and so. Mustang maybe turns little bit better, but the kill comes with the technique.
  21. Maybe it is just placeholder. But why not? It has German stick and compass.
  22. This is maybe the best advice. Dora needs some time to improve pilots skill and is very rewarding. Shooting at will is also good advice. AI models are little bit like flying tanks, but any ability to hit real (player) opponent will make him to fall back or crash, wastes his fuel, damage propeller, damage weapons system and so. I am little bit afraid that this AI model will force training players to make some bad dogfighting habits. Like waiting to shoot only at the time where it is almost sure to turn enemy into pieces. But player model airframe is much more fragile and vulnerable. Shooting at any opportunity is better choice there.
  23. Mustang AI is quite beatable one. I recommend you to try dogfights vs the easiest skill level AI. I fly Dora a lot these days with my new rudder pedals and I am surprised, how good she is in turns. Maybe try another tactic. Don't try to outturn Mustang too much. If you keep some energy and use combat climbing turns, he won't be able to reach you and you eventually loop behind him. As you are on his six, he will have very hard time to run away. When you end in chasing each other in circle, you should win this with full throttle as he is generally slower than you. Forcing your enemy into vertical fight is also a good idea. Mustang is about 500 Kg to a ton heavier. He just can't escape you. I 100% agree with AI indestructibility. I often have hard time to shoot AI Mustang down. After some 40 minutes long fight he turns into smoking wreck with holes everywhere, often withstand more than 40 hits from Dora's powerfull weapons and still continue to fight. Let's hope this will be improved in future. Maybe it's more like it MUST be improved as there is complete WW2 series incoming.
  24. Seriously? Delete previous binding in axis setting menu, doubleclick it and move the throttle up and down. Or assign it manually by selecting throttle axis. Then try ingame if it doesn't work reversed.
  25. Something like this (or this one exactly) should be sticked.
